My family visited this restaurant for dinner, only to be deceived into paying $63.65 instead of the actual amount of $38.65. My daughter and her husband's food was subsequently removed due to her experiencing an illness. Both receipts indicate that $63.65 was debited from our account, including a senior meal that was supposedly unpaid. Instead of obtaining the senior license plate, which belonged to my father, the manager, Mireya, gathered my son's credit card for making the payment successfully and added his license plate and the vehicle registration to the FLOCK camera database. The manager, Mireya, subsequently lied to the police, claiming that the payment was not made. Consequently, the police placed my son's license plate into the FLOCK system. The following day, my daughter-in-law and my autistic grandson were pulled over by police with their weapons drawn, as they were searching for the registered owner of the vehicle in which my son resides. My daughter-in-law and grandson were traumatized by the incident, and my daughter-in-law is now extremely fearful of driving. We have provided receipts that have been removed from my son's account. However, the manager, Mireya, asserts that she is unable to take responsibility for her actions and that this matter is up to the police officer. She has also been untruthful about the entire situation, causing significant stress for my family. When I visited the restaurant to confront them about the overcharge and the so-called unpaid senior meal, Mireya refused to accept any accountability for her actions. She is attempting to conceal the incident. Mireya claims that she has no knowledge of how to resolve this matter and that it is up to the police officer. However, she has been inconsistent in her statements about the entire situation, which is causing immense distress to my family. The manager, Mireya, has also denied providing me with the case number for contacting the HPD. She stated that she spoke to the officer and that the matter is under investigation. However, she has provided multiple conflicting statements . She has also refused to provide me with the contact information for corporate office or the general manager. This is my regular spot for crawfish and today was extra spicy and good. Looks like they added a chili oil when they cooked the crawfish today so it was super easy to peel and extra tasty. I come here at least once a week for my crawfish fix year round and for the most part it's worth it. The place is kept clean even though I can't comment on the restroom because I don't use it. The service is great, the staff is attentive and the refills keep coming until you've had enough. I usually get the spicy #5&6 noodles with grilled shrimp made on the hibachi after my two or three full plates of crawfish and Texas toast. There are plenty of choices available for everyone. Met a buddy for dinner and found the egg rolls to be bad. You could smell them a foot away. They pulled all of the egg rolls from the buffet and didn't charge him for his meal. Ultimately it did it's job, left with a belly full of food and a solid place. We had trouble getting refill and service could've been better. The crawfish they had looked good too, not frozen. So here's the breakdown of my unbiased, fact-based review: Environment: I really admired the casual ambience of the restaurant. It was dimly lit which I didn't like because I like brightness but the sign outside and the aquarium inside made the restaurant look aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Inside, rows of tables full of customers surrounded the center of the buffet where all the food was. Due to the large number of customers we actually had to wait at some stations to get our food. Score: 4/5 Service: Our server was Karla, who was nice but she wasn't very attentive and was socializing with her coworker who was on break during the majority of our time there. I actually had to walk up to her once to get a refill for my dad. The ladies at the register and the Mexican lady cleaning the restrooms were very friendly. This is a good Buffet with a Huge variety of selections, they even have self serve on Ice Cream and it's delicious, premium stuff. The kids and I like the Butter Pecan. I recommend the hibachi area where you can pick your own ingredients and hand it to the cook where they cook it right in front of you. The only reason why I didn't rate it higher is because of the Management there. I learned that the TIP JAR in front of the cook is NOT FOR THE COOK(S), IT IS FOR THE MANAGER. so DON'T TIP the cook. They have semi truck parking, the place is very clean, 7 different islands of buffet food, ranging from fruits, salads, sushi, Chinese food, and ice cream. I was hired to work as a manager. And at the end of the day, I have decided that this company is not the right one for me. The General Manager Ying was annoying and unprofessional. After working in 5 stars Hotels ;ending with a Director position, such as the Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Sheraton , Hilton an other major corporations, I felt that management was very poor. You cannot be a Manager & a Cashier or Hostess all day, you will compromise the quality of supervision which will effect the quality of Food & the quality of Service and at the same time neglecting Food Hygiene practices to insure Health and safety for all customers. Considering that I put a whole day of work covering for a Hostess that did not show up. And after I informed the manager that I am not interested to continue, I sent a message twice through texting requesting my paycheck for one day, but i did not get any reply. It is totally unacceptable not to get paid for nearly 11 hours of work more or less. I really think that this was the General Manager Ying decision not to pay me in an effort to punish me for my decision to quit. We were here to celebrate Mother's Day(Mexican), and it seem like a fair place, the usual Chinese buffet, but they have the hibachi grill which seems exciting. Also the ice cream was good. What I can say I didn't like was the booth we had assigned, we were a group of eight and it was like a half moon booth, this is the worst type of table you can have at a buffet where everyone is standing all the time. While we were up getting food a glass from the chandelier fell hit the thick glass display which broke.. hitting me and glass shattered everywhere. I immediately grabbed my arm cause I could feel glass in my arm and on side of my face. People asking me if I'm ok including Chris cause he seen when it hit me. The manager Benny came over I told him what happen just said I'm sorry. No questions asked if I'm ok. People were still trying to grab food from there and me and Chris's were stopping them because I'm sure glass fell in it because it was everywhere. He didn't even try stopping them. My first mistake was going in at dinner time. we were pleasantly, greeted, but in Spanish, NOT in English. Then we were escorted to a table and given plastic gloves to serve yourself at the buffet, the next table to us was occupied by a large family with small children screaming at the top of their lungs, Parents were too busy stuffing their faces to care. I addressed the issue and were told that their were no other tables available. Fortunately they were almost done eating and left about 10 minutes later. For the most part, most adults were wearing their masks and the gloves issued for serving. they ask that you wear your mask and place new gloves on as you approach the serving area. Later on, i did notice ADULTS approaching the buffet table without masks, nor wearing gloves, rubbing their nose or mouths, kids running around with no parental supervision which just confirmed that the mask and glove rule is only to convince you that it was safe to come and enjoy the buffet. It is NOT enforced whatsoever. This will be my last time at this establishment. P.S. The food is not all that either ! I will be visiting other places and stay away I'll be glad to pay the extra amount for better service and food along with ambiance. That's not the reason three star rating. There service was horrible! It took them about 10 minutes to get us seated just because they didn't know which one of them was taking us to our table. I took my dad who is handicapped for lunch. I specifically asked the hostess for an open table because my father is in a wheelchair. She led us to a booth which made it impossible for me to seat my dad. I politely asked her to please find us a table so we can pull the wheelchair up to the table. The dismissively gave me a look and said "there is none, there's your booth". I asked for a manager as I felt she didn't handle the situation properly. We could have waited for an open table but she felt the need to force the booth on us multiple times.The manager dismissed us as well refusing to identify herself. We had to leave. I've never thought I'd experience this kind of discrimination against handicapped people. I was so upset that it ruined my appetite. The worst part is i could see her grinning under the facemask as i asked her for her name. She simply said "No" and dismissed us. They shouldn't be allowed to treat handicapped people that way.
