Loved the service and food!

Delicious food!! My family requested Chinese food and really loved it!!! Thank you for a great meal and service.

Robin K.

Food was serviceable from what I hear. The empty place setting you see in the picture is mine because I couldn't order sweet and sour chicken with vegetable chow mein. It wasn't offered and I don't eat rice and they don't allow substitution. I would have had to order two full meal plates to get what I wanted. Ridiculous and far too rigid. Server wasn't helpful. Couldn't explain why they couldn't do a simple substitute that I would have happily paid for. One of my party ordered the teriyaki chicken, but didn't like it and didn't eat it. Server offered to pack it up, but didn't bother to ask if something was wrong with it or something else could be made. Still on the final bill. Must have been in a hurry to get back to watching UFC Horrible, indifferent service. Won't be back

Friendly owners. Food continues to be enjoyable and good quality. Happy to have won ton soup and moo shu option on the island. Tasty and satisfying.

Dirty plate.

I'm a local and should have known better. Perhaps the worst meal I've ever had. Plates had built up grease on the plates - ran my fingernail across the plate and nothing but dirty grease under my nail. Partner's utensils were dirty as well. Tasted just briefly and that was a big no - left the plate with most of the food untouched. Staff was non-apologetic. Paid the bill and left. Ceiling has a big whole with exposed insulation and people swearing.

Pecking Duck Pizza

I was at friday Harbour with family and our ferry came a little late and we all were starving. We saw this place and Fung Fu Pizza sounded very funny to us and we decided to give this a shot. We ordered a Pecking duck pizza. It came out delicious with lots of cheese. There were no customers except for us.

a tray of fried food

My fried wontons were just fired nothings. I thought wontons were supposed to have cream cheese or something inside. What that hell dude.

The new owners are doing an excellent job. I really like the Korean short ribs. Would recommend.

Exactly what we wanted. If you want solid Chinese food, order here. It was ready pretty fast on a busy night.

Expected it to be served with peanut sauce, but did enjoy the sweet sauce it came with. The heat scale is 1 to 10. We asked for med and she wrote down "3". When I questioned that, she said they run hot. The panange curry was mild. I asked for fresh chili sauce to bring up the heat for more balance. I also found the sauce on that dish to too thick/heavy. Loved the fried rice with veg and added pork. And our favorite dish was the basil noodles with chicken. Great layered flavors. Sevice was fine, though once we had our food, it was hard to flag down someone for a napkin.

Everything was great but the Pad Thai and Green Curry were especially good, and the Bangkok Fried Rice came with a quantity of seafood. All of the portions were large and the green curry did some with a side of rice. Service: The phone order process was smooth and was about a 45 min wait since the restaurant was busy at the time (Thursday night). Pickup was easy and the staff was really kind and offered us sambal spicy sauce and a homemade chili oil Price: Dishes come at about $20 each which is pretty standard, and the portions were generous enough to feed 4 with some leftovers

FOOD Stir-Fried Dried Green Beans ($19.95) The winner is this category would be Tropical Island Restaurant on Shelbourne; however, The Cozy Place offering would be close behind it. Decent with some crunch still; you can get it spicy or not. Ma Po Tofu ($19.95) You can order it meatless or minced pork; it's somewhat authentic. It does have some heat to it (for those sensitive to spice); however, it's pretty solid! === 3. SERVICE Service was good and professional on call-in, payment, wait, questions around the menu, and when the order was ready. English was fluently spoken by the lady working the front and the man cooking the dishes behind her. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a long, narrow restaurant - your group of 6, maybe 8 could fit at one table in the front. For everyone else, you're accommodated in tables of 2's or 4's along the wall. If bringing a wheelchair or baby stroller, I would stick to the table in the front. Parking is all metered on the street - note that the city has their parking enforcement office basically across the way working until 8pm, so put payment into the meters upfront even if you're coming by to do a quick pickup!

We ordered 2 of the bang bang shrimp rolls and it did not disappoint. The crunch from the fried shrimp and all of the flavors combined were perfection.
