Let me start of by saying I love the China king buffet franchise but this location has got to be the worst, lowest quality most expensive place I've ever been to. The service was a 4/10...they get a 4 because there was no communication just pointing, not much to say about that. The place was pretty clean but the food just all looked like straight garbage and unappetizing. Like I said I go to the one in cedar hill often to compare. The wait at the TX restaurant across the lot was an hour long so we hopped over to China King where there was no wait and a big wide selection of food our kids would eat! Surprisingly good were the Buffalo wings, crab Rangoon, Chinese egg rolls, and even their choice of fortune cookies. Overall it was ok. The food was actually fresh and there was a large variety. The stuffed mushrooms were the best to me. The service was good, we were promptly seated at a table and the waitress gathered our dirty plates quickly. The ambience was nice, there was a decent size crowd (it was lunch time). By far my favorite Chinese Buffet. The food selection is amazingly diverse. I highly recommend the frog legs, pepper chicken, and lo mein. There was an abundance of dessert as well with 6 scoop ice cream, cakes, pastries, etc. Price was about $15 and I know for sure I ate WAYYY more than that. I had a terrible stomach infection. Severe diarrhea. I drunk an entire bottle of pepto bismol and still didn't feel better. I had to go to the hospital for fluid loss and antibiotics. Don't eat from their sushi collection. You will get sick. read more

Food had various temperatures, mostly cold,some warm. Food safety guidelines are not being followed. We asked for hot mustard, was directed to the check ot window where we received packets that had a Panda on the packet. This was not traditional hot mustard. Product details: crab ragoon- dry, overcooked, Chicken wings- dry crusted on the exterior of the wing, the product was overfilled in the pan causing wings to loose product temp ( cold). The flavor of the wing had a " tang" in the test suggesting product issues. The wing sauce on the wing had an off floor. Egg rolls - wre cold on the first bite. Ordered steak from the hibachi grill, it was swimming in beef blood in the pan on the cold table. Meat turned out to be very tough and hard to chew. The desert section had several choices. We won't be returning any time soon. The price for this experience was $29.00 for 2 people. read more

OMG. I should have jumped on Yelp for Reviews. It has 4 stars on Google. Nope! Go to a chain restaurant instead . Enjoy some Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden. This place is ghetto. The booth we were seated at was all tore up. The food...it's ok. I've had worse. But the price does not justify it. We spent $48 on two adults and a 6 year old. Will not come back. This place doesn't received enough credit for what you're getting at such a reasonable price. The quality is quite decent and the selections are fairly wide. They even have a section for a more "western" dining for those who aren't too familiar with Asian cuisine. Personally not for me and I'd rather they take that section and add more Asian dishes. In my opinion, if you're not down with eating Asian/Chinese cuisine, go to Golden Corral! Like I mentioned, the selection is quite varied. They have a sushi and Mongolian/Hibachi style section. Although the Mongolian/Hibachi is closed during covid, it's a definite must try when it's open again. Service is great and the staffs are very attentive. Hey my fellow foodies. It is with a sad heart and upset belly that I am posting this review about Mansfield's China King Buffet. I seldom ever post anything negative on here. I know that every restaurant, Chef, wait staff can have great days and days that are not so great and I tend to visit places a couple of times before I make a post on the over all rating. But I have to say I was very disappointed with my experience with China King and I don't believe I will be going there again. The food was adequate (no flavor, dry, over cooked,) but okay, it's a buffet and you please the masses so a lot of times you add salt and pepper and enjoy. Our wait staff was curious and attentive enough (it was a busy dinner shift on a weekend) so that too was understandable. The thing that really sealed the deal for me was how dirty the restaurant was. The table was sticky, the booths upholstery was torn and worn and the entire place just kind of smelt like it hadn't been deep cleaned in awhile. I know that things break, sometimes food can sit to long, the cooks forget to add salt, wait staff get busy and don't bring your drinks and you can't sweep every day....but slippery floors due to grease, carpet that has massive stains, back of chairs so sticky that is leaves residue on your hands all combined just made me not want to return to this location. Which is sad because I do love a good buffet! Happy Eating everyone, but please be mindful of this place. I'll be on the search for a local buffet. read more

I enjoyed the choices here compared to other Chinese Buffet's in the area I've been too. Here is a great place to go when you don't cook all these choices, my boyfriend loves seafood and sushi, so to come here he can get whatever he wants and how much he wants. if i could give this place 0 stars i would omg. me and my boyfriend arrived first then my sister and niece met us shortly after. everything seemed good at the start but we were in for a surprise. the first plate me and my boyfriend got was good but that's where it stopped. went back for seconds, i got some of their seafood boil items and the shrimp was gummy and cold right along with the sausage and corn. everything was cold except the lo mein and fries that they actually replaced with fresh items. my sister got her a plate of lo mein too and she ended up finding what looked like a beard hair in her food and the restaurant cashier tried to blame us for putting the hair in there saying that none of his cooks had hair like the one on the plate as if that mattered?! THIS IS A BUFFET with multiple people coming up so the hair could've came from one of them!! he then proceeded to give a $6 discount off the meal instead of just comping my sister as any other restaurant has that we've been to when we run into this problem. can't forget to mention the terrible service from our waitress. she literally checked on every table and would look at us and still pass us up. we had to put our hands up to get her attention but nobody else really had to. we all only got to get one refill because that's how little attention we were paid. i will never return here honestly!! the food and service wasn't even worth it especially when it made our stomachs hurt before we could even leave the restaurant. save yourselves & your money, DON'T COME HERE!!!!!! i literally had to come back and edit this review because it's the next day and we ALL got food poisoning from this place, DON'T COME HERE!! read more

I will say based on the reviews I didnt have high Hopes but willing to give it a shot. We arrived right at 5pm on a Wednesday. Even though the parking lot was full... there was only 1 other table in the entire restaurant. By the time we left at 630.... only 3 more tables were there other than us. All the food was very dry, like it had been sitting since lunch. And there was only a small portion of everything to begin with. While we were there I only saw 5 different items get restocked with new fresh food. The food itself was bland and mediocre at best. Our waitress was the best part of the experience, she was really nice, removed our dirty plates so quickly and even kept my 6 year old stocked up with lemons for her water :) read more

This is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The place was hot and tables were sticky. The beef was so chewy I had to spit it out. Been coming to this place for over 8 years if not more. Very laid back, casual and clean. They have a large selection of food which is why I drive out of my way for this place. Located off 287, it's always packed but very well worth it . They have a large selection of seafood, Chinese food, and healthy choices, they even have my favorite, oysters! The food is okay, it's like most that I've been to. Bacon wrapped shrimp was the best thing there but still mediocre because it was cold. A good amount of options but nothing that wowed me. They had the same stuff every Asian Buffett has. Seating was available right away and staff was fast to take and deliver drink orders. Now that I've told you about their food, let's talk staff. The staff is unfriendly. My mom fell because they were mopping (it wasn't close to closing) & my dad, who was across the room, had to help her up. The lady at the counter eyed my mom but didn't say anything. Finally my brother talked to another gentleman who gave her a false number for their insurance company. My brother only talked to someone incase my mom was hurt more than we could see. They said they'd call her to follow up, never called. My mom is still following up with docs. That establishment has not even called to check after the manager claimed he lost her number the first time & after she gave it to him the second time around. Unclassy & unprofessional. My mom is okay and fine but how they handled the situation was ridiculous. They are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Shame on you! read more

Waste of time and money. Unpleasant experience, if you want to get sick eat here. Employees were bringing food to the counter and touching it with bare hands and actually tasting it. Came here with my hopes up high. Only to realize it was another Chinese buffet restaurant. The 199 items was a hoax. I just didn't understand what was so exciting about this place. It was my niece birthday, she enjoyed it , but we did come late almost 30 min until closing time. Everything was a little cold and some of the dishes weren't fresh at all. I joked with the family that the restaurant look like the "Klumps" came by. The squid recipe was delicious! I would ate more but the kids were a little grossed out. . Where to start.. My wife and I use to come here a couple times a month. Hadn't been since early 2018. Today we device to give it another try. Food tastes like it's been out for hours, not fresh at all. Some of it is even a bit on the cold side. Went for lunch today and this was by far the worst Chinese Buffet I have ever had. To start off, the hostess that seated me was rude. I served a plate of different food items and rice and another plate of a roll, biscuit, egg roll, spring roll and wonton. Every item on both plates that I too a bite/taste of was cold. I started placing items on a napkin on the side of my plate. You could tell/taste that everything had been sitting for a while. I waited a bit to see if they would change out the food with fresh/hot items and they didn't. I said okay, maybe if I try different items and a side of ice cream. I served another plate with a few items and again everything was cold. I told the waitress and told her that the only item that was good and supposed to be good was the ice cream. She said sorry and handed me my bill. I proceeded to go to check out and tell the lady and she said oh, sorry and asked if I wanted anything else I said no I have to get back to work. She said that she was going to call someone else. A gentleman showed up and I told him about my experience. He walked off and came back. He offered me a to go box. I declined and told him the food was bad and cold why would I want to take any to go. He never once displayed empathy or customer service. Never once said sorry that you had a bad experience. Ugg try some place different Asian king in Hurst is the best . We decided to give this a try since its a lot closer and we didnt feel like driving , needless to say should of drove to hurst.
