China king food is outstanding and the counter service is quick. I've never had an issue with the quality, taste or value. I've only done pickup, never had delivery, so I can't comment on that, but I highly recommend China king. read more

we normally go to another Chinese restaurant but they have been closed for a month. kids were craving Chinese food so we ordered from here. It has to be the worst meal we've had in a long time. We ordered kung pao chicken and it tasted off, like bad. The rice was bland and not your typical fried rice you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. The wonton soup was bland and was cloudy. Tried to call to make right and their response was "anyway you can keep the food". That's your solution?? Do yourself a favor and find another Chinese restaurant there are many in the area. Here's to hoping I don't get sick. read more

Ordered takeout on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We ordered the special combination which includes pork fried rice and an egg roll. We were given a pickup time of 45 minutes. The food was ready to go when we arrived. Under $25 for our order which is reasonable. We loved our food. The sesame chicken sauce flavor was spicy and robust. The sweet and sour sauce was perfectly tangy and sweet. I normally don't enjoy egg rolls but the roll was fresh and crispy. I can see this becoming our go to Chinese spot. read more

I was craving Chinese tonight, so I stopped at china King. I was not disappointed! I got a shrimp roll which was the freshest egg roll I've ever had! And beef with snow peas, and fried rice. Fresh and very flavorful with lots of beef! Absolutely delicious! I've never been here before, but it will be my go to spot! read more

this is our favorite Chinese take out around us, and we have tried quite a few. They are usually pretty busy, so I plan on 45 min.

This is a pretty standard Chinese restaurant. We ordered the lunch special sesame chicken. The sesame chicken was pretty standard. I like that you get an option of an egg roll, soda or soup to go with your lunch special. Some places do not offer that many options. We got the wonton soup. I ended up eating it the next day, I was not impressed by the soup. We ordered a side of pan fried dumplings which were burnt. Kind of crazy they would still give those to you and not make a different batch if they burnt them. I did not notice until we got home. This is definitely not my first choice, but in a crunch it would be okay to order from here. read more

Only one restaurant can be king and this one obviously is king because it says so in the name. I have gotten the chicken lo mein a couple times and it is always good. For pick up orders they have been hooking me up with a box to carry my food in on the walk home. If you're looking for the king of food, look no further because this place is the place. My buddy Ian used to always try to tell me new york city had the best Chinese food, but in this case I think Ian is a liar. China King is king, it is as simple as that. read more

We were excited to order on our way home from a long weekend and was not impressed and immediately regretted not ordering from our usual spot in Penfield. Wonton soup was cloudy and bit into something crunchy. Lo Mein was mushy and lacked flavor. Sesame Chicken was good (broccoli was raw- not end of the world) but impossible to get person on phone to allow us to ask for fried rice. Egg rolls were good but overall disappointed with our order. read more

I've heard several "rave reviews" about the China King but I must tell you- it didn't seem special in anyway to me- just an average Chinese takeout place. Fast, convenient, and overall not bad in taste. Something memorable- no. Would I go back there, maybe. Would I suggest it to a friend- probably not, just because it wasn't that special. Prices were average and the meal was decent. read more

They leave raw food out not refrigerated refrigerated overnight. It is a very dirty facility.

The smell of hot sesame chicken is so intoxicating. This restaurant is quickly becoming my favorite short order chinese food restaurant in Fairport. It satisfies my craving for the typical fried rice you find at a place like this and the food is always served piping hot and with a smile. You can tell these guys really love what they do. read more

They took more than 45 minutes to get my order ready. The restaurant was empty I don't know why

My favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Great food portions. Great service. Great location.

Local staple. Excellent food, quick on delivery and pickup times. Even on the busiest night I only wait like an hour for delivery maybe 15 minutes more. But this is definitely take out and enjoy at home, no complaints this isn't a sit down for a fine dining experience kind of place but it is a great meal. When I'm out of town and craving Chinese I immediately look for a place that reminds me of china king. Best Chinese takeout in the Rochester area. read more

Good Food really quick polite delivery!! Couldn't ask for more!!! Delivery guy was super polite , food was hot when it arrived! Everyone enjoyed the dinner combos!' read more

Consistent good Chinese food. Great price. Food was hot and ready when I picked it up and still too hot to eat by the time I got home (13 min drive). Biggest pet peeve is how fast food gets cold, but this was not the case here. I absolutely will be back. read more

awesome food! always ready on time. the family that owns it is wonderful! I really recommend this Chinese restaurant .

I've been to China King a few times. Like another reviewer, I come here because it's predictably tasty. As in, meets or exceeds what you'd expect if you're looking for American Chinese fast food takeout. I'll keep coming back. read more

Best broccoli with brown sauce I've ever had! It's only listed on the lunch menu but they'll make it at dinner. Tastes fresh but still cooked through, comes with great white rice, and its a huge portion for only like $8! This is my favorite meal so I've tried it in every city I've been in, China King's makes me not want to leave Penn Yan. Get it!!! read more

Great lunch & dinner combo specials! Love their egg rolls and rice. Friendly staff and great service!

Quaint little spot in the village. Plenty of options and specials that come pretty well portioned. I usually get 2 meals out of the BBQ pork special. No delivery charge, just have to spend $10+. Which is usually a meal and 1 egg roll. read more

I found a huge, thick, black hair in my food and they completely refused to refund my order. Not to mention they mess my order up almost every single time. I'm done with this disgusting hole in the wall. It's unfortunate because they're closer to my house, but I'll be taking my business to Chef King instead and I suggest you do the same. read more

Poor quality food. Do not Recommend. Ordered several dishes including General Tso chicken, Sesame chicken, Both chicken & beef Teriyaki. My son tasted the sesame chicken & would not eat anything else that night. I finished it mostly to not throw it away, but it was indeed bad. All chicken & beef tasted the same as though everything is just made one way regardless of what it is. read more

China King is a fairly standard Chinese restaurant an prices are fairly reasonable. I often walk down there in the summer to grab an entree and some rolls and am often left with enough for lunch the next day. Dinner for two usually runs me a 15-20 minute wait that can pass by quickly with a walk along the canal. There is usually one person who handles the phone orders who speaks English though even when they're not at work that day it's not much of an issue; also delivery is available within three miles of the village. Overall if you're near the village and hankering for some chinese this place has your back. read more

This place is a greasy spoon, it's small with nowhere to sit, not that you'd want to eat in there, but the employees are super friendly, the prices can't be beat, delivery is free and the food is better than most dine in Chinese restaurants. Gotten take out probably over 100 times and never had bad food! We have 2 dogs and tonight when they delivered the guy had 2 dog treats in the box with our food! Thanks!! Awesome!! read more

This is standard American Chinese food, which many may not like, but it's exactly what I was looking for. The brown sauce tastes like it does at all of the other decent Chinese food places, they don't try to put a strange spin on anything, and everything has great flavor. I couldn't ask for more. Best Chinese food I've ever had? Probably not. But great, consistent, standard American Chinese food. Checkmate. read more

food is great! very fair prices! BIG portions! BUT plastic containers make carrots taste like plastic, sort of the rice too. need to change to cardboard! read more

Not bad Chinese. It's a good spot for takeout, not much in the way of seating or ambiance. The prices are fair and the service was fast. I'd go back again, but it's not a go-to spot for my family and I. read more

Quick and cheap. My kind of Chinese restaurant. This is definitely my go to spot for Chinese food. Highly recommend

Please start accepting credit cards!!! Other than that the food is great! Nice fast delivery as well !!

I have ordered from here before and it was very good. I ordered tonight and it was awful. I ordered sesame chicken - it was so over cooked, it was had to bite into. I called to complain and did get an "I apologize" that was it....will be a long time before I order from here again! Very disappointed!! read more

Really good my friend and I got this a couple times this summer and it was amazingly delicious!!!!!!!!!!

Good chinese staple. I get the stir fry with tofu and it's exactly what I want. ***cash for orders under $10 at the Fairport location

We've ordered from China King for several years. Tonight our food was delivered with cigarette ashes all over the tops of the containers. We called to advise we weren't eating the food and expected the driver to return with our cash. After stating we'd get a call back, an hour went by with no return call. We called again and after 10 minutes of waiting, they said they'd send the driver back. When he got to the house he was incredulous we wouldn't eat the food as the ashes weren't inside the cover! This will be the last time we order from them. read more

If I would have posted this a month ago, it would have been a five-star rating. We've been going there for 10 years, and always had great food. This past Saturday, we ordered the cashew shrimp. When we got it, we served it on three plates and realized that there were only two shrimp plus a hair! By the time my husband noticed the hair, my son's portion was half-eaten, and mine had been tasted. I called to say something, and the person on the phone went and told the owner. He said the owner would not do anything about it unless I brought the entire portion back and showed him the hair and shrimp. I explained that we had been customers for 10 years, and he said the owner did not care. When I asked to speak to the owner, the man on the phone says he does not speak English, and would just ask him to translate. Basically, we wasted over $6 on that dish. There are plenty of other good Asian places in Fairport that we can take-out from. I guess ten years of business means nothing to them. read more

i ordered a couple items off the lunch special menu. the customer service was ok just a little difficult to understand mostly. the estimated wait was 30 minutes. i actually waited 45 minutes...and the portions are smaller than i expected...so i actually didnt really like this place and i recommend east garden in fairport instead of china king...its located across from perinton wegmans 388 7280 is their number read more

I usually love this place and my company orders from there about once a week, NEVER AGAIN! Today we got our order and one of our employees saw their driver spit in the box with our food in it! Before he could stop us from paying for the food the driver left, I tried calling to say we wanted our money back and the woman kept saying,"what? I no understand, call back" and she hung up on me. After about 45 minutes someone speaking English calls back to see what happened, it was the driver! He denied spitting in the box until I said an employee saw him do it....then when I said I want my money back they said only if we give them all the food back, but when you have food possibly contaminated with someones spit you throw it away! I told them they could dumpster dive and get it, no response. I'm thoroughly disgusted with them and this whole situation....I wish there was a way to not even leave a star read more

I disagree with the other reviews. I find the food consistently excellent and the delivery very prompt.

We love China King. It is a small shop, so delivery is at least 45 minutes. Plan ahead! The portions are huge and the prices are good. My favorite is the crab rangoon appetizer. You get a ton of huge crab puffs for the price. I have paid 3x as much elswhere for far fewer/smaller ones! They employ native English speaking phone help for taking orders, but the owners speak English and understand it very well. We like to give our money to village businesses and China King is our go-to place for Chinese! read more

We called to place a delivery order and they do not take credit cards over the phone. Cash only for delivery! I rarely have enough cash or the right amount . I have not tried the food but will not since they make it so inconvenient to deliver! read more
