Crab Rangoons, pork dumplings, general Tso's, pepper steak, orange chicken, low mein and Kung Pao chicken, szechuan shrimp and bone in ribs

This is our go to Chinese Restaurant, we stumbled upon it 4 years ago and have made it a regular for us! I see other reviews saying recently things have changed but we disagree! For Christmas Eve we ordered 7 meals, low mein, dumplings and crab Rangoons! The meat is always tender, the sauce on the general tsos, orange chicken and Kung pao is flavorful and has a spice. We always call it in and it's ready when we get there to pick it up!

China Express & Concierge Service We've been searching for the best (and closest) Chinese food to be had around here and I think we've found it! We had a wonderful meal from China Express last week and the pickup experience felt like a concierge! Call ahead, order your meal from the friendly & solicitous staff (asked about green onions and veggie preferences - we said we like them ALL) describe your vehicle, drive up to the restaurant - park - no need to even get out because they will hand deliver the order to your passenger side window, running your credit card right there curbside! Magic! The food was yummy! We really enjoyed the sesame shrimp, chicken with cashews, cold sesame noodle, Szechuan wontons, pot stickers and of course - wonton soup. All packaged beautifully with all the expected accoutrements (or as my Dad calls them - cooter-mints) from the hot muster and duck sauces, chopsticks, fried crunchy wontons, to the fortune cookies - everything was delicious and top notch. The vegetables were especially well prepared - crunchy & tender crisp! Some people swear by matzo ball soup for when you're not feeling 100% and I bow in respect - but my go-to is Wonton soup. Nothing quite like it! Yum. Well done, China Express you have a new fangirl & family!

General Tso chicken, chicken fried rice, cheese wonton

When I started to read the reviews on this place, I was so confused/suprised about all the great things that are being said. So of course, I had to try it for myself. And I will say, this chinese takeout spot is a pleasant surprise. Here's 3 reasons why you SHOULD order from this takeout restaurant: 1. This establishment is detail oriented- When I called to place an order, they asked if I wanted dark or light meat, spicy or not, if I wanted onions in my fried rice, if i wanted broccoli in my General tao's. Never have I ever thought I'd have so many detailed options on my chinese takeout- since it's such casual dining I always thought it as more of "what you see if what you get" sort of deal, but not here! 2.The food tastes like it was made from the soul- Everything was fresh and homemade while still being able to satisfy your chinese takeout cravings. It also wasn't heavy & greasy like you'd expect, so you won't feel bad afterwards that you ate takeout. They gave us tons of sauce, cookies, and those fried wonton strips that are so yummy! Also there was this chili oil that is DELICIOUS!! 3. There is a man that comes out of no where with your order on a electric unicycle- This was the cherry on top. An absolutely brilliant concept that speeds up the curbside pickup process. I swear we didn't even have to call, he spotted our car then zoomed to the back of the building to get our order and brought it promptly to us. He made sure to emphasize that his hands were clean before handing us our food and not to mention he was actually wearing a quality mask not jus a face cover ( you'll see what I mean when you go there). They also return your card back in a little white baggie which is nice. To be honest, I find the food scene down here in bethany to be okay and nothing special- however Im glad that I found this gem. The whole experience was unique & I will be ordering from here every time I come down. I will say, out of all of the places I have ordered during the pandemic, this is the ONLY establishment that takes many precautions, so don't be worried about ordering. The experience was wonderful from start to finish, their food was delicious and consistent, overall they won my loyalty!

I almost get the impression that a couple of MBAs decided to buy a Chinese restaurant and "do it the right way." This is an exceptional Chinese Carry-out for phoning in. Their menu online is accurate, and during the order they solicit specifics about each item (small/large, spicy or not, mushrooms...) You then get an estimate of when the food will be ready, and they ask you to describe your car. At the appointed time, they spot your arrival, and bring the food directly to your car. Your credit card is returned in a little wax paper sleeve. Details like that are indicative of the service you receive. The food is arranged in bags and each little box is actually marked with its contents. The food itself is very good- the vegetables fresh (vice frozen), and the fried rice (which is an option in every entree instead of steamed) is not oily or too salty. They even ask if its ok to include onions! Historically, we used another nearbyy Chinese Restaurant, which had a much larger menu- but the "user interface" and food quality of this seeming little "hole in the wall" has now earned my loyalty!

The food in this restaurant is as good as any you will find in major cities. Has been good and consistent for many years.

There were great options for everyone, we had two seniors and they wanted stir fry options and the kids wanted noodles and rice while a few others were fiending for sushi. They were packed when we arrived, but thank goodness they had waitlist option, so definitely get on that if you plan on going there (keep in mind that to do so, you'll need to do it on their website and the website only goes up to a party of 8, so you'll need to do the max number and give them a call and they'll adjust accordingly) Once we checked in, we waited for maybe 10 minutes and were seated on the patio. The drink order was taken, then appetizers and entrees. The server was very attentive and we really appreciated that she knew how hectic it could be dining with 14 people. She took the entree orders for the kids while the adults were figuring out what to order and the adults appetizers came out quickly along with the kids entrees first so they weren't hangry. All in all, we'd go back again, the sushi quality was great and price point was great too! All 14 of us left very happy and satisfied.

I was initially scared by the current reviews, but took his word for it that the basics were decent. We live in Baltimore, where good Chinese food is hard to come by, but we know bad Chinese food when we see it! We called in our order because the website was unclear with some selections - Without no vegetables? What's going to happen? - which took no time at all. It was ready on time and survived the five minute drive home. While the hot and sour soup wasn't as tangy as I like it, it did have subtle tartness and lots of veggies - a happy surprise! We added some crushed red pepper and that honestly really helped. We chose white meat general tso's chicken and Mongolian beef (both requesting spicy) as our entrees. The Mongolian beef had lots of really yummy onions, but I wished there were more peppers. The beef was not slimy - thank goodness - but did seem a little thin. Would've preferred more meatiness. The general tso's sauce was not spicy at all, which was disappointing. It also could definitely have been crispier - however, the overall texture was fine. The long and short of it is, we're at the beach. It's totally edible Chinese food. My only recommendation is to travel with red pepper flakes so you're prepared!

Missing items, wrong entrees, overcharging etc. But this past week it was the worst and the cashier had the audacity to blame us and then state that even though they made a mistake and I had to drive back to the store, we got free food. On top of that she agreed they have a problem with their phone as you can't hear them so they get the orders wrong Nasty sweet and sour chicken I might add that was over breaded and overcooked to the point of being stringy. The prices just keeps going up where 2 entrees, 2 egg rolls and 1 wonton soup were $50. I'll never eat there again. The wonton soup broth is bland, the pork eggroll i had was only cabbage and the sesame chicken (which was the wrong entree) was 75% bland veggie rice that they charged an extra $2 dollars for that had almost no vegetables.

Where to begin......beef on a stick and chicken on a stick apps....both overcooked so bad that I can only assume the chef went outside for a smoke break while they were submerged in old cooking oil. 1 bite of each and into the trash. Kung Pao Chicken - I asked for white meat and just peanuts and scallions. I was told "no" because that would require "too much chicken" in the dish if he couldn't load it up with other veggies. We settled on just onions. It was like eating chicken in soy sauce water. No flavor, chicken was chewy and gross. Into the trash. The pan fried dumplings - store bought dumplings that were cheap and had no flavor. At least these were edible, but I could only manage 3 before they too went into the garbage. Bad enough so far? Here's the worst part. Hot and Sour Soup - was so thick and coagulated you could literally cut it with a knife. And it was hot, making it even more disgusting. My son tried it and immediately got up to spit it out and go brush his teeth. I literally spooned some out and it sat in my bowl like it was a flan. I've never seen anything like it. Straight to the trash. And finally, you can't mess up fried rice, right? WRONG. We opened the container and the rice had a grey color I've never seen in food before. See attached picture. I studied it up close because I was so curious how another human would "cook" that and send it out the door with a customer. I refused to even try a bite it was so nasty. How this place remains open is a mystery. This was top 3 worst dining experiences ever. Shame shame China Chef.

And they didn't put any soy sauce, sweet-and-sour, hot mustard, duck sauce in the bag to help with the flavoring at all, and now that I think about it, no Fortune cookies! We won't be going back!!
