Chinese food on bar with most places we've tried. I especially liked the dumplings and fried rice

I almost never leave negative reviews but I feel compelled since I always read and trust reviews! This food is horrible! The fried rice is orange colored , so dry, with a few (very few) pieces of dried out chicken. The orange beef was all tiny pieces of "meat" clumped together with thick, gooey coating. The egg rolls were practically empty, and the one of two that we ordered did in fact have a few shreds of cabbage or something similar, but it wasn't good! And finally, the pork lo mein was inedible. Absolutely awful!!!It was almost comical! The flavor was that of what I imagine burnt rubber tastes like !!! There were a few (VERY few) tiny pieces of "pork" that you honestly had to spit out unless you wanted to choke! We dumped the meal in its entirety straight into the garbage! read more

I was visiting Lewes as a cat/housesitter during the month of April. I usually cook at home when not on the road in my van but I had a desire for Chinese cuisine. I tried Hung Wang for takeout and I was not disappointed. Food was fresh, flavorful and a good quantity. I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Ordering and pick up was easy and quick. Still looking for a good Chinese food restaurant in the area... and this isn't it. Food was very odd with everything having a floral and high sodium taste. I want to like this place but after a few tries, I simply can't. Fried items were super greasy, like drenched in grease, I could only take a couple bites. Chicken dishes were a mix between white and dark meat lumped together and sweet and sour sauce was off multiple times we ordered it, almost oily? We are fairly new to the area and have been looking for a decent Chinese carryout. After trying a few, we found Hing Wang. We ordered Chicken and Broccoli, Orange beef and several egg rolls. We were not disappointed. The portion sizes were very good and the price reasonable. The young man behind the counter was very polite. This will now be our go to place. read more

This will be short , first time here as I walked up the front window was filthy dirty. Walking in the entire front room was unkempt, peeling paint and dirty walls at this point I should have walked out but I ordered shrimp fried rice and 2 egg rolls. The counter was dirty the kitchen was dirty and looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. There was a guy in the back walking around with a dirty apron. The food we have received in the past has been great. However tonight the wonton soup dumplings fell apart almost cooked way too long. The egg rolls were so greasy and overcooked we couldn't eat them. They appeared to have been cooked twice. The 2 other dishes we had were just Ok. I recently tried Hung Wang on a recommendation from a local hotel for my business stay. This place is take out only. The atmosphere is ok but the service was good. I ordered General Tso's Chicken, an egg roll, and fried chicken wings. The food was not only hot but also delicious and generously portioned. The plump chicken pieces with ample sauce made the meal truly satisfying. I would highly recommend Hung Wang for a delightful takeout experience and would definitely eat there again. read more

Meh Chinese takeout. Wonton soup is not impressive; the Lo Mein and chicken and broccoli are standard for the course. They are friendly on the phone which is good. I did not have to repeat myself three times. The Mongolian Beef that was ordered is incredibly salty. It is as if they dumped tons of MSG and the Atlantic Ocean into this dish. A total waste of money if you ask me. I know good Chinese takeout is hard to find outside the northeast, but this one is a stinker. read more

Our first time getting takeout here while visiting Lewes Beach. Ordering was simple, portions were generous, prices were reasonable and food was excellent. Even the rice was perfect. Packed well in white containers. No complaints! Reminded us of good northern New Jersey Chinese takeout. We got Egg Foo Young, Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, Egg Drop Soup and Boneless Spare Ribs, for reference. Would most definitely eat here again. read more

Always my go-to chinese takeout in the area! I also love that you can order anything on their menu without MSGs. I usually order the chicken and broccoli combo with plain fried rice and that comes with an egg roll. I have tried the pork dumplings fried and steamed and they are great either way! I also will frequently order the chicken lo mein. Always made to order and super fresh food! Really never have any complaints from this place :) Give it a try!! read more

I've been back several times since my last review, Hing Wang now rates 5 stars. They have cut way back on the salt and all the food items are awesome. I still think they are the best in Sussex county nothing is ever mushy or under cooked. Their Egg rolls, fried dumplings, beef stick and other apps are on point. Great job people!! read more

The beef in the moo shu beef was so tough. I wasted my money. The chicken and broccoli was terrible too. I spent $32 And tge only things that were good were the vegetable rolls and tge egg drop soup. The best Chinese food in the area. Huge selection of dishes. We usually get hot and sour soup. Lots of veggies to choose from. We usually get chicken or shrimp with snow peas or broccoli. One of those is plenty for two people with leftovers. We are very picky about rice and theirs is pretty good.Lots of spicy choices as well. read more

Our favorite Chinese (Cantonese) take-out place. The lady owner is so pleasant and efficient. Their cooking is the closest to the Cantonese Chinese restaurants that I grew up with ... on the west coast. Their lo mein noodles are the most similar to the "chow mein" noodles that are my comfort food! And we love their mixed veggies, too. I've never had yellow rice with fried rice but kept an open mind. The rice was under cooked (so hard) and the chicken was mushy. Disappointing experience today at Hing Wang. Got home after picking up my order (take out is only option). I was missing the Pork Fried Rice, instead received white Rice. Called to let them know, thinking they would make a note and I could get it added to my next order. Owner argued with me and said, "I'm pretty sure I put it in your bag". We have been ordering from here for almost 10 years. The food is fresh with healthy size portions. Tried the General Tso's Shrimp this time for something different . It was delicious, and the shrimp were huge. The Moo Shu Pork was excellent too. Every dish we try is wonderful. The food never disappoints, and is some of the best around. read more

By the look of this place, I was very skeptical. It looked like one of the places you see in the hood and you're not sure if you should go in. The food was delicious though. We got a crap ton of food to share once arriving to the beach. It was all fresh and delicious. We got sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, fried rice (it's yellow rice base, but still good), egg rolls, friend dumplings and lo mein noodles. the fried rice had turmeric a little chicken big chunks of onion and a few scallions. the fried rice needs to be prepare at the moment and it looks like it's been in a hot box or a rice cooker for a while. read more
