Food is always consistent and they are willing to make customizations based on preferences. We always enjoy the tofu dishes, as many other establishments do not offer tofu. They prepare it fried or steamed and are always happy to put the sauce of choice on the side for us. My review is only regarding the Singapore noodles(chicken). I get it everywhere I go. This place kills it!!! They use the common rectangular flat-ish Tupperware and it's completely filled. The lady who took my takeout order wasn't too friendly (same alsowith phone orders also that I heard while waiting for my food), but maybe the food will make up for it? First time trying this restaurant. Ordered online take out tonight and did not get what I ordered, Triple Crown with hot garlic sauce and rice. The dish is supposed to be spicy but it was sweet with no spice and not garlicky at all. Not sure what I actually got but it wasn't that. I also did not receive the white rice that I ordered. I did get the egg rolls and hot and sour soup that I ordered but the soup was neither hot nor sour. We love this place! No language barrier, always fast and hot! If you order the diet chicken and veggies or Moo Goo Gai Pan, consistently full portions of meat, not 2 or 3 pieces smothered in veggies! BEST boneless ribs in town! Lots of the other places seem to use ribs with a lot of fat and tough, inedible pieces, theirs are always meaty with smaller pieces of the fat. I will start with my only down side, delivery takes forever and they never include chopsticks! Now that we are past that let's move into what makes this place my favorite Chinese restaurant! Tonight I ordered the steam dumplings and chicken and broccoli combo. Their steam dumplings are just simply amazing, the filling is so good and the dumpling itself it's good and chewy. I find it to be a perfect balance. The chicken and broccoli (or beef and broccoli) are always a generous portion of protein. The sauce is rich and delicious! The broccoli is always tender and balanced with the sauce. As for the other items I have had. If I don't order steamed dumplings they I order a small lo mein, let me tell you. This stuff is addictive! The pork lo mein is hands down THE BEST in town!!!!!! If you get a chance, order it! Their orange chicken is pretty good and their generals chicken is really good also. It's your typical Chinese delivery, they have never gotten my order wrong and are always here within the time period they gave me. So kudos for consistency and delivery. My husband loves their egg rolls and I am obsessed with their crab Rangoon. It's sweet yet savory and always full of filling. No skimpy crap around here ha! Ordered take from here last weekend. They were able to get the food ready super quick which is always a plus. We did the Sunday special which is two combo meals for a discount. The bourbon chicken we got was kind of dry. The seasame chicken mentions it's spicy in the window but it's not bad at all. The egg rolls were good. The crab ragoons were amazing. Excellent!! This is the only Chinese/Cantonese place we order from. We have tried several others on the southside, but China Dragon is far and above the best. We usually order the combo meals...chicken broccoli/beef broccoli/general tso chicken...all GREAT! Really great portions for the price. The fried rice and lo mein are soooo good. The chicken broccoli and lo mein are still good, and we tried the crab rangoon, a few egg rolls and the General Tso chicken recently too. Ten scale rating : Chicken broccoli - 9 - it's just a bit greasy Veggie Lo Mein - 8 - they load you up with noodles galore and veggies but it can tend to be on the oily side too General Tso's - 9 - nice and spicy Egg rolls - 5 - too much cabbage, but that's how many restaurants serve them Crab Rangoon - 8 - light and tasty. Great blend of cream cheese and crab Fried shrimp - 5 - the breading was tasty, but the shrimp was a bit rubbery and tough in texture. Dumplings - 6 - the filing was decent, but we should have ordered them fried after they were steamed, as the the outer part was very pasty/gummy tasting, thick and heavy in texture. I think they make them in house. I wish they had spring rolls, because I always prefer them to the standard and average super cabbage-y egg roll. It's OK. I really can't fault them for that. I have figured out what I prefer and like now. If I venture off the beaten path again, I will try a rice noodle dish. They have currently become my official take out oriental food place. read more

I have only eaten here twice and have gotten the same thing (Szechuan chicken and crab Rangoon) but I love it and will be ordering quite frequently. Its a decent take out place pretty run of the mill Americanized Chinese but not in a disappointing way. Its not spectacular or anything but somewhat solid and reliable. I like the fried scallops and my wife likes the garlic chicken. Ive definitely had worse take out so if you want some basic take out Chinese this place is decent. read more

So finally enough of my rant..food review..we ordered buffalo chicken wings and Bean curd Szechuan style.. I don't think we got what we ordered..my Bean curd ..I am pretty sure was barbecue and so were the wings..so taking one star off for getting the order wrong. Having said that we didn't complain and decided to have what we got..Trust me it looked so good that didn't feel like sending it back. The consistency and the flavor that my Bean curd had..and the veggies that came with it..they didn't just have broccoli in there..there was crunchy bok choi carrots and a whole lot more.. absolutely loved the flavor.. Moving on to chicken wings..really sweet..good crispy..with a hint of cinnamon..my friend said that it was decent..I will take his word for it. All is good..Food was delivered in roughly 20 mins. The only reason this place gets 1 star is because the food is decent (when you can get it). It took me an hour to figure out how to order delivery from here because they dont have a website and their phone number gives a busy tone everytime you call (I called 14 times over the course of an hour) The only way to actually order delivery is through GrubHub because the store phone number doesn't work. And GrubHub will happily deliver your China Dragon order for an $8 "special fee", a $4 delivery fee, and a mandatory 10% tip for the driver. So you are essentially paying $20 in fees to deliver $20 worth of food, and you have to order this way because the store phone doesn't work. I finally just drove to the store and ordered at the counter. The cashier was obviously flustered and very abrupt with me since he was 1 of 4 people running this entire operation. However, 20 minutes later I got my food and the overall time starting from when I first searched "Chinese delivery" on my phone to the point that i got my food clocked in at 2 hours. There is no shortage of Chinese places that have great food and are much more put together and professional than China Dragon. I would suggest going to those places over China Dragon read more

This is a hidden gem on the far south side! It's not the most highly decorated Chinese restaurant I've been to but the food is by far the best I've had in this area!! I had the Crab Rangoon appetizer - amazing is all I can say about that!! Then I chose the Sweet & sour chicken combination dinner and it was fantastic! I asked for vegetable fried rice instead of the typical fried rice and it was great!! They have a great Sunday combo special and the people were very friendly, which made for a great overall experience!
