Beef with Broccoli - Tasty but huge pieces (tough to cut with plasticware)
    Ken N.

This small Chinese restaurant has low prices and quick service. Their small shop is in a strip mall just south of Main St on SR 135 in Greenwood. What I liked: Convenient parking, quick service, and low prices. The crab rangoon was crisp and had a fair amount of crabmeat inside. The sweet dipping sauce was tasty without making the rangoon loose its crunch. The Beef with Broccoli had a nice flavor. The beef was tender. What I didn't care for: Their is an $8 minimum purchase to use a credit card. Not bad, just awkward to find something to add since I was low on cash. Their plastic ware is flimsy and made cutting the hot, but barely tenderized broccoli difficult. I couldn't spear it through the stalk with the fork. I ended up stabbing the crowns of the stems. Problem: I got an order of egg drop soup. It was generously sized and served piping hot! However, the flavor was generally bland, even for egg drop soup. And there was a trace of soap/chemical in the soup. I would have mentioned it to the staff, but since I paid at the time I ordered, I didn't see anyone after they brought my food out. No follow up on their part and no opportunity for me to call attention to it. Rev #395

broccoli and rice in a styrofoam container

I have ordered delivery 2x in the past week and both times the food arrived hot and delicious in under 18 minutes!!! You can not beat that delivery time! The chicken with broccoli and crab rangoons have both been very good. I do prefer their white rice over the traditional fried rice that comes with the chicken broccoli. Writing this review is making me hungry and knowing I can have lunch within 20 minutes with a dial of the phone is very very tempting...

The food is always very good and the owner always gives us something extra like a quart of soup.

Honestly not bad. But again, it's American Chinese. Too much soy sauce, a bit salty. Portion is generous.

I ordered my sandwich and got it without incident.....Until....... The cup of soup I ordered they didn't have enough of, so the guy said he needed to get more. I said I would wait with no problem. Seconds later he bought me out soup that I swear he added water to! It was broccoli and cheddar water! There was zero flavor and crackers didn't thicken it up! The sandwich was good. The manager did correct the issue, but overall, not a great first impression.

It's very cool on the inside with vintage and Indiana-themed decor, tin ceilings, and, of course, a potbelly stove. The staff were friendly. But brother and I were very confused about the ordering process. There wasn't a lot of directional signage showing where to start and each step of the process. I watched a few other customers go through and they didn't seem like they had a problem so maybe it was just us. Next time I would probably just order online and pick it up so I could avoid the in-person ordering process altogether. I had the turkey sandwich and it was pretty good. I would say definitely a step up from your typical sub sandwich chain in terms of flavor and toppings options. I tried the chili mac as well. The chili is definitely à la Wendy's but I enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was good as well. I'd probably get either on its own but not together again. I also tried the Potbelly/Zapp's collab chips, the Hot Pepper flavor. They were good but are definitely not for everyone. When I visited, most of their fountain soda options were out of order so I settled on a no sugar added Pineapple Passionfruit juice/soda which was actually pretty good. We'll definitely be back - especially to try out their milkshakes!

I actually wasn't sure if it was open since there were no cars in the parking lot, but when I pulled up to the drive-thru, someone took my order right away. I think she may have been the only person working since she was preparing all the food and working the register. Even so, she was friendly and I still got my order quickly. Big props to her because I would not be so chill on my own. I took a quick peek at the menu online to check nutrition, but the actual breakfast menu at the drive-up seemed much smaller. There was still a good variety of options though. I ended up ordering the extreme sausage jack which comes with two sausage patties, two slices of cheese and a fried egg on a plain bun. They do have croissant sandwich options as well. The combo meal came with a hashbrown on the side. I'm very particular about hashbrowns, I like them extra crispy. This one was only medium crispy but still had a good flavor. The sandwich was actually better than I was expecting. The sausage has a little more spice than the average fast food breakfast sausage and I prefer the fried egg over the folded scrambled kind. I also loved that they had iced black coffee as an option. I have to watch my carbs so as much as I do want that super sweet vanilla option, black coffee is what I usually order. I'm sure I will be back!

The staff is always polite and doesn't usually take very long to get the order together. The food is fast food quality, but not bad. I love their jalapeno poppers. One of my personal opinions is that the mark of quality and attention to detail in any restaurant that moves large volumes of food is cleanliness - and the salad bar was pristine! From the charcuterie to the fresh vegetables, everything looked fresh and delicious. The fact that there was not one speck of food or debris littering the floor or the areas surrounding the bowls was clear indication that someone was monitoring that area with meticulous detail. The meat options brought to our table were diverse, well prepared, and brought to the table slightly faster than we could eat them! We never found ourselves waiting for anything as the service was incredibly attentive. A very nice and much appreciated personal touch was added by a couple of check in visits during dinner from Gabriel, the sales manager and Sebastian, the general manager - both of whom showed genuine interest in how our experience was. Add to this outstanding service from our server, Jessica. We learned that this is a family owned and operated restaurant which explains the pride that was clearly apparent in every aspect of this dining experience. It's not often we eat such large volumes of food - but as soon as we're ready for another truly indulgent dining experience, we will be going back to Ten Cuts - even over some of the more popular and well known Brazilian steakhouses!
