My total was only $14, and they gave me so much food! Very affordable. The egg roll is the biggest one I've ever seen. First time ordering from Wang Cai! Fantastic experience straight from the beginning. I called and was met with pleasant and kind voices, patient with me as I asked a few questions about menu items. It was amazing they offered delivery. And no, not through door dash, actual delivery. The food arrived by the time they quoted and still fresh and warm. I have avoided ordering Moo shu dishes for years because no local places seem to get it right. But theirs was just as I remembered moo shu from so many years ago, excellent flavor and the perfect pancakes. We've been enjoying everything we get from Wang Cai for well over 10 years now. The owners are friendly and always greet us when we come in to pick up our food. Their portions are very generous. If we want something with spice (or without), they're always happy to do that for us. My husband has been getting their wonton soup lately and it's packed with wontons. I was enjoying my food and I specifically found a piece of aluminum in my rice from the aluminum scratch pad that is normally used to clean dishes in restaurants. Which is not only dangerous, but also tells me they don't really clean/rinse off their dishes that well. This place has poor business, we ordered today on Christmas which I'm sure is a busy night for them but when we placed an order they told my wife it'd be an hour. Wang Cai makes delicious food at a good value. I called up an hour before they closed and picked up my food about 30 minutes before it closed. Even with a late call for takeout food, Wang Cai delivered hot, fresh, and tasty food. Customer service on the phone was pleasant. When I picked up my food they had all of the Covid-19 precautions taken with face masks required and a plexiglass barrier. The service is so pleasant. They threw in free almond cookies with the entrees ordered. I'm very pleased with Wang Cai and will definitely order from them again when I'm back in Greenwood, IN. We ordered the General Yao's chicken, Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, Tofu Vegetables, and Hunan Beef. This small Chinese restaurant has low prices and quick service. Their small shop is in a strip mall just south of Main St on SR 135 in Greenwood. What I liked: Convenient parking, quick service, and low prices. The crab rangoon was crisp and had a fair amount of crabmeat inside. The sweet dipping sauce was tasty without making the rangoon loose its crunch. The Beef with Broccoli had a nice flavor. The beef was tender. What I didn't care for: Their is an $8 minimum purchase to use a credit card. Not bad, just awkward to find something to add since I was low on cash. Their plastic ware is flimsy and made cutting the hot, but barely tenderized broccoli difficult. I couldn't spear it through the stalk with the fork. I ended up stabbing the crowns of the stems. Problem: I got an order of egg drop soup. It was generously sized and served piping hot! However, the flavor was generally bland, even for egg drop soup. And there was a trace of soap/chemical in the soup. I would have mentioned it to the staff, but since I paid at the time I ordered, I didn't see anyone after they brought my food out. The chicken with broccoli and crab rangoons have both been very good. I do prefer their white rice over the traditional fried rice that comes with the chicken broccoli. On Wednesday nights my daughter and I usually get to have dinner together, just the two of us. We both like Chinese and the other two members of our family aren't big fans, so we've been trying a couple of different places. This past week we stopped into Wang Cai. My daughter has a gluten allergy so sometimes it's hard to pick a main entree with chicken that's not breaded, so frequently she'll end up getting chicken fried rice. She was particularly pleased with the rice here. Good taste and a good amount of chicken included. I decided to go with the Moo Shu Pork. I'm shocked, but I don't think I've ever actually had this dish before. It was served complete with the filling, about 5-6 flour wrappers and a delicious hoisin(??) dipping sauce. It was so much food I didn't finish it Wednesday night and just finished the leftovers and it was still delicious. I also noted what they called "Szechuan Wontons" as an appetizer on the menu. Wasn't sure what they were, but knew I liked wontons and also Szechuan so I gave them a try. There were 10 in the order and it was only $3 or so. Turns out they're your basic wontons you'd have in wonton soup, but instead of soup they were in a thick, somewhat spicy szechuan sauce. They were very good and could have been a meal all to themselves. I had a few leftover of those today as well. All in all great food, great prices and we'll definitely be back. read more

Plus, they deliver! I've tried several different entrees and have been impressed with almost everything I've tried. Wang Cai is the go to for Chinese at my house! We always call in our order and it's ready to be picked up in about 15 minutes. The food is delicious. We usually get the General Tso's, orange chicken, or sesame seed chicken. Their chicken is crispier than some other places that we have had and we love it. We aren't a huge fan of the fried rice so we always sub it out with the white rice which is soo much better. I love that they also include an egg roll with each meal. I had seen this place from 135 many times and after reading all the positive Yelp reviews, I had to try this place. I'm really happy I did. I love mom and pop restaurants like this and this one exceeded all expectations! The food was DELICIOUS! The lunch menu is a great value. I had General Tso's chicken, fried rice and drink for about $5.00. They don't skimp on portions either. My wife ordered some crab rangoon...it too was delicious. The interior is well kept and clean, but really quaint. There's only 5 tables in the entire restaurant, but we still had no problem finding a seat. The lady working the front counter didn't speak English very well, but no big deal there. I just pointed to the menu on the counter to foster the communication. I have to give them 1 star for the Crab Rangoon I got last night. Normally really good when they are made fresh. You'll know if they come up to the little refrigerator by the register they are getting some of those. I was suspicious last night when they stayed in the back, and mysteriously an open sack of Crab Rangoon was passed over to me. Needless to say they were horrible. Burned to a crisp, terribly crunchy, and the filling almost not there at all, oh, and very greasy tasting. This is the only thing a usually get there that I enjoy - the chicken dishes all seem very tough in generally an all around disappointment. This is sad, since the Crab Rangoon is really good when it's good (if that makes any sense), but after this experience, I plan to just stay away or a while. read more

We say we will wait another 15 minutes if not there and if not there then we will come pick up. Called again in after that 15 min. Asked for food to be remade and we would pickup. Mysteriously the driver/owner they couldn't get a hold of showed with our food to the store the same time we did. The owners wife wanted us to take the old food that had been in the delivery van for over an hour. They the told us we could have the old food for $5 off or wait an hour for them to make fresh. The woman who answered the phone was easy to understand, and the delivery guy was courteous, and very friendly to our dog who wiggled out to greet him. I'm not super picky about carry out Chinese, it's deep fried salt with rice basically, can't mess it up. Well Wang Cai really messed it up. It was so bad I just threw it away. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the staff was nice. But the food was so disgusting, I can't even explain it. The rice was white rice they deep fried in soy sauce I think, the egg roll was full of only raw cabbage and the meat had no meat, just breading. Maybe it was because I got fried rice and general Tso's and their other stuff is better. Unfortunately I will not be back to give them a second chance. read more

Fantastic Dishes all around! We order same items to create our own buffet at home and we are never disappointed. The Mongolian beef was very very heavy on the onions and not as heavy on the beef but we could easily corrected next time by asking for light onion.
