First time ordering from Wang Cai! Fantastic experience straight from the beginning. I called and was met with pleasant and kind voices, patient with me as I asked a few questions about menu items. It was amazing they offered delivery. And no, not through door dash, actual delivery. The food arrived by the time they quoted and still fresh and warm. I have avoided ordering Moo shu dishes for years because no local places seem to get it right. But theirs was just as I remembered moo shu from so many years ago, excellent flavor and the perfect pancakes. My husbands absolute favorite of the items we had tonight was the Boneless BBQ spare rips.. he said those alone have gained him as a customer. Highly recommend! read more

Food is always hot and tasty when it arrives. Never had an issue. Driver is always friendly and quick.

AMAZING!! I never write reviews but this place was so good I had to. I got the sweet and sour soup combo which comes with fried rice and an egg roll, then I added on hot and sour soup. My total was only $14, and they gave me so much food! Very affordable. The egg roll is the biggest one I've ever seen. Everything was so hot and fresh and was prepared in maybe 15 minutes, it was ready when I arrived. I will definitely be back! My new favorite Chinese spot! read more

I have ordered food many times from Wang Cai and every time it has been hot and tasty! This small place is run by a husband and wife team. They offer delivery if your order is $15 or more. They have tables inside so you can eat there or just wait for your food to be ready. I love Wang Cai and I will continue to order food from them as long as I live! read more

We have come here a few times and I can tell you you can order the exact same things here somewhere else and it will not taste the same. For some reason the food from this place tastes like they pour their heart and soul into it and it is always hot and fresh, and it is run by the sweetest family. I will never not recommend this place. It's perfection! Thank you to the family for the great food and your kindness as well! read more

Wang Cai - Beef chow mein - Chinese Near Me - Greenwood, Indiana

The food is always very good and the owner always gives us something extra like a quart of soup.

We've been enjoying everything we get from Wang Cai for well over 10 years now. The owners are friendly and always greet us when we come in to pick up our food. Their portions are very generous. If we want something with spice (or without), they're always happy to do that for us. My husband has been getting their wonton soup lately and it's packed with wontons. I still get the hot and sour soup...so delicious. read more

I was enjoying my food and I specifically found a piece of aluminum in my rice from the aluminum scratch pad that is normally used to clean dishes in restaurants. Which is not only dangerous, but also tells me they don't really clean/rinse off their dishes that well. Maybe it was just that one day, but this also wasn't the first time I've had an issue with this restaurant. probably won't be going back unfortunately. read more

This place has poor business, we ordered today on Christmas which I'm sure is a busy night for them but when we placed an order they told my wife it'd be an hour. So my wife left to go pick it up after we waited all that time just to get to the restaurant to find out they told her it'd be another hour till it's done?!?!?! Screw this restaurant, such POOR BUSINESS. This crappy restaurant is and always will be off our list of somewhere to eat. Learn how to run a business. read more

Wang Cai makes delicious food at a good value. I called up an hour before they closed and picked up my food about 30 minutes before it closed. Even with a late call for takeout food, Wang Cai delivered hot, fresh, and tasty food. Customer service on the phone was pleasant. When I picked up my food they had all of the Covid-19 precautions taken with face masks required and a plexiglass barrier. The service is so pleasant. They threw in free almond cookies with the entrees ordered. I'm very pleased with Wang Cai and will definitely order from them again when I'm back in Greenwood, IN. We ordered the General Yao's chicken, Crab Rangoon, Sesame Chicken, Tofu Vegetables, and Hunan Beef. The spring rolls with the combo are extra hearty, so be prepared to feel full off of the combination plate with entree. read more

This small Chinese restaurant has low prices and quick service. Their small shop is in a strip mall just south of Main St on SR 135 in Greenwood. What I liked: Convenient parking, quick service, and low prices. The crab rangoon was crisp and had a fair amount of crabmeat inside. The sweet dipping sauce was tasty without making the rangoon loose its crunch. The Beef with Broccoli had a nice flavor. The beef was tender. What I didn't care for: Their is an $8 minimum purchase to use a credit card. Not bad, just awkward to find something to add since I was low on cash. Their plastic ware is flimsy and made cutting the hot, but barely tenderized broccoli difficult. I couldn't spear it through the stalk with the fork. I ended up stabbing the crowns of the stems. Problem: I got an order of egg drop soup. It was generously sized and served piping hot! However, the flavor was generally bland, even for egg drop soup. And there was a trace of soap/chemical in the soup. I would have mentioned it to the staff, but since I paid at the time I ordered, I didn't see anyone after they brought my food out. No follow up on their part and no opportunity for me to call attention to it. Rev #395 read more

We have carry out frequently and the food is always good and it's hot. Highly recommend Wang Cai.

The crab Rangoon are bigger than most but not great flavor. Also got egg rolls from here and they were totally with out flavor. Would not recommend wang cai. read more

I have ordered delivery 2x in the past week and both times the food arrived hot and delicious in under 18 minutes!!! You can not beat that delivery time! The chicken with broccoli and crab rangoons have both been very good. I do prefer their white rice over the traditional fried rice that comes with the chicken broccoli. Writing this review is making me hungry and knowing I can have lunch within 20 minutes with a dial of the phone is very very tempting... read more

Worst Chinese Food My husband and I, who both enjoy Chinese food, recently moved to Greenwood and placed an online order on Saturday evening for free delivery. We ordered a variety of our favorite items and enough food for about 3 meals. I'm so sorry to report that every single item we ate was not just inferior, but actually the worst Chinese food either one of us has ever eaten. This was our first and last meal from Wang Cai. read more

Cool little spot. Dine in, delivery or take out. Love the lo mein and General Taos chicken. Wow they're open every day

Panda Express tastes better. Fried rice isn't even cooked fully. Too salty and greasy. Don't recommended it whatsoever. read more

Wang Cai - a bowl of food on a table - Chinese Near Me - Greenwood, Indiana

On Wednesday nights my daughter and I usually get to have dinner together, just the two of us. We both like Chinese and the other two members of our family aren't big fans, so we've been trying a couple of different places. This past week we stopped into Wang Cai. My daughter has a gluten allergy so sometimes it's hard to pick a main entree with chicken that's not breaded, so frequently she'll end up getting chicken fried rice. She was particularly pleased with the rice here. Good taste and a good amount of chicken included. I decided to go with the Moo Shu Pork. I'm shocked, but I don't think I've ever actually had this dish before. It was served complete with the filling, about 5-6 flour wrappers and a delicious hoisin(??) dipping sauce. It was so much food I didn't finish it Wednesday night and just finished the leftovers and it was still delicious. I also noted what they called "Szechuan Wontons" as an appetizer on the menu. Wasn't sure what they were, but knew I liked wontons and also Szechuan so I gave them a try. There were 10 in the order and it was only $3 or so. Turns out they're your basic wontons you'd have in wonton soup, but instead of soup they were in a thick, somewhat spicy szechuan sauce. They were very good and could have been a meal all to themselves. I had a few leftover of those today as well. All in all great food, great prices and we'll definitely be back. read more

If you love Crab Rangoon, you must try Wang Cai's! It is unique, delicious, and each order comes with 6-8 huge pieces. They are not a "traditional" crab rangoon, but they are very delicious. Wang Cai is a great local Chinese delivery in Greenwood. You can't beat the delivery times -- I don't think we've ever waited longer than 15-20 minutes! read more

When we moved here, to the opposite side of Greenwood from where we were, I had to find a new go to Chinese place. The food is always fresh and delicious. The schezuan wontons are awesome. Plus, they deliver! I've tried several different entrees and have been impressed with almost everything I've tried. The only slight disappointment was the hot n sour soup, but the amazing wontons definitely make up for that. read more

I had seen this place from 135 many times and after reading all the positive Yelp reviews, I had to try this place. I'm really happy I did. I love mom and pop restaurants like this and this one exceeded all expectations! The food was DELICIOUS! The lunch menu is a great value. I had General Tso's chicken, fried rice and drink for about $5.00. They don't skimp on portions either. My wife ordered some crab rangoon...it too was delicious. The interior is well kept and clean, but really quaint. There's only 5 tables in the entire restaurant, but we still had no problem finding a seat. The lady working the front counter didn't speak English very well, but no big deal there. I just pointed to the menu on the counter to foster the communication. I'm already excited about going back here again soon. I highly recommend. read more

Wang Cai is the go to for Chinese at my house! We always call in our order and it's ready to be picked up in about 15 minutes. The food is delicious. We usually get the General Tso's, orange chicken, or sesame seed chicken. Their chicken is crispier than some other places that we have had and we love it. We aren't a huge fan of the fried rice so we always sub it out with the white rice which is soo much better. I love that they also include an egg roll with each meal. Their dinner sizes are usually enough to feel like I over-ate and still have some leftovers! Our order is always right -- we are definitely happy with Wang Cai! read more

This isn't mind blowing food but you know what you're getting when you order from here. The food is quick, the lunch specials are very inexpensive and the portions are huge. The level of service you get from the delivery is very hit or miss with more leaning towards the miss but a call in pickup order is usually ready in 10-15 minutes even for a party of 5. read more

I have to give them 1 star for the Crab Rangoon I got last night. Normally really good when they are made fresh. You'll know if they come up to the little refrigerator by the register they are getting some of those. I was suspicious last night when they stayed in the back, and mysteriously an open sack of Crab Rangoon was passed over to me. Needless to say they were horrible. Burned to a crisp, terribly crunchy, and the filling almost not there at all, oh, and very greasy tasting. This is the only thing a usually get there that I enjoy - the chicken dishes all seem very tough in generally an all around disappointment. This is sad, since the Crab Rangoon is really good when it's good (if that makes any sense), but after this experience, I plan to just stay away or a while. read more

The food was ok, typical take out Chinese food. I would eat here again, only because its super close to my house. I got the chicken with garlic sauce. It had a little spice to it and the sauce was very sweet. The portion was a nice size. I had plenty left over. I also ordered a spring roll, it was about the size of an egg roll. Not the best spring roll I've had read more

This place is absolutely disgusting! Veggies in my meal tasted rotten. Soup was obviously leftover and watered down. The owner was very rude when I spoke to him. Not willing to fix the problem at all. Will never eat here again. Inside of restaurant was dirty. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. read more

Love the food here.we have never ever got oily bad food from here.it has always been great.

Ordered some delivery from here. They stated 1hour delivery time. At and hour and 20 we call to check. They was surprised it wasn't delivered yet. They stated the owner was delivering. Asked us to call back if he wasn't there in another 20 minutes. Called back 20 minutes later. Now we have concerts for driver. We say we will wait another 15 minutes if not there and if not there then we will come pick up. Called again in after that 15 min. Asked for food to be remade and we would pickup. Mysteriously the driver/owner they couldn't get a hold of showed with our food to the store the same time we did. The owners wife wanted us to take the old food that had been in the delivery van for over an hour. They the told us we could have the old food for $5 off or wait an hour for them to make fresh. We got a refund instead. (Paid CC when ordering). read more

Ordered $45 worth of delivery, and our family had three days worth of food. The woman who answered the phone was easy to understand, and the delivery guy was courteous, and very friendly to our dog who wiggled out to greet him. My only complaint is that the fried stuff was a little greasy. Well. It's fried, so there. The Rangoons could have had a little more stuffing too. I ordered a special broccoli chicken (which comes with shrimp) A lo mein with no veggies A combination orange chicken A small and large order of steamed rice, Rangoons, and two spring rolls As a bonus for having such a large order, they gave me a large egg drop soup and an egg roll. Everything was still hot when it arrived to our door and very delicious. Highly recommended! read more

I'm not super picky about carry out Chinese, it's deep fried salt with rice basically, can't mess it up. Well Wang Cai really messed it up. It was so bad I just threw it away. The only reason I gave 2 stars is the staff was nice. But the food was so disgusting, I can't even explain it. The rice was white rice they deep fried in soy sauce I think, the egg roll was full of only raw cabbage and the meat had no meat, just breading. Maybe it was because I got fried rice and general Tso's and their other stuff is better. Unfortunately I will not be back to give them a second chance. read more

Honestly not bad. But again, it's American Chinese. Too much soy sauce, a bit salty. Portion is generous.

I love Chinese food. Wang Cai has never let me down. The food is fresh and has never let me down. I usually come in and pick it up but they do have some tables and chairs for eat in. When I am being really lazy or busy as I would call it they are kind enough to deliver to my house. read more
