Would it feel too industrial or impersonal? All doubts were put to rest the moment I walked in. I stopped in with friends before a movie at the Village Pointe theatre, and immediately, the atmosphere stood out: bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed. There's a great mix of tables, booths, and a spacious patio area that I can already tell will be the go-to spot on sunny days or during Village Pointe concerts. There's even a faux tree in the center of the space--a fun design choice that gave the place an elevated feel. My friend was already seated, enjoying the complimentary unleavened bread, and wow--that bread was fire. Chewy, warm, and perfect when dipped into the seasoned oil. Such a great start to the meal. I ordered at the counter (they have both digital screens and printed menus, which is helpful), and went with the Meddy's Main Plate with lamb, roasted vegetables, and garlicky potatoes. Highly recommend this combo. The lamb was shockingly tender--hands down the best I've had at a Mediterranean restaurant in the area. It came served over one of their signature dips, and the flavor combo was unreal. The roasted veggies were nicely done--al dente and flavorful. But the star? The garlicky potatoes. Crispy little cubes loaded with garlic, and even better when mixed with the lamb and sauce. Every bite was a flavor parade. Our table shared a few other items: hummus, fries, mushroom soup, chicken shawarma, and the rice ball. The fries were tasty but a bit soggy, and the shawarma was just okay--maybe a bit underwhelming compared to the Main Plate. But the mushroom soup? Phenomenal. I'll be back just to get a bowl for myself. The chicken protein was also really solid--definitely something I want to try next time instead of lamb (just to mix it up). As for the service--exceptional. The counter staff were kind, welcoming, and helpful. Once seated, the table service felt more like a full-service restaurant. Drinks were never half-empty, plates were cleared quickly, and multiple staff members checked in to see how everything was. It was a well-oiled machine. Even during peak hours, the place was buzzing--around 95% full. You love to see that kind of energy at a new restaurant. All in all, this place is a huge win. The malatang was fine and plentiful, but I didn't find the broth to have a lot of flavor. Of note, even though it doesn't state on the menu, our waitress told us we could ask for almost any dish to be made spicier. For dessert they only had one option available which was the lime jelly. The jelly itself tasted plain but was in a bowl of a lime flavored juice or syrup that gave it the flavor. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet and was actually rather light and refreshing. Overall this was a good experience and I want to come back for more of the mixed vegetables and to try the dry mix malatang because that might be more my speed than the soup!

The table orders 2 different apps. The rest of the 6 top gets there 7:50. They order apps at 7:55 along with their drinks. 8:05 we all order our meals. 8:15 all of our apps come out at once. Even the original orders that were put in 12-15 minutes before the 2nd orders of apps were put in. And from 8:15 until 8:50 we don't see or hear an update on our food. We all ordered 12 wings and one person ordered a pizza. 3 orderes of fries. And a basket of chips. First thing out is the pizza at 8:50. Then a single basket of fries and basket of chips 8:55. Then a half of one persons wing order, then a random basket of fries at 8:58. The other half order of wings at 9 and by 9:05 the rest of the food was there. Not so much as a sorry it's taking so long. Or a can I get you guys anything? (Except for those who had beer, they kept asking if they wanted more beer) every water refill had to be asked for.
