Steve made sure that at the end of the project, he was there to ensure that the inspection passed without any issues. Daniel came out and was very informative on what needed repairing. He showed the video of the areas of concern that he found so I could understand everything. Their prices were wallet friendly, too. Side note, I had a small tree in the way and tried to trim it the best I could. Daniel brought a chainsaw and took care of it and Mark even took the trimmings to the dump. Their lead techs and installers, Bill and Tory, were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Jessica, my contact person, was always quick to get back to me with any questions I had. Their quoted price was comparable to the lowest prices quoted on residential solar installations per watt or kWh anywhere in the US according to my research online. Gettysburg Solar allowed me to do my own research and choose the exact brand and model of both solar panels and inverters that I wanted. This was after providing me their quote. They put no restrictions on my panel and inverter choices. I went with very well regarded panels and top of the line inverters. This did not affect my quoted price! My inverters (Sunny Boy 6.0) have a unique feature that allows a 110v AC outlet to be wired directly from each inverter. This outlet can be used to power lights, charge phones, run computers, etc during a power outage. In my arrangement, each inverters AC outlet can provide up to 2000 watts of power when the sun is shining and the grid is down. Adding these additional outlets to each inverter (4 total) required quite a bit of additional work and materials. This wasn't something that was included in my original quote either, yet Gettysburg Solar happily installed these additional features at no extra cost. Bill and Tory made several additional trips to my house to make adjustments to the set-up of these outlets and to make sure everything was functioning as intended. These additional trips were all on their own accord, not at my prompting. All of the work performed was top notch and tidy. I've owned my own businesses for over 20 years, and I've hired many contractors for many projects. Only a few have come as close to delivering as positive of an experience that Gettysburg Stove and Solar delivered. At every turn, the entire crew from Gettysburg Solar would go the additional mile to deliver even more than they promised. I contracted this project late in the year 2017. To insure I would be able to apply for the 30% Federal tax credit on solar installations on my 2017 taxes, Gettysburg Solar said they were confident they could have the system installed and ready to go before December 31st, 2017. I was a bit skeptical given the holidays and unpredictable winter weather, but sure enough, the system was up and ready at the end of December. So if you are thinking solar, there has never been a better time and I highly recommend giving Gettysburg Stove and Solar a call.

JKJ was awesome. They were recommended to us by a friend who is a contractor. While in the process…read moreof buying a home, we discovered that some electrical work might need to be done on the house. In order to better inform our negotiation process with the sellers, we asked JKJ to do an estimate on the work. From the time that we got the recommendation from our friend, it took about 48-72 hours for us to call JKJ, get a technician to the house, and receive a complete estimate for the work that needed to be done. Thanks to the incredibly speedy estimate JKJ did for us, we were able to negotiate a decrease in the price of the house. Fast forward two months and we had closed on the house and needed the electrical work to actually be done. We talked to two other electricians and got estimates from them (in the interest of making sure we were getting a good price). One was extremely unprofessional and rude and they would not have been a good company to work with. The second company was unavailable to do the work on our schedule. So we ended up going back to JKJ and hiring them for the work. Within a week and a half of calling them to schedule the work, it had been completed - installed recessed lighting, re-wired some of the kitchen appliances, installed outlets in the kitchen, and did a heavy up on our electrical panel. We were extremely please with how speedy they were. They were also professional, knowledgeable, and extremely easy to work with. When we had questions about what needed to be done or the best way to go about the work, they were always there to provide very satisfactory answers. Their price was minimally higher than the other estimates that we had done, but it was not a significant difference (a few hundred $ on a $6k job). Even when things took a little longer than expected, the cost did not change from the estimate we were given, despite the extra man hours. I would recommend JKJ to everyone I know who needs electrical work done.
