He explained that they were actually weep holes for water to drain from and needed to be there. True to his word, later in the day he followed up with the details he'd promised. While this may seem small, I've had so many flaky contractors give me quotes and not do what they say they're going to that this was very refreshing. I was also impressed that he had chimney-sweep coloring books for the kids when he gave us the estimate. The estimate was very reasonable in price, and Richard was very responsive as I communicated with him about the project as we were deciding whether or not to have him do the work. When he came and did the work, he was very professional in all our interactions.
