I needed a totally new patio. Patrick and his men did an excellent job. they got it done in three days and did a beautiful job. Totally pleased with my experience

This is a good honest company. They work real hard to do an exception job. They do what they say they are going to do. I had them installed two retaining walls and a patio. I am real happy with how it turned out. Totally mechanical professional work. I recommend them for any work you may have. They used quality materials and quality workers. The work they did for me is Reasonable price I will have them do additional work in the future

Great job fixing our brick steps and repairing our 100 year old brick front yard. Really paid attention to detail. Replaced damaged bricks with ones from the same period, which was terrific! We did not want to lose that history.

Patrick, Miles and the whole crew do absolutely top notch work for a very fair price. Patrick the master Masonary: The man (Patrick) is a quality master Masonary. He does the job the right way and was on site everyday during my project. The work: Convert a worn concrete pad into a beautiful paved driveway for a DC row house. He demolished and rebuilt along with installation of a fence. Result: Superb quality work that was completed in about 4 days. He had several guys on the job and it went fast. Bottom line: He's honest, he's quality. I would definitely use Patrick and his crew again. I'd like to redo steps and walk way in the near future.

    Finished patio.

Patrick and Myles are excellent and transformed by back patio from dirt to a back yard I actually want to spend time in. They leveled the yard, buried the French drains, and laid a beautiful herringbone pattern brick patio. They used sand, not concrete, between the bricks. And left areas for you plants along the border. They were fast - and while there were some communication issues (get the contract, pay dates and deposit value in advance!) the end product is beautiful. Great staff and big hearted owners.

We bought a century-old rowhome in D.C. and didn't realize we also inherited a family of squirrels that ferociously dug into our front porch beam. We've gotten several quotes in the past two years where roofers and siding companies chalked it up as "this is going to cost you a lot of money and it's just not worth it." We finally decided to prioritize fixing this problem and got three quotes. I got two other quotes, and one was really expensive (due to different material cost) and the second one was comparatively the same. I trusted David's expertise because he was referred by my friend who highly recommended him (David fixed my friend's leaky roof issue nearby); and David didn't give me a run-around answer with the problem I had raised. When I finally decided to start on the project, David's team was ready to go. I wanted David to fix three big areas: 1) trimboard/beam; 2) gutter; and 3) front porch ceiling. David's team took photos throughout the process, identified that the front porch trim board didn't actually have a beam inside, so the squirrels lived in this hollow space filled with mulch and tree branches. They quickly gave me an estimate of the additional cost to add a beam and worked extremely hard to fixing the front porch roof area. They were done within a day and a half. I'm super pleased with David's craftsmanship. David went above and beyond my expectations, fixing a beautiful antique crown moulding that the squirrels chewed up, and making it look like new. I am so relieved to know this problem is now fixed and the squirrels have no way of getting back into the roof. Everything is sealed and properly done. Please protect David at all cost. He is a 10/10.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I originally signed and hired Divine Developments LLC October 3, 2023 and…read morepaid $9,912.87 and signed a contract on January 18, 2024, in good faith. They promised to handle my insurance-covered storm repairs, including permits, supplements, and full coordination with my insurer. I was told not to contact my insurance company -- they'd "handle everything." They never pulled permits. Never did any work. Never refunded me. I asked them to start the work (beginning a few weeks after signing as I had significant damage to my home) or return my money over a dozen times between April and November 2024. I gave them every chance. Instead, they made excuses and then claimed I owed a 20% cancellation fee based on a document (their inflated ECR) they created after the fact, one I never saw nor agreed to at signing. The contract also states: "Your out-of-pocket expenses will not exceed your deductible, and you will be responsible for any non-insurance related costs." I did not request non-covered work. I did not authorize additional services. The contract also states "This agreement relies on approval from your insurance company. It does not bind you or Divine Developments LLC until your insurance company approves and Divine Developments accepts it." John Murphy aka Rich Kim told me "If you want the roof done without addressing the siding and chimney then you have to sign a waiver to address those things or you must get that situated before us moving forward" he claimed they couldn't handle a roof replacement without doing my siding. In past insurance claims, supplements were submitted during construction, not prior. Divine Development's own contract acknowledges that the agreement is contingent upon insurance approval, but they never initiated any work even after partial approval was received. Divine Development's failure to start work cannot be blamed on my insurer. Their misrepresentation of the insurance process was used as an excuse to delay performance while retaining nearly $10,000 of my funds. Throughout our correspondence, Mr. Murphy/Kim insisted that work could not begin until all supplements were approved by State Farm. This is factually and procedurally false. In reality: Contractors regularly begin work based on the initial approved scope; Supplements are routinely submitted during construction as new conditions arise; Their reliance on this excuse to justify months of inaction and deflect from nonperformance was misleading and manipulative. The person I dealt with called himself John Murphy, but I later confirmed through Erie Insurance, legal filings, and his own social media video that he's really Richard Han Kim. He used multiple names, including "Rich Kim" on video, while signing contracts and threatening people as "John Murphy." It was all a front. When I left a factual review to warn others, he threatened me with legal action. That was October 17, 2024. He threatened me again on April 17, 2025. This man took my money, never showed up, and then tried to intimidate me into silence. To this day, they've never done a single bit of work. They never pulled a permit. They never did what they promised and they never gave my money back. I've since found they are named in a $77,000 court judgment in New York for unpaid loans. They're also listed on the D.C. revocation list and used a Regus virtual office to get licensed in Connecticut. And they falsely claimed BBB accreditation in their contract. I've filed complaints with the AG, FTC, DCP (Case #2025-380), and BBB (a second after uncovering more deceit and lies). They also had their license revoked from DLCP. They scammed me, lied to me, ghosted me, and threatened me for speaking out. You've been warned. They are everything wrong with this industry.
