Their lead techs and installers, Bill and Tory, were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Jessica, my contact person, was always quick to get back to me with any questions I had. Their quoted price was comparable to the lowest prices quoted on residential solar installations per watt or kWh anywhere in the US according to my research online. Gettysburg Solar allowed me to do my own research and choose the exact brand and model of both solar panels and inverters that I wanted. This was after providing me their quote. They put no restrictions on my panel and inverter choices. I went with very well regarded panels and top of the line inverters. This did not affect my quoted price! My inverters (Sunny Boy 6.0) have a unique feature that allows a 110v AC outlet to be wired directly from each inverter. This outlet can be used to power lights, charge phones, run computers, etc during a power outage. In my arrangement, each inverters AC outlet can provide up to 2000 watts of power when the sun is shining and the grid is down. Adding these additional outlets to each inverter (4 total) required quite a bit of additional work and materials. This wasn't something that was included in my original quote either, yet Gettysburg Solar happily installed these additional features at no extra cost. Bill and Tory made several additional trips to my house to make adjustments to the set-up of these outlets and to make sure everything was functioning as intended. These additional trips were all on their own accord, not at my prompting. All of the work performed was top notch and tidy. I've owned my own businesses for over 20 years, and I've hired many contractors for many projects. Only a few have come as close to delivering as positive of an experience that Gettysburg Stove and Solar delivered. At every turn, the entire crew from Gettysburg Solar would go the additional mile to deliver even more than they promised. I contracted this project late in the year 2017. To insure I would be able to apply for the 30% Federal tax credit on solar installations on my 2017 taxes, Gettysburg Solar said they were confident they could have the system installed and ready to go before December 31st, 2017. I was a bit skeptical given the holidays and unpredictable winter weather, but sure enough, the system was up and ready at the end of December. So if you are thinking solar, there has never been a better time and I highly recommend giving Gettysburg Stove and Solar a call.

He indicated he was sorry but he simply didn't have the money to pay - which he was fully aware of before we had ever been contacted to assist in the first place. To date, we still have not been compensated by this company. I am writing this review to make others aware of the unprofessional business practices this company has exhibited in our experience, and to prevent other vendors and potential clients from making the mistake of doing business with them.

And, more importantly, very little information concerning chimney condition and integrity of interior lining. Received proposal to Replace chimney Crown, Flashing, power wash and seal bricks. Estimated at a little over $4,000. The Technician that came to my home was polite and professional. I did watch as they worked -- cleaning fireplace, did not see them inspect interior of Chimney. Technician also showed me random photos from internet of Chimney stack (above roof) tops to explain issues with "crown" but did not show me pictures of my chimney. Then he went to truck and returned with tablet (ipad?) to have me sign and pay inspection bill. Said I would receive inspection report and a proposal for recommended work via e-mail. Did receive them. No contemplating recommendation -- proposed work.

The work was still not complete by October and I was then contacted by Anderson's that they needed me to pay for parts up front. Again they were supposed to get back to me in August. I paid their advance bill in October only because I prompted the discussion and waited. On November 7th they came to repair the wood stove but broke the stove door's plate glass and took it to the shop for repair. They promised to return November 14th to install the repaired door. No one showed. When I called the office they blamed the technician. I then talked to the technician. He told me the replacement glass arrived broken and that it would have to be reordered. He said the admin staff should have called to inform me of the new delay. Then I talked to the office manager who said they would have to follow-up with ordering more glass since they hadn't yet done that! In summary, a job that was promised to be completed in August 2024 is still not complete as of November 16, 2024 and the company took my money up front. Mr Anderson, you really need to train your staff concerning ownership of issues! Potential customers, steer clear of this company!

When I brought the stove home and had it installed the problems started. To this date I've replaced every part except for the 2 blowers. When I notice another part needed replaced I confronted the owner and asked him what is he going to do about this stove. I had not had it cleaned in 30 years. When they showed up (on time) he inspected my chimney flue with a mirror and light and informed me that there was no creosote buildup in the chimney at all therefore no cleaning was needed. They could have very easily pretended to clean it and charged me but didn't. He saved me about $180. Thankfully they were honest with me. That type of integrity is rare in the business world today.
