I do not often write reviews, but George from Ahoy Plumbing deserves all the praise! From start to finish, my experience was fantastic. Professionalism and Communication: He was punctual, courteous, and clearly explained everything before starting the work. He answered all my questions patiently and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Fair Pricing and Quality Work: The price was very reasonable, especially considering the excellent quality of work. George clearly takes pride in his work and it shows. Above and Beyond: What impressed me most was that He took the time to walk me through everything he was doing and why. I learned so much! Highly Recommend: I will definitely be calling Ahoy Plumbing for any future plumbing needs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Thank you for the amazing service! read more

This is the 2nd time I used Ahoy. First time he came into our condo a couple of years ago and fixed all my running toilets and changed a bad shower diverter I already bought. This year George and his man changed my 50 gallon hot water heater in a tight space. He rotated the new tank, moved the expansion tank location and piping to make flushing the tank easy. And he moved my dryer carefully sealing the exhaust pipe connections. 2 men got it done same day. Everything is neat and clean. read more

I recently bought a house and needed some immediate plumbing work done. George from Ahoy Plumbing came to the rescue! He fixed both of my bathtubs--one had a broken pipe, and the other had a pipe leaking into the basement. On top of that, he installed a chemical feed system for my well, which was measuring a very low pH. George was incredibly professional, taking the time to thoroughly explain every part of the process. His quotes were significantly lower than other companies I reached out to, which made a big difference. I couldn't be happier with the service and the work he did. Highly recommend Ahoy Plumbing! read more

Water heater needed replacing. George was able to get on it right away and beat everyone else's prices (5 other quotes) by $500 to $950. Pleasant, punctual and professional. Couldn't be happier! read more

We bought a house that needed a LOT of plumbing work the previous owner neglected many repairs and replacements. I called a few plumbers but this one was clearly a standout. George arrived and fixed our biggest problems quickly and well. In 3 follow up visits we had everything fixed well showers, toilets, pipes, sinks, drains, connecting pipes. He showed up on time, communicated well between jobs, had very high skills as did his helper on the only 2 man job. Fantastic work at an affordable price. Thanks so much I have recommended you to others. read more

Like many others, I had a great experience with Ahoy Plumbing. I called George about a slow draining kitchen sink, and he was out the next day, earlier than originally anticipated, and had the whole job wrapped up in about 30 mins at a VERY reasonable price. George is happy to provide extra guidance and advice as well. Definitely will be my "go-to" plumber from now on read more

Hired Ahoy for a water heater replacement. George was on time and was able to give me estimates for the various types of water heaters and installed the new water heater that same day. George was professional, the place was left clean and delivered a great product at a fair price. Will definitely call Ahoy for any future plumbing needs and will pass on his info to family, friends and neighbors. read more

Excellent experience. George was great to work with for swapping out 3 old toilets with 3 newer models. He is responsive, professional, and courteous. Bonus--no plumber's crack! Just kidding. I appreciate his customer service in doing a job well done and cleaning up after himself. I did have a minor issue with one of the toilets (not his fault) after the toilet swap, and George fit me into his schedule ASAP to address it with no "if's and's or but's!" I'll hire him for future projects! read more

I contacted George (owner) of Ahoy Plumbing to remove/install a vanity faucet, replace (2) spigots in the laundry room, and reroute an old plumbing drain under a bathroom vanity. He arrived early, listened intently as I explained my concerns, and went right to work. I had called another master plumber about replacing and rerouting the old drain, but he was unable to address the issue. The job required opening up the drywall, removing/cutting the old drain line that attached to the main drain, and installing the new line. George's knowledge was extensive, and his expertise was evident, when he handled the job with relative ease. George was extremely patient, answering numerous questions that I had about the proper techniques and materials used in the plumbing trade. He has a great personality and is a pleasure to work with. If you are looking for an experienced master plumber that performs quality work for a fair price call Ahoy Plumbing. He will be my plumber for all future projects. read more

Our toilet was clogged past the point that we could deal with, and our garbage disposal wasn't turning on at all. While on the phone with George to schedule the appointment, he asked questions to diagnose the toilet and disposal, and was able to mostly fix the disposal over the phone by telling me what to do. The next day, he was on time and finished fixing the disposal the rest of the way. There was a screw stuck in it, and he didn't charge for that part of the fix because of how simple it was and how little time it took. The toilet he and his apprentice fixed without much trouble, and he charged a very fair price. I will definitely be using them for plumbing needs going forward, and would recommend them to anyone who asked. read more

Scheduling was easy. Arrived on time and completed the job in time allotted. Found a bad pressure valve on the incoming water line, quoted a very fair price and was able to fix that too. Our water pressure is better than before and hot water arrives faster in our shower! read more

We were fortunate to find Ahoy and George was amazing. We had a stoppage for the outside drain and we called Ahoy to come service and he came out to give a free estimate but his price was reasonable so we asked gone to do it. The stoppage was clear but unfortunately the design of the French pit that we had was slow drain and cause more flooding into our basement but not as much as before. We called Ahoy again and he recommended installing a sump pump and again his price was reasonable. We haven't had flooding since. Then we had another plumbing issue with a leak from a bathroom. He diagnosed it thoroughly and identified the issues as a leaky roof and poor grouting on the floor. Why we love the service we received? 1) free estimate 2) reasonable price 3) excellent communication and very quick to respond 4) very friendly service 5) prompt service We had called George three times and all three occasions have been amazing. read more

Ahoy Plumbing did a fabulous job on two projects. I couldn't be happier. I'll be using them for my plumbing needs going forward.

Excellent job! I would highly recommend! I got 3 estimates and George was the most reasonable. The job was completed in less than 3 hours. read more

Ahoy Plumbing - 75 gallon water heater installed as promised. - Plumbing Near Me

When contacted to get rough-in plumbing installation I was advised it is not offered service.

I write this review of Ahoy Plumbing with the highest recommendation: Water was pooling at the corner of our lawn near the meter well in the sidewalk. George responded swiftly and came out when he said he would. After shutting off my main water line, he worked in the pouring rain to ensure there was no leak on my line (it was a municipal issue). He then gave me information about my house's plumbing that I didn't know before. Last, he wrote up a detailed report of his findings and diagnosis for my use and records. A consummate professional. All this no charge! I will definitely call Ahoy Plumbing again. read more

It was great to work with George from Ahoy Plumbing. He responded quickly and was able to fix (replace) our sump pump the next day, saving us from another flooded basement that evening. He confidently answered all questions and got the work done without issues. We received warranty issue for the sump and a thorough description of everything that was done. Nice electronic payment/invoice system. read more

Called in looking for a plumber to help us prime our pump, he walked me through the process of doing it ourselves for free. Absolute saint.

I highly recommend George Baker of Ahoy Plumbing. George does great work, he shows up when promised, he's an excellent communicator, and I found him to be honest and trustworthy. His prices are fair and reasonable. I recommend him wholeheartedly. read more

Replied in a very quick and timely manner. Very friendly. Will return again. Thank you!

Fair pricing that was much lower than other quotes we got. The work looks and works great. George was friendly, responsive, and able to fit us in quickly. Highly recommend! read more

George is someone I highly recommend. He fixed our problem and came back a/c another problem and advises us to get our septic cleaned. He called later to make sure that we were not having problems. George was great to work with and took a look at the issue I was having. He came with a mask as well so that an extra plus! He provided a recommendation to help alleviate the issue we were having and it was something small that we could do ourselves. I trust his opinion and would call him back in a heartbeat and trust that he wouldn't overcharge us. He's a small business owner and I'd support him in the future! read more

Extremely fast response time. Clean and professional. Price was very fair (shower drain, drain pipe, and trap replacement) and work was completed quickly. Would highly recommend to others. read more

I heard some rumbling in my pipes and messaged a few businesses and Ahoy Plumbing was the first to respond. He came out the same day and made an assessment and told us what we needed to do. We decided to replace our water heater and he never charged us more than what he quoted us. I felt we were getting a fair assessment and he wasn't trying to make us replace things unnecessarily. I appreciated how kind and efficient he was. I would recommend him to anyone in the local area. read more

Had an issue with my water heater. George immediately responded and set up an appointment the next day. He was punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this company! read more

George -who owns Ahoy- responded immediately to a general Yelp quote request- well before anyone else. We set an appointment for less than 24 hrs later, then he called around Noon saying he could move up my appointment from 3 to 1. He arrived on time with mask and shoe covers. He then PATIENTLY cooperated in completing an exceptionally detailed and frustrating online questionnaire- to obtain authorization from my home warranty company. Although that authorization process required about 45 minutes, he nevertheless persisted. His effort enabled me to expect reimbursement of all but my $60 copay of his total charges...which did not include any of the time he spent on the authorization process!! Although I had specifically requested a quote from Heidler, they responded well after after AHOY and stated their "techs" were not permitted to make any contact on my behalf w/any home warranty company. George is personable and easygoing, but he works quickly, effectively and professionally. He is a Master Plumber and it is obvious. I told him when he was leaving that AHOY will be the FIRST plumbing company I call for any future needs- and I fully intend to do so! I'm not sure I've ever felt more confident in a worker while also being in such a good mood AFTER paying! read more

Fully recommend George and Ahoy Plumbing! Was extremely quick to respond to my call. Great communication and scheduling. Explained my issue and clearly laid out what was required. The quote was fair and reasonable. The workmanship was excellent and fully resolved my problem. A true professional! Just wish I had found him earlier. read more

George responded to my inquiry promptly and showed up just a day or two later. He was sitting outside in his truck maybe 10 mins prior to our appointment at 10:00 am, rang our doorbell at 10:00 am on the dot. He was was professional, kind, well prepared and full of information. The visit was complimentary but he did need to do some light work for which he charge us a fair and reasonable price. Thank goodness we didn't need extensive work done. If we should win the future I will definitely reach out to him again. I definitely recommend him. THNAK YOU! read more

Recently had some plumbing work done due to a septic backup emergency. The company called in to do the work replaced both the underground septic, and main water feed to the house (not sure why they replaced both, I believe they may have hit the pressurized line when digging down to the septic blockage). After this initial work was done, the normally great water pressure in the house had been reduced down to the inability to use more than one appliance at a time. We were unable to use the sink to wash our hands as the toilet tank refilled after flushing for example. After presenting my issue to the initial company and still being left high and dry, I decided to seek help from a better source. I called AHOY, and was connected with the owner, George, and he was able to quickly schedule me for a free estimate the following day. He then came to my home, and I was able to give him all of the information he needed, as he examined the mess left by the previous plumbing company. George then suggested we run a few simple tests before starting work that could possibly be much more expensive, and possibly much more intrusive. George's suggestion quite possibly saved us thousands of dollars when one of the tests spotted a fitting that was not put on properly. The improper installation of a 90° fitting was restricting a large part of the main water flow into the house! Not spotting this could have resulted in thousands of dollars in unnecessary work, and who knows how much wasted time. George and his apprentice were fast, extremely knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. If you need any plumbing work done, especially the more involved or difficult jobs that require the knowledge of a master plumber, I highly recommend George and AHOY Plumbing. read more

I had a hot water heater that stopped working. The company came to assess the problem and quickly realized it was a high temperature safety shut off. He hit the reset button and we checked to see if it tripped again. And it didn't. He also went through a cost estimate if had been the heater elements and/or thermostat. Another company had come by before Ahoy and provided estimates to both replace and repair water heater. Even after I asked the first company "don't you want to remove the access panel and at least check the power to the elements", he responded "I dont need to and I can hear there is power there and I don't want to waste your or my time". So the first guy left recommending a big repair. But Ahoy was already scheduled so when they came he immediately fixed it. And his repair estimate was more reasonable than the the other company. Ahoy didn't even charge for the repair because he came for an estimate and FIXED the problem during evaluation. Ahoy is a small company and it was the owner who did the service call. He was extremely knowledgeable and with a great attitude. I absolutely will use him again and would much rather use his company that one of these huge companies that have tons of overhead to pay for their owners who definitely are not wielding any wrenches. read more

Company owner came out the same day for a free estimate and started the work the next day. Replaced two hose bibs which turned out to be more complicated than anticipated due to the way the builder had installed them and also replaced a leaking pipe in our bathroom. All three jobs were completed neatly and with high quality materials. We are very pleased with the work. read more
