Four years ago, they replaced my water pressure tank and several failing fittings, and installed a reverse osmosis (RO) system. Given the cost of this work, I expected durable materials, proactive recommendations, and transparent guidance. Unfortunately, both experiences have left me disappointed -- and more importantly, concerned about trust. Regarding the pressure tank: during installation, their team very likely observed an older, visibly corroded metal well intake pipe that had likely been in place for nearly 20 years under prior ownership. Fast forward to today -- I noticed heavy white corrosion on the 4.5-year-old brass fitting and an active water leak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Given the risk of catastrophic failure, I called for urgent service. To their credit, they arrived within two hours, which I appreciated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However, I was then told the metal pipework was not covered under the tank warranty and that it should be replaced with stainless steel -- which they acknowledged would last longer and resist corrosion better than the prior installation -- at a cost of $1,400. When a contractor identifies visibly corroded infrastructure during an install, I expect clear risk disclosure and upgrade options at that time -- not four years later when failure is imminent and the homeowner has little choice. Now to the RO system: at installation, I was told the filters were widely available commercially and easy to replace. I later learned the filters are proprietary and only sold through water system companies -- not readily available via retail as originally represented. That distinction materially affects long-term cost and flexibility. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Years later, I called to ask how to sanitize the RO system myself. I was told it's something only they can do and that they would handle sanitization when delivering the next set of filters (rather than shipping them), which I accepted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]After the technician sanitized the lines, he casually told me, "You know you can sanitize the lines yourself." That is exactly what I had asked about over the phone. I relied on their guidance, only to hear the opposite in person.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For tradespeople working inside a home -- especially on critical water infrastructure -- trust and clarity are foundational. When guidance changes, material limitations aren't disclosed up front, or foreseeable corrosion isn't proactively addressed, it raises concerns beyond just cost. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I appreciate the prompt emergency response, the combination of reactive fixes, proprietary product limitations, and inconsistent communication has made this an unsatisfactory experience overall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

I purchased a hot water heater for a rental property from Atlantic Blue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were slow to contact me after paying for the install.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was not present at the install (a mistake in retrospect). The day they installed the new water heater I was contacted at 9pm by my tenant saying there was no cold water in the house - just hot water. I had to send someone to the house to check it out and we found out that the water valves had been turned off in the basement and not turned back on for either of the two units at the property. When I went to the property to check there was a sludgey mess on the basement floor around and in the drain in front of the washing machine. I took photos of the mess and wrote to them the next day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got an email back saying a service manager would call me. I heard nothing for several days and had to clean up the mess on the floor myself[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (not sure what the crap will do to the drain). I then emailed saying I had heard nothing back and had never received a receipt for the payment they processed after which a service manager called and apologized, agreeing that the technician made mistakes but basically said I should have called them at 9pm, that the calcium in the drain wouldn't hurt anything, and they would have sent someone to clean up the mess if he had gotten my message sooner. No refund or any consideration was offered. I will not use them again. read more

The plumbing "expertise" became substandard over time, and they even neglected to tell me I was purchasing the incorrect salt for my softener until after a problem occurred. We needed hot and cold water and a drain for a washer and dryer to go in our kitchen, but were told by several companies that installation would be complicated by the presence of heating ducts under the floor. Atlantic Blue sent out a master plumber at no cost to find a solution which would not involve drilling thru joists or installing an expensive pump. We've had a few challenging issues at our house and they have always been honest, reliable and quick. Friendly. Fast. Professional. Thorough. The first face to face was with the owner and so was the last. A diagnostic appointment of the existing water softener/neutralizer brought to light that the existing system had a flush line installed directly to my sewer line which is a code violation and is incredibly dangerous, as if putting a hose directly into my toilet with no measures taken to prevent back flow into my drinking water. Atlantic Blue's plumber and installer, Mike Haines, flushed the existing system, flushed all exits, replacing a clogged kitchen faucet and bathroom spigot jammed with sediment, as well as installing a new p-trap blocking the back flow of noxious gases and sediment into the new flush line. A recheck for bacteria contamination reflected an all clear and now a system that used to irritate my skin is now up and running without issue. I would definitely recommend this co. Revised evaluation of the above. Shortly after posting the above critique I was contacted by Kirk, the service manager for Atlantic Blue about my concerns. He apologized for the condition of the space left by the technician and said he has already addressed that with the tech. Kirk also provided me with the invoice from his supplier of the pump that showed the price he paid. The invoice also showed a suffix in the model number that was not included in what I researched. The suffix indicated a non-standard specialty pump based on but different than the pump I researched. Considering the increased cost of the "specialty" pump, what I was billed for labor is appropriate. Any company that makes the effort that Atlantic Blue did, and Kirk specifically, to address their mistakes and to explain, respectfully and satisfactorily, a misunderstanding on my part has my full appreciation. I am thus changing my evaluation to 4 stars. I"m staying with and will be calling Atlantic Blue the next time I have a problem with my R/O system. read more

I had scheduled several projects for today but had an issue with the our main water valve. Our technician(Mike) went above and beyond (even went into our crawl space!) trying to solve the issue. He spent almost an hour attempting to find a solution, but ultimately it needs to be dealt with through our city. Mike didn't charge me for his time (and it's in the 90's today!) and had a fantastic attitude! I've already rebooked for next week. read more

Our kitchen sink was leaking, and we googled local plumbing services. We found Atlantic blue and they had great reviews so we decided to try them out. They were able to come out quickly for a free estimate. They recommended we replace our sink hardware (faucet etc) due to it's age and said that was what the issue was. So we paid $200 for a new set from Home Depot, and they came to install it. Well the estimate was for $350 which I thought would go down since we bought our own hardware. Ok no big deal - my misunderstanding. Well the next day I just decide to make sure everything is ok and check under the sink - to find that the leak is still happening. I immediately called them and they said they'd have the tech come back out the next day. So the tech comes out and tells us it's now a completely different issue from the first "issue" that he "fixed" and gave us an estimate of $360 to "fix" it. I expressed my concern at the time of having the pay more than I paid the first time for an issue that should not have been missed. I also felt it was odd that a basket strainer installation would be so costly so I called the office to express my concerns. I'm told they'd have to reach out to a manager to get an ok on a discount and call me back to say "we understand your concern with the tech not finding the second issue the first time so we'd like to extend a 10% discount" to which I laughed. A whopping $36. At this point I knew I would probably go elsewhere but requested an itemized estimate - which they refused. Their estimate just stated what they'd do and the cost of $360. They refused to show me parts vs labor. Shady business. So I ended up reaching out to a different guy who came out and fixed the exact issue the tech from Atlantic said and charged us $140. The itemized receipt showed the parts cost $20. No wonder Atlantic blue didn't wanna show me an utilizes estimate. They wanted $340 for an hour of work to fix a mistake they should have fixed the first time. To sum up - awful customer service, shady, rip off - DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

I had my water softener system upgraded about a year ago and they did a wonderful job installing. I was having some green residue after a few months and they came right out and did an analysis. Doug is wonderful! He did an extensive testing for the problem and it was fixed within days. I was telling Doug how I hated the taste of my well water and he suggested a reverse osmosis system. It was installed the next day! I love the taste of my water now and do not have to keep purchasing bottled water. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

They charged literally more than double what another local service charges!!! I will never use them again. Additionally, the invoice they gave me was not itemized, so I don't even know what part of the bill was parts and what was labor. read more

We had Atlantic Blue install a chemical injection system and new well water tank with pre-filter at our house. They were extremely knowledgeable, upfront, and easy to deal with. They did excellent work on the system and charged fairly for the work. It was overall a great experience working with them on our project. read more

Atlantic Blue did a great job of making sure my wife and I were satisfied with their work. They dug out a new drain in our foundation for our basement bathroom remodel and they set our new shower pan for us. We had a minor complaint with the shower pan, and they came right back out and fixed it for us immediately. They are a nice group of people who did good work for us, and were very professional. They always showed up right when they said they would too. read more

Five years ago I hired them to install a hot water heater. They sold me one with a heat pump on it, and told me it was warranted for ten years. A few months ago the heat pump part stopped working and there is a leak. I called them. Their idea of customer support was to tell me the original maker was out of business and give me the phone number for the people who took on that company's warranty work, leaving me to contact them myself. Essentially zero support. They're right there when it's time to sell, gone like summer dew when there's a problem. I cannot recommend using them, and I won't again. read more

Atlantic Blue likes to pray on their customers that are in difficult situations. They lie to their customers about the time that they will arrive for an appt on a repair that needs to be completed that day then show up super late in the day where the customer feels like they have no choice but to accept their overpriced quote so they can get the job done that day. This has happened twice to me by this company. It will not happen again. I was overcharged by hundreds of dollars for parts and labor on an exact same job that they performed a few years ago, and the parts were covered under warranty. BUYER BE WARNED! read more

Purely garbage service!!! Technician was suppose to be here between 0800 and 1000. Got a message at 0934 saying he was on the way. At 1100 I called, asking if there was a delay and was told they would have the guy call me. 1200, same thing, 1300 same thing except apparently this guy was in my driveway for 20 minutes calling me. No calls, no guy in driveway, checked security cam, oh guess what nothing. Waste of time and money. read more

My well pump gave out last night... Unless you have lived through this... it is hard to describe how much this can impact you. No well pump--- no shower, no toilets, even brushing your teeth is a challange. I googled repair services... and narrowed it down to 3 based on reviews and loaction. Had to leave messages at 2 out of the three. Atlantic Blue Water Services was the only one that answered the phone at 8:15am. They had a repair person at my house by 9:30am. My well is more than 300-foot down. Joshua showed up on time... was polite and professional. He showed me that the pump failed... Which I knew. He recomended that I also replace the expansion tank and the wire going to the pump. He took the time to show me WHY he made the recomendations. The wire was worn, with exposed wire are a dozen spots and the expansion tank bladder was 50% full of water. He finished the entire job before lunch. He was finished by the time the other companies were calling me back. A+ Service. read more

STAY AWAY. these guys are scammers. they are always looking to up sell. AB installed the system in my home and I used them for 10 years. Last year one of my filtration tanks went bad. They wanted to charge me for a new one and charge hundreds of dollars stating that it was not covered by warranty. Another company came in, fronted me a new tank bc he was able to replace it and get refunded by the manufacturer bc the tank was indeed under warranty. They also cleaned up and upgraded the filter that AB had installed. If this is how they treat a customer after 10 years, how are they going to treat you ? I also know a plumber who used to work there who advised me that they are taught to upsell when it's not alway necessary. read more

Atlantic Blue installed a water system neutralizer and softener. They even corrected a sediment filter that was installed incorrectly by another company previously. They were extremely professional and honest!!! I liked that they took the time to explain everything. The owner actually came and did the water test. he said that we did not have to do both units at the same time...that we could have the neutralizer installed and see what the water was in 30 days to determine whether or not we need the softener as well. Wow! That's honest. The price was reasonable and less than other companies I got estimates from. but in no way reflects on the quality of the product. It's a great system and they back their products 100 percent. I highly recommend this company and their systems! Honest and did a great job on the installation. read more
