First & Last Restoration

(1 review)

We did not have a good experience with first and last restoration. They were very attentive until…read moreour insurance denied the claim. I talked to their representative who said he would send me an estimate, instead they sent their crew out in less than hour unannounced to take their equipment. They also had my wife sign a liability release that said we had received their mitigation plan and had refused. First of all my wife was home with a newly broken shoulder and was not involved with this project. Second I had just spoken to their representative from my work truck and he knew I wasn't home. Also we had never received an estimate or mitigation plan. They sent that the day after to cover their butts. Secondly. When we got second estimates for the plumbing work and packing out of our belongings, we found their estimates from the companies they referred were wildly inflated. Their plumber wanted $7,300 to dig up and replace the sewer line in the front yard. Not the whole pipe, just a small damaged section. I had it fixed by a licensed and insured company for $690. I watched their video screen and the entire pipe was clear and intact. It didn't need dug up. Also they recommended a pack out company that wouldn't even give us an estimate until the insurance was approved but First and Last's representative told me similar jobs cost 15-20k. I got it done by a licensed company for $3,000 It appears to me that if they can't over charge your insurance company, they are not interested. They charged me $2,900 to vacuum the floor twice. Great.
