Order at the counter and they'll give you a number for your food and drinks to be delivered to your table. Arrived and got right to the counter but shortly after the line developed and did not stop. There's seating in the front and also all the way in the back but the back room doesn't have windows and is dark and the floor was VERY sticky and the tables are long community tables so decided to wait for a seat in the front area which worked out perfectly. Portions are generous and the food is good. They also have gluten and dairy free and vegan baked goods as well. Wish they'd venture in GF / DF donuts and the world would be good. Haha. read more

Chimera is one of our favorite places to grab coffee/juice, food, or drinks in downtown Tulsa! It has such lovely and unique artwork and decorations inside. The atmosphere is very chill and perfect for hanging out with friends or going on a study break. They have very friendly staff members who are helpful and give great advice on what to get depending on your taste preferences. They have plenty of options for healthy tacos, sandwiches, salads, and vegan/vegetarian bowls for breakfast or lunch. You can also enjoy delicious cocktails in their full bar when staying out late on a weekend night. read more

What a great coffee shop! High ceilings, exposed brick walls and a massive shared table along with some smaller tables scattered about made the place attractive and comfortable. Lots of fairy lights and houseplants complete the picture. The best part, of course, is good, strong coffee. I got a very, very sweet pastry from the front counter. I wish I'd realized they have a full breakfast menu or I would have ordered something more filling. Rats! The bathrooms appear to be gender-neutral. Each features a portrait on the door of a smiling human of indeterminate gender, and each appeared clean and spacious. read more

I came to Tulsa to visit one of my close friends and this place was in my must tries! I ordered: TWINERS VEGAN PLATE: This dish was a little plain tbh. The tofu scramble was simple, there was fruit on the side, and the slices of vegan bacon/ strips were a bit dry for my liking. On a positive note, it was pretty refreshing & healthy. STRAWBERRY DONUT: This was bomb! The frosting was the perfect amount of sweetness. I didn't care for the sprinkles or strawberry on top, but was def there for the moistness of the donut. MAPLE DONUT: This stole the show! I loved how it wasn't overly sweet. The consistency was perfect. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The man who took our order was very charming! Fun breakfast cafe in downtown Tulsa! We got some great breakfast tacos, and they had a pretty extensive drink menu too. Lots of plant based options! You order at the counter and then find a table (inside or outside at the couple of tables out front) and they bring your food to you. We went on a Friday morning and didn't have trouble finding a table, but there were lots of people working and studying in the cafe. There is paid angle parking on Main Street. For a Friday morning there was a bunch of activity! When the majority of places on this street were just starting to open up Chimera looked like it had been rocking for what seemed like days. I was little confused about the set up-is there table service for eat-in and this is just the line for coffee? It seems pretty dumb in retrospect but I just stood in line and hoped for the best. I'm not a coffee drinker, it's not my thing so I was glad to see there was more than coffee/tea available and got their kombucha on tap. I was really hungry so I ended up ordering three tacos: the Disappearer, Green Eggs and Ham and Back to Primitive; basically, all the ones with meat in them and based on the recommendation of staff got pico, tomatillo and pico respectively on the tacos. AND because it looked so good got one of their cookies. I got a seat near the window and waited for my food to arrive, the cookie just staring back at me, tempting me to eat my dessert first, maybe that's why it seemed to take so long for my tacos to arrive. When they did I immediately tore into them, then halfheartedly regretting not taking a photo of them. My favorite was the Diapperer, the Green eggs and ham were a little watery for my taste. I didn't take a picture of the cookie either because but despite it being gluten free it didn't have that dry, 'sand in mouth' texture that you get with GF items. read more

Great coffee, friendly staff, and tasty, healthy breakfast options. I have eaten here twice, picked up carryout once, and had several rounds of coffee. For coffee, I have had espresso shots, cortado(e?)s, and a macchiato, and all were excellent. I've tried a few of their breakfast tacos and had a breakfast bowl (that I think was a special) that featured poblano peppers, tomatillo salsa, pickled onions, greens & scrambled eggs. The tacos were solid, if a little expensive, and the breakfast bowl was excellent. It was also a nice spot to sit for an hour with a coffee to kill some time. Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The place was packed and in the Art district.. in a God loving city this place made me feel like a pocket of Austin existed and welcomed all walks of life here. Now let's talk food... tofu scramble, crema, cashew cheese, etc.. was better then vegan food I've had in Austin. I can't even describe the flavors because there was so many that they all blended together to make a dish worth $13 dollar SZ My husband had the vegan biscuits and rosemary gravy and added fuaxrizo on top. The full order for $9 was a perfect portion and kept my husband full all the way until we hit home. The coldbrew was a tad bitter until I added 3 oz of oat milk and vanilla to it. The ice they used isn't the best and does melt quickly- but I am just a snob for my small ice and how it makes the coldbrew taste ‍ lol. Eat all of the breakfast tacos! I've come here now a couple of times, and have tried a few of the different breakfast tacos. As someone who is known for not being a fan of breakfast food, I can say that the breakfast tacos here can satisfy anyone. The main barista here is super friendly and chatty. I love that he loves his work and being creative. We bonded over the fact that I am a former barista and have had some great banter off of that. The space is really cool, and all around the staff is friendly and kind. This is a great location, and you should definitely grab breakfast here if you're in the area! read more

Location: This was one of the few places that made me not feel crazy for wearing mask in our short visit in Tulsa. Staff was friendly and engaging. Great little coffee shop on the edge of downtown, with plenty of vegan options. I stopped in for breakfast one morning, looking for a small-to-medium-sized meal. I got their avocado toast ($8), which comes vegan by default, and is quite the decadent and high-quality dish. You get a massive piece of good bread, topped with avocado, a quite spicy carrot cashew creme, micro greens, and pico. It needed some salt, but was otherwise delicious and good value for money. Great spot overall for coffee and vegan food options. read more

Such a cute and casual cafe/ coffee shop. I got the oatmeal, which at the time was banana and date flavored. I'm not sure if that's the standard, but the lady taking my order made it sound like a temporary flavor. If so, I'd be curious to know how often it changes, because it was really good! I added nuts as a topping which worked really well with that particular flavor (banana bread oatmeal, anyone???). The inside is smaller, but it didn't feel like there wasn't enough space. I got there at a good time though, because just before 11am (on a Saturday) people really started coming in and a line formed. Also, the lady taking orders was VERY friendly, really knew the menu, and just seemed happy to be there and to talk to customers, which is always nice to find. I also appreciated some of the little details I noticed, like tying the sliverware and napkin together with a little piece of white yarn. So cute!! read more

So excited to try the food here after so many great reviews. Good sized menu, lots of options for vegan, lots of cold and hot coffee and desserts. My only gripe is the high price for the small amount of food you get is disproportionate. I get that business need profit especially now but this will deter me from another visit. My boyfriend and I had brunch here on Sunday around 11:30 and absolutely loved it! We just moved to Tulsa a week and a half ago and have been exploring the different places it has to offer. We split the L.A. club scene sandwich with bacon which was perfect! The bacon was amazing and the sandwich had a lot of flavor. I also got the cappuccino which was delicious as well. I would highly recommend this place for food and drinks. It is perfect for lunch and we will be back! The only downsides were that it is a little pricey, however we expected that for a place like this. Expect to spend $10-15 on the food and at least $3.50 for a drink. A true hole in the wall. This was such an unexpected delight to have found on a long road trip through Oklahoma. I was so impressed with the taste, quality, service, and vibe of this restaurant. it was such a great experience with the live music as well. And I'd love to return next time I'm in the area. My husband and I stopped in Tulsa for the night during our road trip honeymoon and it was by FAR the best food we had on our entire trip. The inside was super cozy with plants and had a slight industrial feel with exposed bricks and pipes. If we had the option to stay in Tulsa later, I would have gone back the next day to try something else. All of the food looked and smelled amazing. I Highly recommend if you are vegan. Delicious food! Five stars. Excellent service! The only thing I can sweetly suggest and hope this place changes, is the fact they use it as more of a coffee/ Internet spot which deters a lot of us who just want to come for the dining experience. ;) For example when guests come in to actually eat you are sometimes waiting for a table that is taken by someone who is NOT eating but just using chimera for free internet. ;) So I definitely recommend calling and reserving a spot. loved this, loved the sense of history you get, knowing the extensive history of the Chimaera. It's really quite lovely as the sun sets. We were there off-season so not at all crowded. I read below that at times people are BBQing marshmallows and sausages--we didn't think to do that or might have! I'd be a little careful with smaller children--after all, there are open flames all over the place! But also you'll have to carry them when they get tired, which will not be so fun. Come here if you LOVE coffee! When you love coffee, you know you don't usually find coffee with exceptional coffee flavor. But the coffee here is really really really good! Brewed almost every way you could want. Had a macchiato, and enjoyed it so much, I got the cold brew to go. I'm sad I'm only in Tulsa for the weekend... the menu looks really good, too. Chimera is the new Middle Path Cafe. Wonderfully Healthy with a full bar back if you are in the mood for a libation that can have a healthy slant too. Their menu items of all things green, fresh and grainy (and meaty if you choose)are perfectly prepared and presented. I think I tasted coconut oil in their dreamy gravy. It worked. I loved the vinyl brunch - eating fresh, healthy breakfast on a Sunday was made even more refreshing by listening to great music. I've never been there at night, but the amount of board games in the corner told me that it is probably an entertaining place to go for a drink and games with friends. I enjoyed the hipster ambiance. Great food. They have some really good vegan options but don't let that throw you off if you like meat. Even if you go for the sandwiches with bacon it is perfectly cooked every time. The prices are a bit high, but they try to make sure everything has a little extra effort put into it - even the water. Dropped in here during some down time at an art show at the Vangard. How did I not know about this place before? Had their buffalo sliders - amazingly good. Had mint tea - again, amazingly yummy. It can be difficult to find places in Tulsa that offer a lot of vegan variety (other than salads), so I really enjoyed dinner here over the weekend. I was able to ride the trolley downtown from our parking place to Chimera, and we hopped back on afterwards. The adzuki strips added to some of the entrees is delicious!
