The inside of the shop is interesting, with knickknacks and things to look at in every corner- kids would love it for this reason! I immediately noticed that there were no prices on the menu... there were cups displayed on the counter with small/medium/large pricing but it wasn't clear what these cups were for- it looked like shakes. It was very off-putting for me to not know the prices of what I'm ordering, especially with more specialty items like cookie dough or coffee/ice cream creations where I can't predict a standard price. Second, there was only one dairy-free option... a cookies and cream ice cream. While it was tasty, it was my only option and that never feels great to order something because you have to. It also didn't have a description or any info available so I was left wondering what made it nondairy... almond? Coconut? Oil? Of course at a creamy whip type place I'm not going to expect the entire menu to accommodate me, but it's nice when there are at least a couple other options- especially with coffee, it would be easy to have a nondairy milk available or a sorbet/dole whip since they already carry many flavors. I tried a tiny bite of my husband's edible cookie dough and it was delicious! Seemed really sweet though- he could barely finish his side by side because it was so sugary--a good problem to have :)) I think I would go back if I had friends with me or happened to be in the area for Blink or the pool or something, but otherwise I would probably choose somewhere else where I have more options s and I know what I'm going to spend.

I especially noticed how patient and attentive the staff was as customers looked over the large menu filled with a variety of flavors and options. They were happy to answer questions and even provide samples to help customers decide. The staff was incredibly kind, and the manager especially helped make this visit memorable by providing a pup cup for our furry friend. Small gestures like that truly make the experience feel one of a kind.

My boyfriend is from the area and has raved about the black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream here for as long as I've known him... and he was right to do so! This ice cream is about as close to perfection as I've ever had (in terms of ice cream). There are big fudgey chocolate chunks throughout and the consistency is super creamy; definitely don't skip this flavor! We also tried a "nectar soda," which to me, seemed like vanilla ice cream with cream soda--it was non-memorable. I went with a swirl cone, dipped in chocolate. $5.00 even. Lady at the register was super nice, and actually came into play later during my visit........... I got my cone and walked over to the tables they have. I saw a family wearing their Reds gear, and I had on my Cardinals hat. We started chatting about baseball and other stuff. While talking, this cone was dripping like crazy. My hand was covered in ice cream and I was trying to woof it down asap lol. I finished my cone and out comes the young lady who helped me at the counter. The people I was chatting with were her parents picking her up from work! I asked her if I could use the hose they had outside to rinse off my hands, and she let me know that she could get me some wet wipes. She went inside and got me some wet wipes which took care of my ice cream problem. GREAT customer service! The ice cream was delicious, and the history of this place goes back almost 100 years. The flavors are great and love the new flavors weekly to sprinkle in with the staples. The texture is so smooth! My wife and I enjoy sitting at the window seat in the main shop, but plenty of extra seats in the space attached. I almost didn't want to review because I want to gate keep but this place is just amazing and I think everyone should try it.
