Looks like any other strip mall joint from the outside, but when you step inside you will find yourself in such a cute camping themed restaurant. Canvas tents, coolers, lanterns, greenery, lamps the look like the moon... very nicely done. Then you see the menu and it is heavily Asian and it's a bit surprising because stereotypically you do not think of Asian food when camping... or is it just me. So I was afraid that this would be just another gimmick, BUT wait till you taste this food. OMG, it is delicious. There were only 3 of us today and so we shared some of our food with each other. The scallion pancake as super delicious. Beautifully arranged almost like a fan on a round black plate. Stunning. Even better was the taste. The pancake itself had a little crisp on the outside and was light and tender on the inside. The taste of it was even more enhanced by the dipping sauce which was served with it. I will east this again for sure. I ordered the rock shrimp and these put other similar dishes at other restaurants to shame I must admit. You get 6 big shrimp which are coated and then deep fried until they are golden and crisp on the outside, but not chewy and overdone on the inside. These are done perfectly and served stacked on a nice plate and doused with a delicious sauce... Sort of like a bang bang sauce... yummy. I will get these every single time I visit here. We also had several skewers, my favorite were the shrimp and the lamb skewers. The cauliflower were pretty good, however the Portuguese sausages were only ok in my opinion. One of my guests also ordered the squid balls appetizer and loved it. I don't eat such things, so I'll have to take his word for it. All of us took home the dry chili noodles. I wasn't overly impressed with those. Don't get me wrong, they are good, but I am a snob when it comes to food, so I will try something else next visit. In summation: the food is great and beautifully presented, the restaurant's decor is so cute and Instagramable, the prices are quite reasonable, service is friendly and accommodating and there is free parking out front. Really what more could we ask for.

Was not sure what to order, but have been wanting to try this place for some time. I ordered the beef skewers, (DELICIOUS!) They were seasoned very well, but a bit hard to get off the stick. I would FOR SURE order these again. The Scallion Pancake got ordered since it was marked as a "popular item" on the menu. It was flakey crunchy and fantastic! I also ordered the jumbo shrimp skewer, they were seasoned very well and I would also order this again when I go back! For my "main" I chose the Roast Duck Bao Bun, it was flavorful and fresh and the sauce was sweet and really good. I can't wait to go back and try some of the more non mainstream items perhaps, such as the grilled oysters or fish tofu! The atmosphere is clearly the highlight of most reviews and yes it is cute, but the food is just as good IMO.

The ladies in my life suggested Chill'n Camp for lunch today. We drove across town to East 82nd Street to start our lunch adventure. I'll start the actual review by saying, I wanted it to be better than it was. The theme of the restaurant is a camping type theme while serving Asian fusion type food. I had the Teriyaki chicken over rice, which while well priced and being an adequate sized serving, it just needed to be better. It was a grilled chicken breast over rice with a pan seared egg with some sweet chili sauce. (Not sure what was Teriyaki about it). Another of my dining partners got the Steak Bulogi over rice with a pan seared egg. The meat lacked flavor and there was no sauce at all. Again, it just needed to be better. The last member of our party had their interpretation of white meat General Tso's chicken over rice. The dish was a battered chicken again with the same/similar sweet chili sauce. I'll say it again about this dish, it wanted to be better. Finally the appetizer we ordered which was the sweet and spicy Korean wings arrived after we had eaten our entrees. The meat to batter ratio was off as they were too heavily battered. The sweet spicy sauce was OK. A couple of the wings didn't seem fully cooked. Again, I'll say it. These should have been better. Regarding the service, I'll boil it down to "it should have been much better". I'm told the ladies restroom had no toilet paper... Should have been better... The theme of camping fits because like most camping trips, it didn't live up to the hype and the idea of it was better than the execution.

Very cute atmosphere but the chairs very uncomfortable. Chairs don't slide well so watch your knees when you pull yourself into the table because those also have an issue. Tables are metal and crossbars are directly at your knees .... Ouch! Duck noodle soup was excellent but very little duck for the price. Wonderful authentic broth though. Beef skewers were full of flavor but a little tough for my taste. Beef Bulgogi with rice was good (better at dedicated Korean restaurants). Korean wings were just ok (the dedicated Korean wing places nearby are much better). The waiter we had never checked on us after serving us and the waitress got our bill and togo box. They had 4 tables so it was unfortunate. Overall cute atmosphere and will return for the other soup noodle dishes and give them a try.

My sister found this place on Instagram actually and we were out anyway so me and my mom dropped by. OH MY GOSH you step inside and already get the camping vibe. Their menu is so haha well the variety is awesome as well as the drink menu. To start off we got the Takoyaki the calamari. To describe it, it's kind off like a calamari fritter and to drink I got the Brown Sugar Oreo Boba Milk. All excellent! Next we shove to try a little but if everything; lamb, Fish Tofu, Jumbo Shrimp, Enoki Mushroom and cauliflower. Oh my Josh SO good! Almost forget the owner is what she must've been was SO nice! I don't know why we were the only ones there. I'm telling everyone about Chill N Camp!

Ambiance: cute themed camp site and it looks like they do Karaoke there. Food: not the worst, but definitely not amazing. The noodle soup was average, not overly salty which I appreciated. The chicken pineapple rice had soo much sauce. It was swimming in sweet&sour sauce (at least that what it tasted like). And I was so disappointed with my boba . They cooked the boba to be overly sweet and not really chewy. The drink was really bland like water. Service was fine. It reminded me of a fast food sit down. Overall, very average

What a really neat, completely unexpected experience! No, Chill'in Camp is NOT an outdoor adventure store. However, it IS a very new, very one-of-a-kind destination eatery with a menu of Asian persuasion and an extremely interesting dining room - think camping chairs and tables; working lanterns, globes, white light strands, and an overhead light that resembles the moon to illuminate the atmosphere. Although artificial, the addition of tall grasses and green rugs add to the camping ambiance. I was #lost and I hadn't yet even had a bite of the cuisine I was about to meet! Take a look at the photos to understand that camping is the vibe, but the food served at Chill'in Camp is hardly hotdogs and S'mores. For a peek at the complete menu, click here https://www.chillncamp.com. I hope you'll decide to give this new dining experience a try. I'm really glad I did and WILL return for that shrimp! #Getlostindiana

We really enjoyed our recent visit to Chill'n Camp. They were fully committed to the camp theme & it was nice sitting in one of their tent style booths. We got the $60 family combo & really enjoyed the options especially the skewers, wings, shredded chicken dry noodles, and the boba. The dry noodles was unexpectedly fantastic. Service was a little slow with orders not arriving all at the same time. Overall though, a very fun and tasty place for lunch or dinner.

The chicken bun and the beef bun. They are HUGE! So YUMMY

Thought we would try a new place for lunch. Walking in the place is very clean open and great layout. Very eye pleasing! The chairs, though, if you've got thick thighs and big hips, it hurts sitting in them. I just sat at an angle and I was ok. The food was SPOT on with the flavor! YUM! Everything was wonderful and plenty! Lots of parking also. A great dinning experience. Thank you so very much

Our foodie group came to Chill'n Camp Tea & BBQ for lunch today, and it was a unique experience. I was running late, but the other members of our group were there, and the restaurant was not open at 11:00 am like it is advertised on the door. It turns out the staff were running late and opened the restaurant late around 11:15 am because they were stuck in traffic. When I arrived, I was surprised at the theme of the restaurant, which was Asian/Thai, but the ambiance was definitely a campsite theme and looked like a campsite. There were tents that we ended up sitting in for lunch that were booths, but looked like tents. It was a cool ambiance and made me feel like I was outside camping. The menu was Asian/Thai cuisine, like I said, which was a big surprise for a campsite ambiance, but looked very good. I ordered the takayoki for a starter which was calamari balls with eel, scallion, and onion, and lamb skewers. The takayoki was out of this world and a party in my mouth. The taste was unbelievable and loved every minute of it. The lamb skewers tasted incredible and cooked to perfection. The texture of the lamb was just right and had incredible flavors. I ordered the sauteed Jasmine Green Tea to drink and it was very refreshing! My friends ordered the shrimp and scallion pancakes for starters which I sampled and they were terrific. I even picked up an order of the shredded chicken dry noodle entree to take home for dinner because my friend ordered it and it looked amazing. I tried it for dinner tonight and it was very fulfilling. The texture of the noodles were perfect and the shredded chicken and broth made for an excellent combination of flavors. The service was good from the owners. We were the only ones in the restaurant, along with two other people, so it was not a long wait for our food. Chili'n Camp Tea & BBQ is definitely a unique restaurant and a different dining experience that I have been used to in the past, but the food is excellent and well worth the price. You will feel like you are camping, but with a Asian/Thai cuisine twist to it. It is different and unusual, but well worth the experience. Everyone should come check this place out.

I give 4 for ambience and service, staffs are nice. But for food : from Asian / Taiwanese standpoint (taste aspect) 3/5. The portion is huge though. I did feel wow with the presentation. It's a fun experience that's for sure.

What a fun place!!! I absolutely adored the environment and the food. The flavors were delicious in the sauce for the dumplings, and the chicken wings Korean sweet n spicy flavor were AMAZING according to my boyfriend. Ella was a WONDERFUL server!! She was incredibly sweet and very attentive to us. She informed us that there was a karaoke machine we could sing on so of COURSE I had to sing!! I had too much fun here and I plan to come back here with my friends who also love to sing so we can all have good food and a great time!!! :)

We visited this cute and quite Asian BBQ spot! The theme is so cute and fun! Very nice vibe! I'm it waiter was very kind! Food wise the appetizers and smaller plates such as the wings, the pancake & the bun were very delicious! In our opinion much better than the mains! Our main dishes were under the over rice option! I got general tsos chicken & he got pineapple chicken! Both really great portions and they were good just not amazing! I think adding something like soy sauces would help! The pancake was my favorite! So delicious & the chili sauce topped it off! Overall, it's a really nice spot and I would for sure recommend the pancake & wings! I would come back to try other items! I forgot to try drinks and so I definitely would like to try those and their ramen!

Although, I wasn't in New Orleans the spiciness took me back there. The wait staff was great. Even though we were late for the reservation we were seated promptly and had multiple people taking care of us. Intimate. The lighting? Soft. The whole space feels like a quiet luxury moment tucked right into the city. Now let's talk about what REALLY matters, the food. The shrimp & grits??? Listen... this wasn't just a dish, this was an EXPERIENCE. The grits were creamy, smooth, and perfectly rich, but that sauce layered on top?? Whew. Flavor on flavor on flavor. You've got that deep, savory, slightly smoky profile with juicy shrimp, sausage, and those pickled onions cutting through everything with the perfect tang. Every bite felt intentional. Like somebody knew what they were doing in that kitchen. And can we talk about how beautiful it was plated?? Because yes, I absolutely appreciated the aesthetics before I even picked up my fork. Paired it with a simple coffee moment, sitting by the window, and honestly... it felt like a reset. Not rushed, not loud, just good food, good atmosphere, and a chance to actually enjoy it. If you're looking for a brunch spot that feels a little more elevated, a little more intentional, and delivers on both flavor and experience. This is it. 10/10. I'll absolutely be back!!!

The restaurant has a very cute aesthetic and plenty of seating whether you wanna sit at a table or at the bar. It was a little bit of a busier time when we came for lunch, but it didn't take our group too long to be seated. They have plenty of options if you have a taste for sushi or if you want a regular protein based entrée with rice I also appreciate that there were a lot of veggie options for non-meat eaters. I had a dish with broccoli and shrimp and it had great flavor and the portion size was perfect. It also came with a small side salad or soup before your entree came out.

The restaurant presents like a higher-end sushi house, but this is a little mismatched with the slightly loud 80s pop tunes streaming from the speakers. It seems like instrumental soft Japanese stings would be more appropriate. Also a little mismatched in the ambiance is a giant TV screen on the back wall (near out table), and large TVs over the bar area. They just don't "look right" with the tables and interior décor. The menu seems on par in price and offerings for similar-style sushi houses. We split edaname($6), I got the sushi dinner ($23) and hubs got the special lobster & seafood clay pot ($36). I drank water and he had 1 diet coke, so everything with tax + 20% tip came to $90. The food is presented beautifully, and tasted good. Both dinners had choice of soup or salad, and we each got ginger salad. We're lovers of ginger dressing. This one was ok - tasted good but could have used more, as I has lots of un-dressed lettuce in the bowl. My sushi dinner was fine but nothing extraordinary. For the "special" lobster & seafood clay pot, presentation was again beautiful, aroma and taste were good, nice sauce, but it was a little underwhelming in both seafood contents and amount. That being said, we had a small amount of leftovers from the hub's dish (some rice, sauce and veggies), and they present very nice takeout bags with a thermal lining. We actually ended up giving the container of food to a homeless man downtown, so I did not eat the leftovers, and, admittedly, it was not enough for a full lunch. So overall, while the food was very pretty and also tasty, we have a lot of other sushi options that give more bang to the buck for our quantity and atmosphere preferences. #yum #ReviewsByRL

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.
