Located in the fun and lively Garage Food Hall. My daughter loves ramen and was so excited to give this place a try. She ordered ramen with a miso soup base, pork dumplings, and added chili oil. She was glad she added the chili oil because she said it added just the right amount of spice. I tried it as well and thought it gave it just a little heat - could be easily eaten by anyone. We got the order to go in case we couldn't find a table. They packaged the soup separate from the noodles so her noodles wouldn't get soggy in case it would be a while before she could eat it. read more

I'm going to want to give this place another try because it has potential to be amazing. The service was fast and friendly despite being busy for an event at The Garage Food Hall. I ordered the grilled wings and the edamame. The edamame had real potential but was completely covered in the mayo sauce. Mayo sauce was super yummy but I want less of it. I will order again but sauce on the side. The grilled wings were very good. read more

Tried this option in the Garage food hall for the first time and was not disappointed! I selected the shoyu base, chicken, cabbage, and the veggie dumpling. I asked them also to make it a little spicy, like a medium heat. (Total was $20 and some change). The portion was huge! The spicy level was just right and the chicken was so tender- it reminded me of a perfectly cooked rotisserie chicken. If you are in the mood for ramen or a warm bowl of soup, you definitely should try this place out! read more

Lil Dumplings is in the very cute Garage food hall in Indianapolis. I had every intention of getting noodles here but so many items on their menu looked good that I ended up ordering a few other things instead. The pork dumplings were my favorite! The sauce was sweet and spicy. I didn't realize how spicy until a couple of dumplings in and it caught up with me ! Very tasty! I also liked the Adobo Chashu Steamed Bun. The cashier was friendly and helped me decide between a couple of dishes. read more

I've been obsessed with the pork and leek dumplings here for years and hadn't had them in a while, so I was excited to get some while in the area yesterday for the Yelp Elite Event at Sandbox VR. I made a bee-line for their stall in The Garage Food Hall and saw that inflation has taken its toll on my beloved dumplings. What was once 5 dumplings for $10 (which was expensive) is now 5 dumplings for $12. It made no matter. I ordered them anyway, and enjoyed them thoroughly. Service was fast and efficient as always and it's amazing how the stall is packed one minute, and the crowd is dispersed in the very next. I just wish the serving size was a bit larger for the cost. Sidenote: If you're paying attention, the cook prepares your food right there in front of you. Bing, bang, boom...dumplings in seconds! read more

We came to the Garage for dinner. First time here, and we were with our grandchildren. So there was a wide range of what everyone wanted to eat. I found this noodle bar and ordered the chicken ramen. It was SO good!! Broths are often too salty for me. This was perfect! They make their noodles in-house, and the chicken was moist and tender. Their jammy egg was spot-on! Yum! I placed my order at the counter and the cashier told me the approximate wait time. Came back and my ramen was waiting for me. It was delicious! I'd definitely eat here again. read more

These lil dumplings were absolutely delicious and flavorful. I stopped into the Garage for a drink before visiting Sandbox VR and I saw how delicious the dumplings looked so I went back afterwards to order some to go and the service was very quick. I received my food within a few short minutes and was on my way. I ate my dumplings on the card ride home and regretted not getting another order. read more

It's located inside a food court, which is really convenient because there are plenty of other food options available as well. It's a great spot if you're dining with a group and everyone wants something different. I love the Bang Bang noodles!!! They're so flavorful and creamy, with the chili pepper oil and crushed peanuts taking them to the next level. The combination of textures and flavors is just perfect and makes this dish really stand out. Definitely a must-try if you like bold, savory dishes. read more

Delicious food. My husband loves it. The dumplings and chicken ramen are delicious. Service is quick and friendly!

The pork and leek dumplings were great with the chili oil, pickled onions, peanuts and scallions were delicious! I was going to get the ramen but switched to get the dumplings and a bao after seeing them plate some up. The bao was good, but it was weird to me that they did not peel the squash. I did not notice that you can add on a couple dumplings with soup for $4. read more

Employees were very nice. Dumpling were very bad. Bland, somehow tasted like dirty water.

I love the menu wall. The whole little set up is very cute. The counter folks are very friendly and quite efficient. Not exactly cheap I had been looking forward to trying the pork and leek dumplings, but so far they had always been sold out. Today was my lucky day... The dumplings are beautiful little morsels of goodness. My only grip is that they are drowning in the chili oil which really overpowers the delicate flavor of the dumplings. I'll have to ask for less of that on my next order. Really looking forward to trying other menu offerings. read more

My coworkers and I decided to pop into The Garage Food Hall for lunch, and Lil Dumplings Noodle Bar sounded so lovely for a bowl of hot Ramen on this freezing day; however, I was a little sad to see the extravagantly priced menu options. I mean for $20, you better get a bucket of Ramen to take home with you. Alas, I had Asian food stuck in my sites and I wanted to give them a shot so I went with the 5 pork and leek dumplings. I would have preferred the veggie dumplings, but they were not available today. In their defense, there was a sign posted notifying customers of menu shortages today. I wouldn't mind coming back a different day to explore the menu more. I was told there would be a 7-minute wait for the dumplings so I had a seat out in the commons area with my coworkers. Only then did I notice that they were all given buzzers from their vendors to let them know when their meal was ready. I thought maybe that I had forgotten to grab one from Lik Dumplings, so I went back over and learned that you just have to stand there and wait for them to call your name. So my coworkers got to mingle while I stood at Lil Dumplings waiting for my order. Not my favorite move on a lunch break, but it is what it is. So high prices, limited menu options, and an inconvenient wait earns them 3-stars from me today. The dumplings were tasty so I plan to return a different day and give them another try. I understand that everyone has offf days, even businesses sometimes. read more

My first Lil Dumplings Noodle Bar experience is in the books! I have been obsessed with noodle and ramen dishes lately, but I have only been cooking my own instead of trying from restaurants. I needed to see how mine compared with more authentic options. The line was short despite the Garage being packed that day. We could hardly get a table of 4 as we got there around 1 pm (lunchtime on a Saturday!) My parents were visiting from out of town, and my dad decided to grab lunch with me from this place as well. I ordered the Chili Crunch Noodles with a soft-boiled egg, and he ordered the Ginger Chicken Ramen topped with a soft-boiled egg (I am not sure if this is the actual name or not!). The wait for this food took less than ten minutes which was surprising because I have seen people wait over 15 minutes for their food from this location on less busy days. At first impression, I thought it looked quite tasty. I could tell the noodles were topped with perfect crunch and spice at first glance. I wasn't as impressed with my dad's ramen. It's probably just not as easy to make that look "exciting". I dug into the noodles after mixing in the soft-boiled egg. Was it love at first bite? Not quite. I liked the dish, but I did not love it. With something this oily, I think I just needed a bit of acid to balance it all out. I wish there had been a little lime or rice vinegar thrown in or on the side for just that. I ended up using a little spicy mustard from my mom's BBQ dish to help with the acid flavor. Not enough to get the mustard taste, but just a dab to get a little vinegar with the noodles. Other than the lack of acid, I really did like the dish. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the soft-boiled egg was marinated perfectly. I think there were peanuts in my dish which were okay, but I think they could have been better if they had been in small pieces. A large bite of peanut was a bit odd in-between chili flavors. I tried a bite of my dad's ramen, but because I am not a huge ginger fan, I really was just not the target audience for this dish. He loved it! My biggest moment of self-reflection on this was when I realized that I genuinely do like my "homemade" ramen that costs less than $3 per serving more than the $15+ individual portions at this location. If I go again, I will probably get something unique that I couldn't make easily at home. For example, their coconut curry ramen seems like something I would try at this place. read more

We found this place on Yelp and thought it was a stand-alone place - imagine my surprise to find out it's in a huge indoor food court type of place! Called The Garage. My boyfriend and his sister both ordered the Dan Dan noodles and enjoyed it. We shared an order of the dumplings, which were good, and a bao ($5), which was GREAT and super unique - this week's was something like fried chicken, pepper jelly, honey butter, and honeycomb. Pricey but delicious. I also had one of their cans of Thai tea which was also great. I'd definitely come back here but may try one of the other Garage places too! read more

What a yummy spot in The Garage Food Hall! I tried the dandan noodles, which are made vegetarian (you can add meat if you like). They come with bok choy, sprouts, peanuts, cabbage, mushrooms, egg and hot oil. I had them leave off the egg and mushroom. Make sure you mix everything up really good as that savory soy sauce is at the bottom of the bowl. Loved the handmade noodles and the peanuts and will definitely go back to try some other dishes! I don't know why but I always get a bad vibe when I come here. The staff have never been friendly with me and it's off putting. Also, I must choose horrible times to come because they are always out of everything. I wish they had boa buns and more snack/appetizer options. As far as the ramen goes, it was okay. I found the broth flavorful but too salty for my liking. I tried the ramen with the crispy chicken. I'm not sure what the name is. The chicken was cooked incredibly well. It was seasoned beautifully and very crispy. I loved that! The soft boiled egg was also excellent. This is not my favorite place to have ramen but it's a good option if you're visiting the garage and in the mood. read more

Not worth $19 for a half full bowl of Ramen The pork belly is a little tough, I had to bite and fight with my fork The bowl had pork belly, corn, a narutomaki, scallions/greens, the noodles and some bamboo mushrooms I believe. The broth, or whatever I could get out of the bowl, was good and flavorful When they first hand me the bowl I was confused on why it was only half full and dry, as you can see in the first picture I love my ramen to be slurp-able when I finished my noodles, this was not at all broth-y. I know ingredients are getting expensive I get that and that's why I paid $19 plus tax on this bowl, but I expected more Amount of ingredients are okay, not broth-y/almost dry ramen, not as what posted in other Yelp reviews, good flavor For the price I expect more broth please. read more

I had to come again for a second round of dumplings! This is one of the new walk-up shops in The Garage food hall at Bottleworks. It's located on the right side of the food hall where the larger bar is, next to Lick ice cream. If you haven't had the chance to visit the Garage, these dumplings are a great excuse to check it out. What I ordered : 4 Leek dumplings ($10) and pork belly ramen ($19) THE DUMPLINGS: So these are by far the best dumplings I've had in a long time. It reminds me of the legit dim sum places I use to religiously visit in Hawaii. They're perfectly seasoned and the sauce to dumpling ratio is on-point. It does have some chili oil so it may have a little kick. My bf usually is sensitive to spice, but he was able to eat it without spitting it out lol. The 4 piece serving is just the right amount to have on the side to one of their main dishes. $10 for the amount you get is definitely steep, but I still find myself going back for more. THE RAMEN is definitely different from any other ramen in Indy. The broth is extremely rich and tastes like there's some Hispanic influence of some sort...which was a surprise. I'm honestly still trying to decide I liked it or not LOL. It comes with the standard sides-green onion, egg, etc. and the noodles are SUN noodles which are a little more thick and dense compared to other places here. My noodles felt a little tough. The ramen is definitely on the smaller side for a $19 bowl THE SERVICE is kind of non existent. The staff literally cooks right in front of you so they all seem extremely stressed and flustered and that energy follows through from the guy who takes your order to the guy who's calling your order out. I've visited during slow times and busy times and on both occasions I found myself waiting for a while. Overall, these dumplings will keep me coming back regardless of the service and price. I'm probably gonna need to sell my organs if I keep going back. read more

This place has been on my radar for a long time and after making it to The Garage, I knew I had to try it. The menu is small with a few starters and noodle options. I was tempted between the Veggie Noodles and Dumplings. The cashier said if I'm not starving, definitely do the dumplings and it was worth it! It comes with 4 dumplings for $10. The outside noodle is so fresh and silky and smooth. The inside had pork and leeks, the top had a sauce and cabbage and some sort of green onion. It was savory and absolutely worth the hype. The prices aren't cheap for the portion, but for the quality it makes sense. Somebody else I was with ordered the Duck Duck Noodles and although they said they were good, he said they were EXTREMELY salty. I look forward to trying the noodles next time to see what I think, but the steam buns (someone else ordered and went back for more they were so good!) and dumplings were a hit! read more

Ordered bowl of noodles for $11, expecting some great tasting good quality of noodles. Added chicken (a few pieces of dark meat, ugh) And added a steamed bun (bao) for $6 What I got for a total of almost $26 was a bowl of Ramen noodles, few pieces of chicken, and very salty sauce. The bun was maybe 4 small bites, tasty but very small Didn't even order a drink. Tooo pricey and with all the other choices there at Garage, I'd not ever go back. read more

Came here for a quick meal and was pleasantly surprised with the authenticity of my noodles. I got the chili crunch (or crisp? Idk I forgot the exact name) noodles and it was a good amount of spice that wasn't too overbearing. My only critique is I wish it came with some sort of vegetable - the whole time I ate my dish I wished I had a side of garlic bok choy with it! The dish is literally just noodles + sauce + garnish, so it's a filling meal. My order was ready within 5 minutes and the employees were friendly. Pretty good. A bit expensive for what you get but that seems to be typical of the Garage. Got the Yuzu Chicken Ramen, the dumplings, and a Bao bun. Bao Bun was amazing but I'm a sucker for Bao! I always try and look at reviews on Yelp before trying new places and I guess I failed on this one. I wanted ramen so bad and knew this place was in the Garage so I was excited to try. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and they were just so average. Oily like others have commented, you can see them making the food fresh but somehow it still tasted old? Ordering was quick and easy but getting the food took 20 mins. My chili crisp noodles didn't have a protein so I thought it would be quick. 5 words: steam bun of the week. I was in The Garage Food Hall and needed a small snack. Lil Dumplings Noodle Bar stood out to me, especially being a fan of Chef Carlos, the owner. I opted for the $5 steam bun of the week, which happened to be "braised beef, hoisin, pickled cucumber, and peanuts." It was AMAZING. The bao was incredibly pillowy, the beef pulled apart, the peanuts added crunch, and the pickle mixed with the beef for the perfect salty bite. I hope these come back on the menu in the future, but now I'm officially hooked. I'll be back for the Dan Dan Noodles, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Pork & Leek Dumplings and... anything else on the menu. LOL. Service was so incredibly rude it made me not want to eat there. I asked a simple clarifying question about the menu and was met with snark and told (in a very rude way, believe me) that I could look at the menu to answer ALL my questions. Basically, "Don't talk to me." It wasn't like there was a crowd or they were super busy. I probably would have understood then. But it was literally just me standing there, no one else around. Then when I asked if I could get it to-go, I got an eye roll. I said "sorry" because this guy genuinely seemed like I put him out of his way, and I got a snarky "it's fine" in return. As I was standing there waiting for my food, I literally heard him respond to a customer asking how he was, "I'm surviving." So rude, I've never seen anything like it. AND THEN I went to eat my food. Started with the Steam Bun which smelled awesome. Tasted good too... but after a couple bites unfortunately I found a hair in it. The Chili Crunch noodles were good. I was just visiting town, so will probably not ever be back (thankfully). Would definitely give another restaurant in the hall my money over this place. read more
