Holy Dog Farts. This was an epically bad experience. So here I am on a Saturday with the family (wife, son, fat baby) wanting to get a little grub/booze and take in the first NFL wild card game (Bills v. Texans). We decided to give Chili's in Lithia a shot. Its my first time at this Chili's, but obviously we have all dined our fair share of Chili's warehouse-like trash food in the past. Anyways, I waltz in like an old school gangsta and request to be seated somewhere within view of a television so that I can view said Wild Card game. Keep in mind it is 4:45PM and this hell hole is less than 25% full. The hostess goes "uhhhh, uhhhh maybe, uhhh (looks around like an asshat) yeah... uhhh, come with me". She proceeds to sit us adjacent to the bathroom in the only spot where the tv is literally in the opposite direction of my head. I pointed out a plethora of open tables (I'm talking 12 plus) in view of several TVs. She says "No, you can't sit there because I don't have servers for those spots". I looked at the 16 year old kid and asked when she expected to have serves so I could sit there. She indicated really soon. I said coolio lamb chop, we will gladly wait here at the table with the TV view. She looked at me with an Old Testament vengeance and said "No, I will need you to wait up front". So, with all the calmness in the world I looked at my girl and said "f*ck this". Just at that moment I noticed a booth in the bar area and went and sat down. From this point everything took forever, which was perplexing considering the place was empty and crawling with slack jawed employees. Regardless, food came wrong twice. Check out the Southwestern Egg Rolls the waitress brought us after brining us a wrong item. The egg rolls looked like a battered wife. And yes, that is the wrong dipping sauce. The waitress was so depressed I couldn't even bring my self to complain as I thought it may push her over the edge. I couldn't have that my on conscious tonight. Any other day I wouldn't have cared, but not that night. In closing, I just want to say this place blows horse wang. Thanks Chili's for giving a 0.0 effort. Drinks are incredibly cheap and therefore I will likely be back. read more

Well, seeing as I am dining all alone on Easter, I get to order and have the food all to myself! I did their great 3 for 10 deal which was a ton of food! I had the 6oz sirloin with a side salad, broccoli and loaded mashed potatoes. I also indulges on the free chips and salsa which were piping hot. Great server, even though he was new. We always get good service here and the food is consistent. I don't understand the 2.5 star ratings! read more

I was very impressed by the service but our 3 for 10 deal was disappointing!! We had the sirloin steak which was edible but not tasty and for a medium steak it was rare. My broccoli wasn't even warm but raw. Mashed potatoes weren't warm and very lumpy not mashed. The best things were the chips and salsa and YuengLing. read more

Went here to pick up a to-go order around 1030 on a Saturday. Walked in and the place was empty. Ordered a sampler (chicken, onion wedges, and cheddar bites) and queso. The chicken was the highlight of the meal. Everything else was garbage in my opinion. The chips were not cooked all the way and had no crunch whatsoever. The queso had a thin layer at the bottom piled with tomatoes, guacamole, and cheddar cheese. The $27 I spent for this could have been well spent on something else. I visited the lithia Pinecrest location on Saturday and I am so incredibly disappointed by my experience. My boyfriend and I decided to sit at the bar since there were a lot of open seats, we waited 25 minutes and the bartender never greeted us or even made eye contact. She made sure to take care of all the drinks being rung up and of everyone else at her bar but never even looked at us. We ended up getting up and just leaving but wow I've never felt so disrespected at a restaurant. Not once did she even said "I'll be with you in a moment". Nope she just completely ignored us. I've been a hospitality professional for years, and I know this isn't how you give customer service. Disappointing. read more

Used to go to this place all the time. It's been going downhill ever since a few years ago. Portions are slowly getting smaller, everything is really salty. Takeout portions were super small and food wasn't prepared right (south western egg-rolls weren't cut, the sauce on the spicy chicken crispers was almost non existent). Sometimes the chips are excruciatingly salty, and just the other day when we ordered a To-go order one bag was completely stale (or not cooked right maybe). I used to love this place and I don't know what happened. Hopefully it will get better soon. I feel bad writing a bad review of this place but hopefully they will take time and fix their food. read more

Usually avoid chains but was given a gift card so why not go have a free dinner. Over all totally average and what you'd expect. I had the three app combo with sliders and what was on the menu as "chicken crispers" and what came out looked nothing like the crispers in the picture on the menu. These were more of a batter like you'd get with sweet and sour chicken. Not crispy at all. Not sure what's going on there. My wife got the cheese enchellada (spelling?) and liked it alot. The highlight of the night was the taller male bartender who was quick to refill drinks. All cons, no pros. - Super slow service. - Sticky tables, even AFTER we asked for them to be cleaned. - Our first round of mango sweet teas were good, but our refills were not the same drink. I am normally a big fan of Chili's & have been to this location several times. Not sure what has happened since we last visited, but we won't be returning to this location. The location on Highway 60 near Brandon mall is probably closer & we will go there from now on! We sat in the bar on a Sunday evening around 7:45 pm. Service was slow & she was very unfriendly. There was another server that was working the bar area, but she was only focused on cleaning up tables. The bartender seemed more concerned about holding a conversation with the only patron sitting at the bar. The food was mediocre. My husband had the trio fajitas & I had the chicken/bacon quesadillas. Neither was great. The place was not crowded at all when we arrived & we confirmed that they were open until 10pm. Not sure if they were short staffed or what, but we had noticed a decline in this location the last time we visited as well. Would suggest making the drive & going to your next closest Chili's!! read more

Ok, I now Chillis is a chain restaurant but they have several items on their menu that are simply the best. In my humble opinion, no one does a better job with these dishes than chillies: 1) chips and salsa - their salsa is amazing and I love their ultra thin tortilla chips 2) steak fajita nachos: refried beans, melted cheese, steak and jalapeños all prepared individually on tortilla chips 3) steak fajitas: their steak is very well marinated and flavorful, cooked to perfection Try these items on your next visit, you won't be disappointed. read more

Updated Review: much better experience today! I was greeted at the door by Cat, one of the managers. Who instantly seated me at a two person booth. They were slammed, but I was dining alone. I had an amazing server name Callan, who made the experience so much fun and I never wanted for anything. If you go to Chili's, ask for him! Truly a much better experience than the last time I was here. I couldn't ask for more! Also, the food was great, came out piping hot, and my margarita was delicious! read more

It gets two stars because the afternoon wasn't a total bust...but it was close. Had a party of eight for some family birthdays. We weren't given menus before or after everyone arrived -- one of us had to walk over and take them from the stand. Our server was kind, but she seemed to disappear for long lengths of time. We started with four appetizers which took a hell of a long time - confusing because it was not even half full. Our meals arrived in a very fragmented fashion as well - not like two minutes apart, I mean that some of us waited 10 minutes to get our food after some of it was served. At this point the manager came over and apologized and comped two of our appetizers. The vibe I got was that there was some kind of kitchen issue, but why couldn't our server have communicated that? She later apologized about the menus, stating that servers are supposed to give everyone menus when they seat people (we had been seated by another server, not a host). I found this to be immature -- don't make excuses, just apologize and move on. I think the most surprising thing about this day was the food. It just wasn't that good. I haven't been eating at chains a lot since I came to Florida but I have always been a Chili's fan...hopefully this is just a bad location. read more

Nothing bad about the place, just your standard Chili's. We have had some amazing servers and some lack luster ones as well. Always good chips and sales and we love their honey chipotle chicken crispers. They do have good drinks specials often. Avoid their steak though, the ribeye was absolutely terrible, looked microwaved and...just terrible. read more

We have been in about fifteen times over the past three years and have noticed a decline in service and food quality. The staff has been generally attentive and poorly educated on the menu. My wife has pointed out menu items to the staff twice in the past few months that they didn't know existed. Lately most of the servers seem generally distracted for some reason. read more

Let me start with I appreciate the fact that chili's is open. Our family frequents this chili's at least 3-4 times a month. Many of the servers recognize us upon coming to our table to take our order. That being said, last week I placed a to go order. When I got it home and the container holding the salsa for the chips was 1/3 full. I called Chili's not so much to complain but just ask them to pay attention to what they were doing so the same thing didn't happen to someone else. They told me I could come back for more salsa if I wanted more. I declined. Once I got to my meal I was missing the sauces to with the meal. This week I again placed a order to go. The server put the food behind the drivers seat and I drove home. I get home and again no condiments to go with my meal. I had a reward for chips and guacamole. I didn't realize I had been charged for an item that was supposed to be free until I got home the second time . I had the guacamole and a full container of salsa, but no chips. I again call chili's, I am again offered the opportunity to return for the food I should have been given the first time. This time I did return for the food that was not originally given to me. The chips were more crumbs than whole chips. I'll end with mess up my order once, shame on you, mess it up twice, shame on me. You can bet the next to go order I get from chili's I will check every container before leaving the parking lot. read more

Ordered to-go last night to take to the office today for lunch - mistake. The salad is half rotted and for $13 you would think there would be a little more lettuce/spring mix. We used to go here all the time. Sometimes twice weekly. But our recent experience with Andrew the bartender has made it a place we stay away from and also tell other to stay away. At our last visit Andrew was very dismissive and angered if we asked questions about the menu or for more drinks. We asked for another round of drinks , in which he only acknowledges us with a thumbs up. Never saying a word. He then proceeds to wash all the dishes rather than make our drinks and then we had to ask him again for our drinks. When he returns he slams our drinks down and never ask for our order. I then ask the hostess for a manager. Manger came and had us move from the bar to a booth and new server. She told she had our two drinks covered and to enjoy our evening. Andrew then comes storming from the bar and slams down the bill on the table and storms away without saying a word. We then flagged down the manager again and told her of the incident. She was very apologetic but none the less we left. We have stopped by numerous times and Andrew is still working there treating customers poorly. Beware of the Psychopath Andrew. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. Worst service I've ever had. The bartender wasn't friendly and was too busy chilling in the back and playing on her phone IN FRONT of customers. My family and I love to eat out at local restaurants. We decided on Chili's yesterday and we were hungry. We arrived at Chili's at about 5 PM. We were seated and Marcus was our waiter. Things went south from here. Marcus got us our drinks and our chips and salsa. Suddenly, Chili's became busy and Marcus was nowhere to be seen. He showed up in about ten minutes with our hot pretzels and cheese sauce. The pretzels were good, the cheese sauce was okay. He asked if we would like some more chips and salsa, we replied yes, but we never received any more. After about fifteen minutes, a girl showed up with our food. I ordered a spicy chicken salad, my wife ordered a burger with bacon and onion strings and my two children ordered cheeseburgers and french fries. The problem was the girl brought my children personal pizzas. I told her the mistake and she left to find the cheeseburgers. The manager showed up and asked how we were doing. We told her the situation and she apologized. She said Marcus was left by himself because the waitresses showed up late. She decided to wait on our table herself. She refilled our drinks, brought us napkins and made sure our food was right. She also told us she would take the chips and salsa off our bill. We ate our dinner and the manager showed up. She asked us if we would like desert on her. She recommended the large cookie with ice-cream on top. We said that would be nice. In five minutes a girl brought out a hot chocolate chip cookie with a big scoop of ice-cream on top. The cookie was delicious and my children were happy. Our bill was $30.56 because the pretzels were free too with a coupon. The manager took about $14 dollars off our bill. I tipped Marcus $4.44 because the manager of Valrico Chili's was the nicest manager I have ever met. I never would have tipped Marcus if it wasn't for the manager. The manager (I forgot her name) wished us a great night and left to help somebody else out. We really enjoyed our night out at Valrico Chili's. If you are around the neighborhood, check out this restaurant. You can be sure if your waiter/waitress is not doing the job, the manager will step in and save the day. read more

Bar smelled of old beer and spilled drinks like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were more fruit flies than bar guests . Bartender was not very friendly to me or other bar guest but as soon as a regular walked in she spent all of her time taking care of him. A business an not survive on its current clientile alone, you have to bring in new guests and make them feel welsome...this is not how. Food is average bar food, but it could have been great and I would have rated it one star. I have been to great Chili's before, this is not one of them . read more
