This is my second visit to this location. I ordered the exact thing as my previous visit...3 for Me; Smash Burger w/fries. I had a bowl of Chicken Enchilada soup and it was delicious. The smash burger was really good and my fries were 100% better this time. I asked the waiter to please ensure my fries were fried fresh. I ordered the strawberry lemonade and it was really good. The crispers came with two sides and I ordered double fries. The portion I got just looks a bit small. The burger was so good per usual but when our food first came out the brought the wrong burger. Our waitress wasn't great. She wasn't rude or anything, just not as attentive as other waitresses have been in the past. I had a horrible experience at Chili's located in Tulare. I suffer from Celiac Disease and I have flare-ups to seasonings and many foods. Yesterday, I was helped by the waiter named Gerardo and I specifically told him that my food could not have any seasoning at all that it needed to be completely plain and my broccoli ended up having seasoning and I ended up having an allergic attack. Food and service was great! It was our 1st time in this location and it was also our 1st meal of the day too so we were pretty hungry. A family of 4. The nachos were delicious. The kids loved them as it was cheesy. I had the santa fe salad, my kids had pizza and sliders along with mandarins and fries, and my fiance had steak. Kids got their food 1st and ours followed after. I have been forever coming to Chili's. It's one of those places that is hard to beat and you can never go wrong. They have amazing specials for under $20, complete meals drink salad and main course. Beware of critters in your food! I visited this location yesterday after being in Tulare for a hair appointment. I was VERY hungry as I had not eaten all morning and getting my hair dyed and cut took long. My sister and I arrived and waited about 5 min before we were acknowledged, usually someone is always at the front of the restaurant. I figured everyone is short staffed right now no big deal. I already knew what I wanted to eat and so did my sister so the waitress took our drink order and food order quickly which was good since again I was on an empty stomach. I ordered a steak cooked medium, and when the food came out waitress did not ask who had the medium steak she just gave us our food my sister and I had ordered the same meal, but our steak cooked differently. At this point I did not care because I was so hungry. Towards the end of my meal I started to work on my broccoli that I had ordered with my steak. As I did so I was cutting the broccoli in half as I ate it....to my surprise I found a visitor in my food.... a MAGGOT to be exact. Yes, you read that right a maggot. After a few minutes of being in shock I got a hold of our waitress and let her know. She took the plate and about 2 to 3 minutes later the manager came out to speak with me. She apologized and said they get produce every two days, and would be talking to the company. She did not charge for the food, but at this point I was absolutely disgusted I did not care. I literally walked to my car grabbed a plastic bag and threw up. I guess Chili's does not wash their broccoli thoroughly? Please do better Chili's wash your produce. read more

We usually go to this Chili's location in Tulare after Church on Sundays, and this place never fails. The customer service is always great and the wait is never to long, 5 min the most. The food always comes out together for our party which is great so we all eat together. The taste is always spot on as there are times I order the same thing, and it always hits! I was pleasantly surprised with our experience at chili's. We got on the waitlist before arriving and they sat us at our table as soon as we walked in even though there was a few people waiting for a table. Our waitress did a good job with our drinks and food. Everything came out fairly quickly. The double old timer hamburger was very filling, but wasn't a fan of the side salad. I'm not sure why this place has so little of stars. I personally had a great experience here. Is it 5 stars? Maybe not, but I'll give it to them to boost the star rating. First of all, I hadn't eaten at a Chili's in years, like 15 years or something. It's not a place I normally think to eat, but on this particular day, my family couldn't agree on where to eat. We all decided to try, random Chilis. Our food was good, for the price, it was great. I was really pleased with the new look, kind of rustic with the serving utensils and plates/trays. Everything was cooked well and tasted good. Our server was awesome. He was VERY attentive and honestly, he probably could have waited the entire restaurant by himself. He was that good. Today we went and by mistake ordered the chipotle honey chicken crispers as part of the triple dipper. We let the bartender know our mistake and when she brought out the replacement plain chicken crispers it was a child's portion and they were under cooked. Needless to say we weren't very happy. I recently visited this establishment, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First off, the service was slow; despite the restaurant not being very busy, we had a long wait to be seated. When the food arrived, mine was not as described on the menu. I ordered the Santa Fe Crispers Salad, and there was one tiny piece of chicken, and the rest was just a sad sloppy salad. The person I was with ordered the Cajun Pasta with no chicken, and extra sauce. When they brought her food out it was as if they didn't listen to her at all. Then, when she asked them to remake it, our server was rude. When she returned to the table with the correct order the food was lukewarm at best. I have read the other reviews and my husband and I have never experienced bad service or bad food. It's one of our favorite places to eat. Food served to us has always been hot and delicious. The waitstaff is always friendly. We have seen the manager hustling during Covid because there was very little staff. She didn't just sit in her office. We have been there during busy times and when the restraunt was semi empty. When restrictions were lifted and we could dine in we drove up and were told the dining room was closed due to no waitstaff. It was eerie. My boyfriend and I hadn't sat down at a restaurant in quite some time so we both decided to take a spur of the moment trip to Chili's to spend some time together. We both usually enjoy Chili's but we are not from around here and this isn't a Chili's we've been to. We chose to sit at the bar area. The place wasn't too busy and it wasn't messy. The bartender took our drink orders... I got water and my boyfriend got a Hennesseyarita or whatever. It was supposed to be a margarita made with Hennessey but there was absolutely no taste of Hennessey in it whatsoever. He also poured it out of our view, which is strange considering we were sitting at the bar. I just ordered a water. We finished our drinks pretty quickly before the food got to us and at no point were we offered drinks again for the rest of the time we were there. The food came pretty quickly. I ordered a bunch of sides like always, they were hot and tasted just okay. My boyfriend got the "Chili Philly" or whatever it was called... which is where it went wrong again. It was a new sandwich they were promoting. We both noticed his sandwich had a TON of jalapeños... like probably 90% of it was jalapeños. There were barely any of the other veggies on it at all and almost no meat. Meat is what it had the least of. Mind you this sandwich was pretty expensive and very disappointing. Not once were we approached by our waiter to see how things were or if we needed anything else after we got our food. We actually ate and waited around to ask for our check, but ended up just paying on the tablet thing because no one cared to come by. Again, this place was not busy at this time... maybe just a few other customers. I don't understand why the customer service was lacking so badly. I also don't understand why we were jipped on the two most expensive items we ordered. Ordered a salad via Door Dash from this chili's about a week ago. It basically just had a large chunks of ice berg lettuce with maybe a tsp of mix blended cheese and 4-5 strips of crispy chicken. Asked for extra ranch. Didn't come with any dressing whatsoever. I understand the situation we're all in and these are stressful times. Coming also as a former Chili's employee, this is still a laughable attempt at even trying to complete the salad. I don't expect 5 class service from chili's because hey it's chili's and well I've worked there but even the food I got was laughable to even attempt to call it a salad. I never felt so low and discriminate with our experience last night Oct. 21 2023 with white privileged. We walked in with a party of 9 and check in with Host Tanner. Our wait time is 30mins which understandable due of a busy Saturday night. A Party of 10 white party check in and was seated within 5mins, seems like Tanner is Friends with the group. I asked why they got to be seated before us, and tanner said they had called in since 11am on that day for reservations which they don't do reservations, it's first come first serve. Another party of 12 white group check in. We where about 20mins waiting, sure enough the group of 12 where seated before us again. We asked Tanner the host again, why they're seated before us again. Tanner said, they have called and check in before our party, and told us that we were only waiting 20mins out of the 30mins he told us. At this point, I walked out and called the Visalia and this restaurant(Tulare). If I can make a reservation, sure enough both locations don't do any reservations, it's first come first serve. We talked to a manager, she was apologetic and understanding the situation that shouldn't haven't happened, and they don't do a reservations. To top it off when we where talking to The Manager, Tanner was laughing and smiling about situation. Very disrespectful.
