Amazing beer, great staff, friendly environment AND you can bring the kiddos! This is such a great place and definitely worth a visit!

Ok Tulare County...I see y'all! Very impressed with Kaweah Brewing. The Slauncher is great and beat Pliny in the people's choice award this year. Wouldn't pick it over a Pliny but still really enjoyed it. Can't wait to see what else Kaweah brews!

This is truly a hidden gem. I now in Orange County; wife is from San Diego, so needless to say we know good beer when we taste it. We first visited this place a couple months ago when visiting my parents. Now we're back, and this trip only affirmed our initial impressions. Between the two trips, we sampled basically everything on the menu, but Slauncher really stood out. I can see why it gets all the buzz. The atmosphere is pretty cool too, and the head brewmaster was on hand both visits and happy to talk shop. This place has a ton of potential, and I'd love to see it do well in this town. We'll be back!

I love this little hole in the wall saloon, bar thang that they have come up with. Me and my Significant other went in to fill up a growler...which we had gotten as a Christmas gift, which was the best flipping present of the year by the way! thank you so much!!!... It was at that time that we Decided that We will be stopping in more often

Read an article in 'LA Weekly' about an amazing Thrift Store across the street from the Brewery. It was closed, but I ventured over here because, beer. Glad I did, sad I'm just finding out about this place, but glad for all my future visits. Great selection! I had the Taster and loved every one. Great vibe too, sat out on the patio on a very hot valley day. Always love a fellow nerd that recognizes DW fandom.

They have a beautiful still and the distillery and brewery equipment are all on display alongside the restaurant and bar. Fairly typical small town bar & grill layout. On this day, we ordered at the bar. I'm not sure if that's always the case. We got a variety of entrees and all six of us liked our meals. Tri-tip steak sandwich, French Dip, tacos, fish and chips, and I got frog legs and deviled eggs from the apps menu. Everything was tasty. However, they only had 3 of their own beers on tap and no tastings available of their spirits. Said their brewer and distiller hadn't been in for quite awhile so production was behind. I wish them well as they work thru their absences and ailments. The two beers I tried, a porter and a schwarzbier, were ok. So, right now, it's a fine eatery, but a disappointing brewery & distillery.

The owner needs to do better when it comes to service." My wife and I have been here six or seven times and have noticed the service has been steadily going downhill. This place was empty, and the server behind the bar was accommodating when there wasn't anything more pressing, like answering the phone. Our party of four ordered four entrees, two appetizers, and some beer and sodas. My beer flight and my wife's beer came out lukewarm. When the appetizers came out with the meal, the server told me that if I wanted the appetizers before the entrees, I should have told her when I placed the order. (She didn't bother to ask when I wanted them.) She doesn't seem to understand that an appetizer is a dish of food served before the main course of a meal to stimulate one's appetite. My sides of tater tots were so cold, I took them back to the counter to get reheated. I was very disappointed in my Tuesday lunch. Hopefully, you will have better luck than us.

I ordered the French Dip, which should be a slam dunk for a pub-style spot, but it lacked the basic execution that makes that sandwich great. The Main Event: French Dip * The Bread: This was the biggest disappointment. It wasn't toasted, grilled, or even brushed with a little butter. It felt like an afterthought, leaving the texture of the sandwich completely uninspired. * The Meat: The tri-tip was sliced thin and seemed okay, though it had that "pre-cooked this morning" vibe rather than being fresh off the block. * The Au Jus: A French Dip lives and dies by the dip. Unfortunately, this was essentially bland beef broth--watery and lacking any deep, salty, or beefy complexity. The Silver Lining The meal wasn't a total wash, thanks to the sides. The fries arrived piping hot, crispy, and seasoned well. Paired with a side of their ranch, they were easily the best part of the plate. Final Verdict: If you're going for the atmosphere and a cold beer, it's a win. But if you're craving a high-quality sandwich, you might want to look elsewhere until they step up their bread game.

with one small caveat…read more Tap Yard is hands down one of my favorite spots downtown. The bar itself is beautiful, with a fun, laid-back atmosphere and great music that always sets the vibe. The staff and service are amazing friendly, & attentive. They don't serve food directly, but they always have food trucks, which honestly makes it even better. They're super active on Instagram and regularly post their food truck calendar, so you always know who's serving what and when. My absolute favorite food truck that comes through is Brahma never disappoints. The drink selection is top tier with a wide variety of beers from different distilleries, so there's something for everyone. My go-to drinks are the Michelada with the spicy cucumber mix (so good), The Lady Marmalade, and Dark Horse is also a solid choice. Tap Yard also has an outdoor patio, karaoke nights, and live bands, which makes it such a fun place whether you're going out with friends or just trying to unwind. The only downside for me is that it isn't strictly 21+. Since there's a playground in the back patio, some adults bring their kids, and personally, I'm there to relax and have fun--not listen to screaming children. If you're looking for great drinks, a fun crowd, awesome music, and consistently good vibes, Tap Yard is definitely worth checking out.

Three campers stopped at Sequoia Brewing in Visalia during the drive home from Sequoia and Kings…read moreCanyon National Parks on June 3rd. The running water in the bathroom was well appreciated. The campers ordered three beers and the Gilroy pizza (chicken, feta, tomato, artichoke hearts). They rotated the three beers until each guest tried a sip of each beer and concluded all three beers were excellent! Then the plates arrived, one dirty with food residue. While the campers did not expect to have cleaner dishes at their campsite than at a restaurant with running water, they understood that sometimes automatic dishwashers don't get all food residue off 100% of the time, and sometimes waiters forget to visually inspect the plates they serve for foreign object debris. Next, the pizza arrived with chicken, feta, tomato, and mushrooms?! Now the campers specifically choose the Gilroy pizza for the artichoke hearts and avoided the Flame Grilled Pesto Pizza due to its mushrooms. Immediately upon serving the pie, one camper asked if the right pizza arrived. The half-conscious waiter lied, assuring the correct pizza was served. However, the campers were hungry and in a hurry to drive back home. Nevertheless one reviewed the menu and confirmed that the pizza order is wrong due to the mushroom for artichoke heart switcharoo. This camper told the waiter, who then kindly offered to make the correct pie to remedy the situation, without apologizing for gaslighting the campers earlier while displaying a total lack of awareness for the toppings on the Gilroy pizza. The campers politely declined due to the time required to bake another pizza, with a desire to arrive home quickly, and ate the pizza that was served. Normally, a waiter with a shred of emotional intelligence would offer a free dessert or waive the cost of one of the three beers the campers ordered to remedy the dishonesty, disgusting dishes, and disorganized delivery of delicious, but different than desired, edibles. Instead, the campers paid their full tab and generously compensated the waiter with an industry standard gratuity. The quality of the pizza was delicious: both the toppings and the crust. The owners and brewmasters did an excellent job providing delicious nourishments and liquids while the manager is failing them by not holding the staff accountable to the very basics: clean dishes and correct food orders. The campers had a simple order without substitutions, meaning only the most incompetent staff could find a way to screw it up. Five stars for taste but the service downgrades this review to four. Update (to the owner who replied) why would I go back when you haven't offered any remedy?

Drinks were always made strong and the servers were pleasant although the food always took forever to come out. The food always tasted frozen and oily. The health score should have deterred us and we were always met with sticky tables and glasses. *Three Rivers Mojito: could have used more mint but boy was the rum pour heavy. The lime taste was strong and I would have like more strawberry puree. *Pretty In Pink: fruity and sour with a strong alcoholic finish. I wanted more of a elderflower and hibiscus flavor but the prominent raspberry taste was still good. *Watermelon Vodka: slightly artificial but wow was the vodka heavy. Despite ordering this during happy hour, the pour was generous and the glass was massive. *Fried Pickles: the batter was incredibly thick and it wasn't cooked through. I literally had to peel off the doughy exterior to enjoy the classic pickle. This item needed more time in the fryer and the batter recipe should be revised. *Potstickers: the only decent food item. This was most likely frozen given the perfectly identical creases but it was steamed properly. The dipping sauce was flavorful and vinegary. *Fish and Chips: suffered from the same thick and flavorless batter. The fries were alright, salty and crispy. The cod was tough and rubbery. I mostly ate the fries with the tartar sauce and ranch and left the fish alone. Sequoia Brewing, your cheap drinks will be missed but pretty much nothing else.
