    Hoppy Flight
    Jeremy L.

Passing through Visalia and decided to stop by here for lunch. Great area! Got a flight to test out their beers. The beers in the flight was just okay. Sequoia falls IPA (3): smooth. Okay flavor. Standard. Hop fest (3): bitter finish. Not much body. Jackass meadows ipa (3): super strong. You can taste the alcohol. Blood orange pale (4): good hints of blood orange. Somewhat refreshing. I wanted to get a pint of their General Sherman IPA but they were out, so our waitress recommended the West Coast Stunner DIPA and it was fantastic! This beer saved my beer expectations. West coast stunner DIPA (5): good body. great flavor. Excellent DIPA! For food, we shared the following: The Big Stump burger (3): It's a good burger. But if you compare with the gourmet burgers at the same price its just average. I liked that they toasted the bun. The garlic fries we got with it was good and crispy. The Big 5 Pizza (4.5): This was good! Super crispy crust. Nice and thin. Quality toppings. Their pizza's are probably where its at here. Sequoia Side Salad (3.5): We just got back from a week in the forest so this was refreshing but I don't think it was anything super spectacular. Still a good compliment though. Our server was quick and efficient so no complaints there. We had a good experience and the food and beer were decent.

We aren't ever disappointed here. The drinks are cold, the food is hot and the atmosphere is always upbeat. From their burgers, to the pastas, appetizers and ribs, we are always pleased. Tonight we had Gabriel and he was extremely attentive,, friendly and just on it. We will be back. Thanks Gabriel for the great service!

My attempt to eat at every restaurant on Main Street continues. Another very nice local pub. Too bad it's lunch time I cannot try their extensive beer collection. I walked in just before noon, the place was mostly empty. I ordered the club sandwich and the food came fast. This is a club sandwich on steroids. 3 kinds of cold cuts, beef, chicken, and turkey, plus crispy bacon, and a nice sour dough sandwich. Very tasty and I did not leave hungry. I need to come back and try the beer!

We have always loved Sequoia Brewery! Sometimes it can be crowded, but please don't let that discourage you from patronizing this fantastic family friendly place! Their alcohol selection is awesome and so many beers on tap! The images don't do justice but I'll torture you all with some delicious food! We can't wait to come back!

Came here with a group of 7 around 8pm and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly! She was consistently refilling waters and checking on us which was nice! I personally didn't order any drinks so I can really only speak on their food. I got their spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries and it was pretty dang good. No complains. Solid chicken sammy!!! My favorite type of fry are the mcdonald's skinny type of fry and this place does exactly that! They were crisp and perfectly salted. I really enjoyed it!

Got there around 830 Service was great, friendly staff. Got our food within 20 minutes. Pretty busy night . Everything was good but they brought my fries cold the first time. Second time around they could of warmed them up longer or gave me a new batch and leave me my steak to eat

Probably the best steak I've had since moving up here. Great selection of IPA's and a variety of beers on tap. Service is top notch. Gilbert was phenomenal on his attention to detail, knowledge and overall customer service!!

I am writing this review on day 5 of our vacation in Cali. We yelped this place on day 1 and we are still talking about this place. We loved this place. This is a cute spot with a cool vibe. Gilbert was awesome! Friendly, personable and attentive. Food came out quick and we loved every bite!!! Beer was good and two of us ordered a Moscow Mule. Gilbert advised the Ginger Beer was home made in house. It was so good!! I wish I got another one. Our only regret was that we were only spending one night in Visalia before heading out to the National parks. Otherwise we would have went there again.

Everything was great. We had a great server, Matt. He doesn't look old enough to drink but he is very knowledgeable about the beers and IPAs. We got a flight first with the Famously Herbaceous Calamaris. Quite delicious! The entrees were yummy. The burger was fantastic. ingredients fresh!

This had been by far the most frustrating experience dinning out all year, and my family and I have been eating out A LOT because our first floor and kitchen has been been under construction for 5 months. So us eating out everyday is fair to say. It pains me to give this place one star because I loved it here and I love their Fresno location, and I RARELY give one start reviews. First we get there and are seated, took a little while to get our drink order but it wasn't crazy long that it was annoying, just something we noticed. We get our drinks and we only get half our drinks but one of my daughters drink is in a kids cup with a lid and the other is in a mug, but our waitress leaves to go take the other table's order. That should have been a sign that we should have left because our waitress was overworked and overwhelmed. She comes to take our order and disappear for 30 minutes and brings us our utensils and napkins, and we think we are getting our food soon, we do not for another 30 minutes. Mind you our kids are crying and it's almost 8 pm. We got there at 6:50 and I know this because at 7:57 we check our car dash cam to see when we got there. Our kids are crying 3 different times because they are hungry and the phone stopped distracting them. Another waitress came and informed us that our food was next and I realized they haven't made our food yet and we asked for the check, and the hosted told us it's coming and he saw my pasta. Next someone who I think is the manger tries to tell us something, but at the same time BOTH our kids are crying and I stopped him mid sentence and say both kids are crying and I'm about to cry, I just want the check and he said okay. Our waitress apologies and tells us it's been like this all night and she offered to pack the kids food for us because she definitely was feeling sorry for us because both kids are still crying. We declined and thanked her and assured her it was not her fault. I think experience was bad because the kids were crying and hungry and and the restaurant was obviously overwhelmed and couldn't handle the amount of people there. It's also our kids school night and they are tired and hungry. I really wished they would have let us know that the kitchen was backed up so we could have decided on another option or stayed since we had young kids 6 and 4 years old. I wouldn't have been as annoyed if was just a date night and we were having a beer and apps...

I really enjoyed the beer here! It was so light and crisp and it was so good. I wish I bought some. Philly cheesesteak was also very delicious and highly recommend Only reason for the 4 star is my partner had the vegetarian sandwich and it was just tomatoes, lettuce, avocado in wheat bread. Overall enjoyed the quick service on the way to sequoia national park.

Can't say enough good things about the food. Highly recommend the pasta and pizza. Service is excellent and well attentive. Family friendly environment and kids love the fries. Go eat at sequoia brewing company now!! You won't be disappointed I promise

    Hazelwood Trail Veggie Sandwich
    Ashley F.

We stopped in at Sequoia Brewing on our trip to the national park for a quick bite. The drinks were pretty good, but the food was what made this a 2-star rating. We started with their "famous" fried pickles, which started off decent but found some of them cold and the fried batter was raw on some of them... my boyfriend ordered a quesadilla which he said was okay, but I ordered the veggie sandwich. Granted this is a brewery I really wasn't expecting much from a $14 veggie sandwich. This was by far the worst sandwich I've had... there was no sauce or anything with flavor; it had 1 single piece of lettuce, 1 slice of tomato, tons of cucumber slices, huge chunky slices of raw red onion, and avocado (the redeeming quality). Everything was stacked in one spot on the bread making it very difficult to eat, I had to take apart the sandwich and remake it to make it easier to eat. The waitress was very friendly and attentive which was the only positive to our meal. If you're looking at dining here I would highly recommend another brewery nearby.

They have a beautiful still and the distillery and brewery equipment are all on display alongside the restaurant and bar. Fairly typical small town bar & grill layout. On this day, we ordered at the bar. I'm not sure if that's always the case. We got a variety of entrees and all six of us liked our meals. Tri-tip steak sandwich, French Dip, tacos, fish and chips, and I got frog legs and deviled eggs from the apps menu. Everything was tasty. However, they only had 3 of their own beers on tap and no tastings available of their spirits. Said their brewer and distiller hadn't been in for quite awhile so production was behind. I wish them well as they work thru their absences and ailments. The two beers I tried, a porter and a schwarzbier, were ok. So, right now, it's a fine eatery, but a disappointing brewery & distillery.

The owner needs to do better when it comes to service." My wife and I have been here six or seven times and have noticed the service has been steadily going downhill. This place was empty, and the server behind the bar was accommodating when there wasn't anything more pressing, like answering the phone. Our party of four ordered four entrees, two appetizers, and some beer and sodas. My beer flight and my wife's beer came out lukewarm. When the appetizers came out with the meal, the server told me that if I wanted the appetizers before the entrees, I should have told her when I placed the order. (She didn't bother to ask when I wanted them.) She doesn't seem to understand that an appetizer is a dish of food served before the main course of a meal to stimulate one's appetite. My sides of tater tots were so cold, I took them back to the counter to get reheated. I was very disappointed in my Tuesday lunch. Hopefully, you will have better luck than us.

It's still dark, with dark wood tables -- a very old-school bar in the best possible way. It had been so many years that I didn't recognize any servers, but the woman who served us was very friendly, prompt and attentive. We sat at a small table for two in the bar, and we each ordered a drink (beer for him, cider for me) and we split a full order of nachos. They also brought us water without asking which was a very nice touch. Our drinks were good (mine was in a can, so it was exactly as expected). Husband ordered a dark draft beer that he enjoyed. The nachos were good. It was a generous serving and we liked how the meat was thoroughly cooked and we also liked how the chips didn't get soggy. One thing we both noticed is that there was a real shortage of cheese on the nachos, and we both feel like that's a crucial nacho ingredient: we would have liked a significant amount more cheese. Prices were quite fair for what we got. Anyway... it was a real nostalgic trip into 'Stones and we enjoyed it: we'll be back.

Random Valentine's day dinner…read more I never expect to go out on Vday, simply because I hate the crowds and how busy it generally is everywhere-- Nonetheless, it's always nice when my bf surprises me with plans! He made reservations so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. I have been here once before, a verrrrry long time ago but only for the bar, I'm sure. Back when I was bar hopping in my twenties. Never dined here. It was definitely set to be... moody? Very dimly lit, which I don't mind. I love being in darkness lol however, there were a bunch of much older customers dining there and I saw a couple of them shine their flashlight from their phones to see the menu better. They had a decent amount of seats inside and I believe there were some outside too. Our waitress was very spunky and friendly... we liked her. He ordered the Pork Chops (extra crispy), side salad. I ordered the Pesto Ravioli, with I think... Chicken Gazpacho(?) Soup? Something like that. If you can get passed the very thick, chummy texture... it was actually pretty good-- kind of like Clam Chowder? Anyway, he really liked his salad. He thinks all salads should come with raisins lol. He enjoyed his pork Chops-- however, they were not extra crispy like he asked. The rice pilaf that came with the plate wasn't the best, neither of us cared for it (and I normally loveee rice pilaf). The winner on his dish? I think it was the veggies (to me) it was cooked and flavored perfectly. My Raviolis were good, the tomato cream sauce over them was the right touch. Oh, I almost forgot... they gave us a basket of bread and butter (forgot to snap a pic)... I've gotta say, this was probably one of the worst bread I've ever received from a restaurant. We both agreed it seemed like very old bread, it broke apart very easily and felt stale upon biting. The butter didn't help it much either. We normally finish bread baskets-- we only touched the two pieces we tried and that was it... shame. For drinks, he got a beer and I got a pomegranate margarita. Beer is beer to him, as long as it's good. My margarita was good but it definitely was like a more watered-down version I remember getting back when I didn't know (or could afford) quality drinks. I used to pay for margs like that for $3 at Applebee's. Anywho, overall experience wasn't bad. It wouldn't be my first dining/bar choice but I wouldn't be opposed to returning.
