Service is typically good. I hate those bright lights shining down on some of the tables. The food it was it is. Let's call it what it is, upscale fast food. I typically go to the combo for $10 where you can get a drink, soup or salad and an entree (typically I grab a burger, not the best or worst). They got my Brisket Quesadillas wrong and gave me ribs but The Manager personally came & apologized. The Waitress was new but she was so good. There was a 25 mins wait so we decided to go to target but got a txt within 10 mins that our table was ready. We have been here multiple times. We ordered the 2 for $25. We ordered chips& salsa for appetizers, for entree we got just bacon burger and crispy chicken crunchers, and chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Wow!! What a disaster at Chili's!!! First, once we decided what to order, we couldn't find our server. Then she never brought our chips and salsa until we reminded her 10 minutes later. Then after 35 minutes of waiting for our food and watching tables that came in 20 minutes after us being served, we got our server's attention and asked if there was an issue with our food. She went to check and came back telling us that my fajitas were giving to another table and they were remaking our entire order because my wife's steak was sitting for a long time. Moments later the food arrived. They didn't make my wife's steak over, they just through it on the grill again and over cooked it. It was well done, not medium as requested. It was too cooked for my wife to eat. Our server went and got the manager, who began making up some story about the computer malfunctioning and not printing all the orders. He wouldn't let us speak. Finally, I was able to tell him that the server informed us that my food was given to another table. He back peddled and said he was in the back cooking and wasn't aware of exactly what happened. So why lie and say your computer malfunctioned. He was trying to talk my wife out of getting a new steak by stating it's gonna take some time if I throw another steak on for you. At least three times my wife told him yes, I want another steak, cause I have to eat tonight! He returned about 10 minutes later, with a new steak, we are now at about the one hour mark. This steak was not cooked enough and although my wife told him it was good, it wasn't. She ate about a third of it, said it was making her feel sick. The only thing that I can say positive was that he took both our meals off the check. We left a tip for the server and even contemplated not leaving a tip, but would feel bad to not leave anything, even though she was not great. We haven't been to a Chili's in some time. We had an ok meal at the one on freehold and had hoped this one was better, but it wasn't. Will never eat at a Chili's again. read more

Chili's is a great spot to go to because you know exactly the quality of food you're going to get. Recommend getting one of their monthly $5 margaritas, always worth the price. Only issue I ever had was sometimes service can be a little slow so allow yourself time. But highly recommend getting the chicken quesadilla explosion salad, ask for a little extra dressing to dip your cheese quesadilla in or $2 extra for shrimp! It's the best. Also love the fajitas you can taste the freshness for a chain restaurant. read more

Went to chilis for the first time tonight with my mom as we were in the area. We had a very sweet waitress who was readily available and checked up on us an appropriate amount of times. I had the Deep Eddy's watermelon cooler which was amazing. My mom and I did the 2 for $22 special, which we shared the blossom petals appetizer. This was similar to the blooming onion at outback, just with the pieces separated. We both had the bacon burger, which was okay but very greasy. Since I'm a rewards member, we received a free chips and salsa along with our meal. Together the bill was $30 after the discount. Overall, I would come here again but it really is just typical chain restaurant food. read more

This was the worst meal I have had. We went to many Chili's in Northern NJ but we moved down here a few months ago. My steak (Ribeye) taste funny and was not tender at all. The loaded mashed potatoes were cold and the broccoli tasted like it was sitting in salt water for hours. Allison our server wasn't seen again until she came at the end. I couldn't even eat the steak. On a brighter side, the cheese curds were very good. My wife's chicken Tex Mex bowl was very good. As I'm writing this review I am in the bathroom feeling sick. Ohhhhhh and the restaurant has Direct TV. Every few minutes they would loose the signal. Hard to watch sports when the TV freezes up and then shows " lost signal". Seriously????? This is 2022 !!! Disappointed. These places because of the pandemic have gotten so weak cutting hours so short. Went over to Chili's Toms River at 10 PM because their schedule says they're open till 11 o'clock. There were people at the bar and tables. I pulled on the door and it was locked. I called the restaurant and asked if they were open from outside and they said they just called last call and locked the door while people are inside eating and drinking. That is ludicrous. You can tell there's no leadership there because their front sign light has been out for months and no one seems to want to fix it. read more

We went yet again and again it was great. Normally I don't get something I can easily make at home, but their Old Timer cheddar cheeseburger is the BEST burger I've ever had. Anywhere. Angus, wagyu, short rib, I've had them all and this is the best. Works best with mustard. My wife's Big mouth crispy chicken sandwich. She also believes it's the best chicken sandwich she's ever had. We ordered food while on a dinner break at work to be delivered. 2 salads, a bow of chili and a burger. The person who had the burger said it was delicious. However the salads were horrendous. Wilted soggy lettuce, brown Avocados, chicken that tasted like plastic, after 2 bites we threw them out. The $5 bowl of chili ended up as a cup of some brown thick slush, was definitely not chili in any form, the cup was barely filled and even that was thrown out, as we couldn't even decipher what it was. We work in a secure facility and are not able to go out for meals, so we didn't have dinner that night. What a waste of almost $40. read more

Was there last week and the outside is very drab nowadays, weather worn. Inside is clean and nicely decorated, staff seems friendly and attentive. BUT, there is literally only ONE fish entree to choose from !!? Plenty of shrimp dishes , chicken,beef, but just ONE salmon dish, so we left because even their salads has SOME type of meat in them!!! So if you are vegan or vegetarian OR a devout Catholic that observes lent on Fridays, this is a very bad and disappointing choice. I have never seen a restaurant that is so insensitive to those groups of diners. So we left and went to Bahama Breeze where they had a very large selection of fish dishes. Container is not big as it is, so I end up eating a very dry salad. Seriously Chili's, is there like a supply shortage going on in the world with salad dressing? Came here after a relaxing day for some dessert. Had the salted caramel molten cake. It is moist cake, carved out in the middle where they add a scoop of ice cream. Topped off with caramel, tons of crunchiness and the salt. It is warm on the inside and cold on the outside. It is just the perfect combination. I believe they might just have it for the fall/winter season since they seem to change it depending on the season. The order didn't take long and the bill can easily be paid right on the little device on the table. If you frequent chili's make sure to make an account and link it with plenty. i was denied service at the bar for not having 2 IDs because I had a New York Drivers License. The bartender seemingly had not seen one before, had to flip through a book of state IDs and i guess mine didn't match the example in the book. The manager swears that NJ requires two IDs when it's an out of state ID, he goes everywhere with his ID and Social Security Card, deeming that to be sufficient ID and that "we like our liquor license, thank you." A Social does not have a photo, date of birth and it is NOT an Identification. needless to say I was irritated and don't intend on coming here unless i have my passport. also because they clearly expect you to bring a passport to NEW JERSEY! I'm 32, there's no reason for my ID to be no good at a franchise. the only difference between me and the other patrons (including a british guy) was that i wasn't white. stating the obvious. read more

First of all this place should remove their reservation option off of Yelp if it is as they claim "not up to date". Made a reservation for 6 plus a high chair at 5:13pm. The stated wait time was 45 minutes. We arrived on time and were told it would be a longer wait time. After an hour more of waiting we were told that they didn't realize we had a "7th" person. Even tho the 7th person was a child under 1. As per chili's policy they don't seat more than 6 people together. Now since we were gonna be split up they could seat us faster. So after an hour and a half of waiting we finally got a seat. I usually opt for the fajitas meal but decided to try their new BBQ special. It came with a half order of ribs, sausage, fries and a Mexican street corn. Other than the corn everything else was total garbage. The BBQ ribs were bone dry and full of fat. The sausage was def undercooked and was stuffed with cheese. I'm fully aware that restaurants are staffed at minimum capacity and everyone is trying their best but somethings need to be fixed or you may as well stay closed. I could have saved myself the money and cooked for myself. Piece of advice for the management, update your wait times and reservation process on 3rd party sites and change your indoor dining guidelines to reflect actual state guidelines. read more
