On a pretty busy Saturday night, other than taking a bit longer than it should have to get our drinks-service was great-food was amazing-everything everyone ordered was delicious! We have wanted to try this place for sometime and finally decided to do this on a Saturday afternoon, yesterday. I don't know how old the restaurant is, but I believe it's relatively new as it looks very clean, modern, has very high ceilings and a modern rustic type of feel. There are steel beams in the ceiling to the floor. The flooring is a warm laminate wood. They have booths, tables and a nice bar area. The dining room also has windows with natural lighting and also lights that come down to each table. We are greeted by our waiter and sat, he was friendly and attentive. The only thing that was odd, he didn't check to see if our main courses came ok. But overall, we really liked this restaurant. They have a very eclectic menu. We shared the Bavarian pretzel, the mustard and the beer cheese were excellent. I had the Tuscanwich with breaded eggplant. It also comes with broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and house made mozzarella on Joe Leone's bread. It was awesome. It also comes with housemaid potato chips, which were excellent. My wife had the Smashburger with sweet potato fries. She said it was amazing. I had a Franzeskonner beer, which is very hard to find so I was very happy about that. My wife had a winter tequila cocktail, which looked beautiful and also tasted great. We passed on dessert, but we will definitely be back. They also have other really great entrées. Who ever designed this place hopefully it was there last. The bar is way too small. The bartender not only has to wait on ppl at the bar but also the people at the booth and those hi-top tables, that makes no sense. We waited 10 minutes for our drinks. The dining area on most nights is empty by 8:00. Why the owner didn't put the bar in the middle is a mystery. Never any entertainment like singo or small 2 piece. The vey changed the menu so many times you never know what to expect. For the area they definitely forgot where they are. Prices are insane. read more

There's no need for the music to be absolutely blaring. Its a restaurant not a club. The service by the bar is INSANELY SLOW. They clearly need a server there and not the bartender. That's absurd. Ordered a burger and was charged for extra sauce, ridiculius considering it was maybe a teaspoon extra. Get a waitress over there for those 4 booths. Let me start by saying it's very nicely decorated, and all the staff members were beyond helpful. Small parking lot shared with a busy liquor store, so took a while to park. 25 minute wait for a table. Its front door was constantly open so it was cold inside. Tables are close and it's so loud, we couldn't hear each other. We had warm bread with honey butter, which was amazing.Heres where it went down hill... smash burger on a Joe Leone bun, sounded delicious but smelled bad, like rotting meat- not flavored and tasted horrible. So couldn't finish. The onion rings were delicious. Eggplant sandwich had no flavor and was actually so bad my daughter wouldn't eat it. What started as a nice evening dinner it developed into a horrible night. After a nice dinner I moved to the bar. All was going great until a very horrible bartender denied me service for no true reason. Maybe this restaurant discriminates against people that are different than whites. Great Casual Dining, Reasonable Prices My wife and I had a suprisingly good meal at 37 Eats (on route 37 in Toms River). She had a faro salad with lots of yummy toppings, and I had the half rack of ribs (at $18 an amazing value). The beer list is limited but satisfactory, and the selection rotates seasonally. The decor is urban (unfinished ceiling, exposed ventilation) but it was not overly noisy. The service was competent and reasonably attentive. We are eager to go back. read more

Wow, What a gem in Tom's River! The food was amazing! The hummus appetizer was fresh and delicious. The orecchiette pasta dish was so gooood- the portion size was huge, more than enough for 3-4 meals. The chicken was moist - yumm. The service is EXCELLENT! Milk bread came out charred. Calamari was overwhelmingly fishy. French Onion soup lacked the cheese that all restaurants deliver. Barely saw my waitress all night. My friend's pizza took incredibly long to come out. By the time it came out, everyone was finished eating. And from the minute I got my burger the bottom bun was absolutely saturated. I feel like I need to repeat that I barely saw my waitress, my table had a lot of unfulfilled orders. A tip from me is to add ice to the bottles of room temp water on the tables. The prime rib sub was the best. Have only one other place that used prime ribs over sliced steak. could not have been any better. The house made chips were also excellent. The shrimp dish came with aa decent amount of shrimp in a broth of wine, butter & GARLIC & 4 sliced of ciabatta bread for dipping as well as a much apricated spoon for trying to finish off the broth. Service was friendly and professional. Ambiance was casual with some usual fixtures. Had enough to keep the bar crowd happy but quiet enough to keep others happy. The menu was brief but varied enough to pleas everyone. The beer menu was , to me, varied with a lot of smaller brands. The mixed drinks had several standards as well as a nice variety of original adaptations. 35 EATS is one of two restaurants along the stretch of 35 that i would frequent on a regular basses. read more

Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was less than half full. We ordered the calamari appetizer, fish and chips, a burger and the "bon chovy" pizza. We waited a full hour for our food to arrive. The waitress kept avoiding our table and after about 45 minutes tried telling us that the kitchen was short staffed but the people in the booth behind us arrived 20 minutes after us and were finished eating before our food arrived. Probably would have given 4 stars for the food but the poor service spoiled the whole experience. There are several other options in the area. Probably will not return. read more

Been to 37 Eats several times now. Very enjoyable every time. The staff is great and the food is delicious. It's a limited menu but a nice selection to choose from. The burgers are great. The chicken sandwich delicious. French fries are real good and their French dip sandwich was one of the best I've had. Definitely recommend giving it a try. It's a great casual local place.
