First issue with this restaurant- tried to order delivery for a large party (10 of us) on Door dash. Nope, can't do orders over $150 through door dash (which might be door dash itself that stops this but I don't know who's fault that is). Figured it's only 5 minutes away, I'll call it in and pick it up. Call the order in after ten people made their decisions. As I'm ordering the first meal, I'm told that is no longer on the new menu. Ok, let me look up your new menu on your site. Oh I'm sorry, even though that one is different from the one on door dash, it's not the right menu. Ugh! Ok, we'll just get more of the same things that we know you have. Food was made rather quickly, but I was not at all happy with the food. 3 steaks were ordered with 2 medium and one medium rare. All three came to us well done and under seasoned. I added salt and butter to mine but ended up eating only half as I was annoyed by this point. 3 chicken franchaise were ordered. They were decent, but two came without pasta because garlic bread was ordered and became their side ‍ The wings were ok but none of it was anything to write home about. I absolutely do not like giving negative reviews, but I was less than happy that I spent over $200 on a meal that I could have made better for less. read more

I went here for a surprise birthday party for my friend John Ryan. I must say the staff was friendly and the food shocked me how good it was. I wish the beer was colder but it was a temp bar in the back so it wasn't iced very long. But I got one from front bar and it was delicious. It's a little far for me ( I live in Hazlet )but don't let the appearance of the place throw you off. It's very nice and the food was very well prepared. I recommend a try. I have gone here for dinner a few times now and it has been good each time. I am surprised each time I go that there are not more people eating there. They have an excellent salad bar that also has pretty good soup and fresh rolls. That alone is worth a try and the meals I have had there were good as well. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. The outside looks a bit dumpy but when you walk in you will be surprised how nice it is. The dinning area is clean and it looks like it may have been recently renovated. The prices are fair and if you go for the salad bar only it is a great deal. Can't speak for the package store or the banquet hall...but I came in for lunch and the food was amazing! Service by two very nice ladies as I sat at the bar. They were great engaging with everyone sitting at the bar. I ate a buffalo chicken sandwich on the lunch menu. It was too spicy and the chicken was juicy. I have to give this place 5 stars based primarily on their banquet facilities. I had my daughter sweet 16 here a few years ago and the manager went above and beyond to accommodate our every whim. We at first reserved two sections of the hall because are expected guest list was only 80. Well when we wound up with 120 without a second thought he gave us the entire Hall. Because it was a sweet 16 an open bar was not an option and I was having the cake made outside hso he took $5 off per person making our cost just 21.95 per person. we were able to choose 10 items off the menu which has changed since then. Everything that we chose was delicious. We had chicken francese, penne vodka, green beans, rice pilaf, salmon, pork and gravy, sausage peppers and onions, two different green salad, and potato puffs. He allowed us to arrive several hours prior to decorate the hall. Because her colors were black and gold they alternated each place setting making it look very elegant. Since then we have used them several times for catered parties. The restaurant seems like it's from a different place all together. Their prime rib is quite good and there Clams Casino is one of our favorites in the area. I'm not a super fan of the restaurant area but we have frequented the bar for appetizers and drinks. They do have a limited beer selection and primarily cater to the usuals, Miller, bud, Coors. Other than that we visit yesterday's restaurant several times throughout the year. read more

Food is subpar. Best part is they have a coupon on their website $5 off next check over $30 is coupon is presented. I presented the coupon on my phone and boss would not honor. He said it's only if it's printed out. When I advised that no where on the coupon it said the coupon had to be printed out they still refused to accept the coupon. Now I know why this place is empty. We attended a wedding reception last evening at Yesterday's in Bayville. The venue was appropriately decorated and spacious. Space between the tables was comfortable enough for guests to move around the room -- there was at least 100 guests in attendance. Adequate space for the DJ and dancing. Restrooms were clean and roomy. Ample parking lot. Location was easy to find and the building was well-marked. The food was pleasantly above average for a buffet -- salad, pasta in vodka sauce, chicken marsala, meatballs, as well as a few more dishes that I didn't have room on my plate for. Chicken was tender and tasted wonderful! Meatballs had just the right amount of spice and marinara. Vodka sauce was light and pasta was al dente. There was plenty of food to feed everyone -- empty trays were quickly replaced with full ones, and many guests went back for second helpings. There was no open bar provided at this particular wedding by the bridal party, but we were able to purchase drinks in the restaurant bar conveniently located right next to the banquet room and bring them back to our table. The bartender was friendly and accomodating, as was the entire wait staff. I would recommend Yesterday's to anyone looking for a local wedding or party venue. Was excited to try this place being we were camping down the road in Cedar Creek. Went up to the bar and sat and introduced ourselves to the Bartender. This was Saturday night, she said quote "Don't bother telling me your names I wont remember" completely rude, she must of forgot she works for tips. Ordered dinner which she never told us included the salad bar and continued to be rude and unprofessional threw out dinner. The food was all frozen and nasty. The poor owner of this restaurant Yesterdays will not have a tomorrow with the terrible attitude of his employees and nasty food. We should of realized something was wrong when the place was empty on a Saturday night!!!!! read more

My husband and I went here yesterday for a late lunch. This is the first time we were here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The food is very good, salad bar comes with your meal and the beers are cheap. Our server (who was also the bar tender) was very friendly and the service was great. Just came from Yesterday's. We went for the Easter Sunday Brunch. We made reservations for 11am. We were promptly seated, but after about 15 minutes we had to asked to see a server. They had forgotten to assign us a server. It was all down hill from there. Once the sever came to the table it took 20 more minutes to get coffee and another 10 minutes after we received our coffee to get the creamer, thank God it was self serve for the food. The buffet lacked any sign letting you know what was under each lid, but it wasn't hard once you went thur the line because there were only 7 containers to choose from. I am sorry we choose this place and will never return. I think for the price we paid more items should have been on the buffet and the staff needs to be more attentive. read more

Honestly this deserves 0 stars. I went here for a family party so I had the chance to taste a variety of different foods. The penna volka was bland, chicken parm tasted like a chicken finger which would explain the size of it. And the mozzarella and sauce on top tasted like they were store bought. Honestly I could make a better salad than they did. Actually, I felt I could make all the food I had better than them. I gave my son a surprise 30th birthday party a few weeks ago for 46 people and it went so well. The place is very clean and the bathrooms were spotless and smelled good. I was able to decorate and had balloon center pieces delivered. There was plenty of room for my guesses and was nice and cool for a hot summer night. The price was good and I had 8 selections to make for the buffet. Beer and wine were included. All my guest said the food was excellent and the beer was nice and cold. The service was wonderful and they couldn't do enough to make the party a happy one. The only thing I had a complaint about was the cake should have been all chocolate inside and wasn't . Other than that we all had a great time and my son was so surprised and happy. I would recommend Yesterday's to anyone for dinner or a large wedding ( they can hold up to 500 people ). read more
