This restaurant is not so close, so we don't dine here as often as I would like. Last Thursday evening we enjoyed delicious meals here. Service by Jason was very attentive. The ambiance is pleasant, though the place gets noisy when full. IB sells many wines at reasonable prices. We had a bottle of Italian Pinot Grigio for $21. Entrees come with soup or salad and two types of yummy bread. For entrees we ordered specials Seafood Riviera $29 and Salmon Scampi $27. Relish! If you haven't been to IB, try it you will be in for a treat! If you have been here and live relatively nearby, you probably have become a regular. read more

Been here on several occasions these past two years. NEVER a bad meal! Top service by friendly staff and Tremendous Food. I recommend Italys Best to EVERYONE.... Frank D Pittsburgh PA read more

It was decorated so nicely for Christmas!! The server was so kind but the service was so slow. Other tables were being sat, got their dinner and would leave before we got our appetizers and then it happened again while we waited for dinner. Not sure if they forgot to put our order in but I've never experienced a restaurant taking that long. It wasn't that packed! As for the food, the bacon wrapped scallops were yummy and the pasta fagioli soup was good. However, I did not enjoy the taste of the clams which I eat often. Not sure if I got a yucky one. The menu had veal sorrentino but I'm not a big veal fan so asked for them to switch it to chicken and they accommodated that with no issue. But the sauce wasn't very flavorful. I was in the area but not sure that I'd come back due to the overall experience. read more

We like the restaurant because it is old school Italian SADLY you can't get any seafood no choices only shrimp and the sauce is very bland I'm a cook and they really should change there sauce, weather it is meatballs in sauce or seafood in red sauce the sauce tastes the same We only go because it is close otherwise we would not go and sadly there is no Italian restaurant near by read more

The place is unassuming when you walk in as it has a pizzeria look on the front bit a very nice dinning room in the back, I was a party of 3. We had the pasta fagioli and was delicious for entrée we had veal saltimbucca, lobster ravioli and chicken parmesan all was delicious.. I and I have to say the cannoli was the best I have had in a LONG time you can actually taste the ricotta so you know it's fresh.. nice casual atmosphere great service.. read more

Great tasting food, generous portions at a good price. Highly recommend the garlic knots!

Great, food, service and Catering. Love going there with work people and friends and family.

Excellent food and service. We ( our multiple generations) have been going to Italy's Best for 20+ years!! We have found the food to be consistently delicious, generous portions and reasonably priced even on holidays! The only thing that could use an upgrade ( for me) is their Cappuccino! I like a foamy top ( not whipped cream) and a little stronger coffee. Their desserts are delicious too. They recently gave the restaurant an interior update by painting, adding new drapes, table linens etc. Don't be fooled by the "Pizzeria exterior " as it is deceiving. They have a huge following of regular customers and are setup to handle groups. The staff are trained to handle it all and have worked there for a while. read more

I would go there every day if I could. The food is great and always consistent. The staff are very friendly. It is an overall great experience to go there. read more

We order from Italy's best all the time. Today we called, and were rudely told they dont deliver to us (?), They only go to Northhampton, but we are two blocks away from that street. When this person was informed of the above, he hung up on us. I dont know what happend to this place, but it has gone downhill. There was no reason to be rude, or to hang up. We wont be calling them again read more

Good food staff are great I will go back again . I will tell to go to friends and family

We were a party of 5 , enjoyed 5 different dinners..service was great ...we'll definitely be back!!!

Even with the new owners and all the things that I read on line the wife and I loved it. Food still great, the bread they give you still tastes great. Service was awesome. Love this place read more

First off it's a pizzeria that thinks it's a high-end Italian Which it definitely is not these are not pizzeria prices and if you want to charge the higher prices, you should have proper bread, not dough you cooked in your pizza oven soup was watery and not very good. Both are entrées were actually very tasty but overpriced for the ambience and. Poor Service if you're charging close to $30 for chicken Parm, you should have a cheese grater and a pepper grater not powdered Parmesan cheese in a bottle. read more

I had a great experience here as a member of a large party! The food was surprisingly good because this place from the outside seems like a cookie cutter Italian pizza joint. I am picky about having my eggplant cooked all the way through, but I was so happy with my eggplant parm that was perfectly crispy! The service was also attentive and very child/family friendly. I would be happy to come back again if I return to the area! read more

Italy's Best - Eggplant parm - Pizza Near Me - Lakehurst, New Jersey

Came her with my mom, wife, and kids ages 19 and 15. We had been here before but it has been a while. The place itself is very unassuming. In a strip mall, half the place is old school Pizza and the other half is restaurant. We sat in the restaurant and had a great time. We started with salads and I had the pasta facile. Loved all Of it, but it was a lot of soup! For mIn courses i had the rigatoni Sicilian which came with eggplant. My wife had the chicken piccata. My mom had shrimp franchise, and the kids had Penne ala Vodka and the other Chicken Fingers. All wasGoods. The piccata and the pene ala vodka stood out. My rigatoni was good but needed more flavor. Add a glass or two of wine and it was a solid meal. Service was good, although they were busy. My main complaint is the decor. Plain room, good food. They need to amp up the decor. They really could have a special Place if they did that. Go here read more

Picky about my eggplant and meatballs and bread for subs and this place rates a 10+ on all 3! Perfect for a party of 2 or 42. And they have a bar!! Wish they delivered to Toms River! :( read more

A favorite for years, whether dining or taking out. The food is great and, especially for me, the chicken parm (my favorite) is the best I've ever had and that includes my many years living in NY. The staff and service are A+ and the owner is present to make sure each patron is happy, making it an extra-special dining experience. Whenever I have guests from out of town, this is our go-to place. read more

Food is fabulous and has been for the many years I've been frequenting it! I've gone for lunch, picked up to take home, and arranged and attended parties for different events for many of the 30+ years that I worked on the naval base. read more

We walked in thinking this was a pizza place, nope! I pizza place and full restaurant! They have slices up front then a huge restaurant in the back. It's pretty good Italian food. 4 stars for very slow service and not the most traditional Italian but nonetheless, a great spot that you won't be disappointed by. The slices and bread service are the MVP in my eyes. They have all the slices you could want from traditional to the different Jersey styles {salad pizza!} My husband loved the cheesesteak slice! Very accessible and lots of parking! read more

Italy's Best in Lakehurst NJ is the best kept. The store front is very unassuming but don't let that keep you from going in. Its clean and staff is always welcoming. Food and cocktails are awesome. The calamari is perfect and veal is cooked to perfection. Cannot wait to go back. read more

Unfortunately I did not like Italys best Italian dishes. However, They do have very good pizza and bread but the chef really could use a lesson from an Italian person on how to cook these dishes... came to dine in around October 20th 2024. Dinner entrées come with your choice of soup or salad and they bring fresh bread to the table with butter which was soft and warm very good! The salad was also pretty good. It came w onions, tomatoes, cucumbers it was fresh no complaints. Besides they do not have balsamic vinaigrette. The food didn't take very long and came out shortly after the salads were taken away. I ordered manicotti except I asked for vodka sauce instead of just red sauce. I came out covered in melted cheese with huge sundried tomatoes and a ton of onions! I get onions are in sauce but this was huge chunks of onions no where's did it mention that or the sundried tomatoes but no biggie so I started to pick them aside and cut a piece of my pasta (which comes filled with ricotta cheese and should have Italian seasoning)... I have no idea what filling they use but it's not a standard Italian one. The filling is so sweet, covered in all this cheese it totally killed the dish. I was able to get down half of one and couldn't eat anymore it started to resemble an omelette to me and was grossing me out. I was so disappointed. My son also got baked ziti almost the same filling inside that we threw it all away. Total waste of money... very disappointing the other people in our party that got subs or pizza said they liked their food so I would steer clear of the dishes and just get pizza or subs. read more

Great pizza delivered in a timely manner. Going to try Sausage with pasta now. I have Emilio's right down the street but Italy's best is so much better! read more

It was loud for the few tables there, asked what dressing we would like for our salad we never got, calamari was under cooked and chewy, my pasta dish instead of sauce had scalding water, my wife had the vegetable instead of the pasta, she needed a chain saw to cut the log if broccoli she got, not once were we asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything. We used to have family functions there, no more, heard the original owners sold and it shows read more

Great service. The food is consistently excellent. I like the casual atmosphere. Reasonable prices you can't go wrong.

Great Food love it Favourite place to get food with family and friends. No complaints here Order all the time

Place is always great! My go to for take out also the most affordable catering menu in the area u won't be disappointed

Worst pizza, you can choke on the cheese and the dough is chewy and tasteless, ugly setting in a strip mall praying a car doesn't drive through the glass and kill you! And the kicker,a lg pie is $16.95 if you eat it at the table they charge you $18.95?? Never heard of anything more absurd in my life! Will never be back! read more
