Ice box cake
Heather K.

Coming from a New Jersey Italian family, Italian restaurants are usually a let down but this place far exceeded my expectations. It felt like having Sunday dinner at my aunts house from start to finish, even having the special touch of ice box cake which was my late grandfather's favorite dessert and something I've never seen on a menu before. The House Salad is a must order as it is perfectly dressed with a great mix of antipast toppings. The shrimp francese were the best I've ever had, the batter was perfectly light and the sauce was lemon heavy and delicious. Our server Daniella was fabulous, so kind and attentive and made excellent recommendations. Looking forward to our next trip back!

AMAZING!! Everything about it... AMAZING! This is a family run restaurant and they definitely make you feel like you're part of it. Food was better than restaurants i've tried in Italy! Anything lower than 5 stars is criminal.

Surf and Turf

Our waiter was very attentive. Explained the specials very thoroughly. Even suggested things. We chose the surf and turf special which was $103 but enough for two. The strip steak was large, tender, and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The lobster tail was not large but was cooked perfectly. It also came with three huge broiled shrimp, homemade potatoe chips and broccoli rabe. Overall the portion was large, the quality of the product great, and the taste and cooking was spot on!

Breakin Bread was AMAZING! From the FANTASTIC food and the SUPERB service, this place is next level. They feed you the best food around town and make you feel like family too! You can just tell by the atmosphere that this is the place to be. If you're in seaside heights, this place is a must! Shoutout to PJ and the fam for giving us an amazing experience!

Love this spot! The food was delicious and service was excellent. We met the owner and chef who are dedicated to this restaurant. You can taste the love in the food. Thanks for a great experience!

Lemon ricotta cheese cake

Everything was perfect! My boyfriend and I sat outdoors, and the ambiance was perfect. Our server Robin was friendly and attentive. I ordered the oh my god pasta special and added shrimp. Maybe on the pricier side but so so delicious. The chicken parm is a classic, & was also very yummy. Ricotta cheesecake was light and perfect with some coffee. Glad we stumbled upon this place!

Amazing, amazing spot! Definitely need reservations and it's byob. The owner seated us and introduced himself to us right away. He was super friendly. Our waitress was with us right away as well to read off the specials. For apps, we got their meatballs and a special, truffle burrata. The truffle burrata was to die for - the sauce was amazing. We couldn't stop dipping our bread into it. For entrees we got penne vodka and shrimp parm, both phenomenal. It was my first time ever getting shrimp parm and I loved it! The ambience is super cute and updated. We weren't too close to the tables next to us. It's a small place, but they do well with the space provided. Will definitely be back!

The hostess sat us in the bar area, which was fine, but seemed an odd choice. Our waitress came over for a drink order before I had even picked up the menu. My wife quickly ordered the Ginger Minty Paloma and I had an Old Fashioned. Wifey's drink was amazing and tasted like 14 more. Mine was just ok, but when you drink them fairly regularly there's not much you can do to make them 'different.' We decided to just split our food. We ordered a Wedge Salad - they put a balsamic glaze on it and it was REALLY GOOD. This came very quickly. We split The Rocco Pizza - vodka sauce, cheese and pieces of fried chicken cutlet. Unfortunately, this was a miss for us. The taste was fine, but neither of us liked the crust and wasn't hot enough. Didn't seem like your normal 'brick oven pizza.' We also split a 'small plate' of linguini and clams. This was just ok as well. The fresh clams were great, but the others were pretty chewy. The whole plate also needed salt. Service was pleasant and fairly quick, but the food was overall just ok. The place itself looked like it would be pretty fun if I was in my 20s. There was a band setting up and I bet the place gets pretty loud.

The food here was actually pretty good- fresh, flavorful, and came out as expected. I ordered the…read morelamb chops with grits and I will say - the grits were the best I've ever had. The crowd was mostly over 60 which is nice since no kids were there but I'm 45 and it wasn't as lively as I would have liked. The bands playing were good too but the atmosphere felt a little flat. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. Not my cup of tea for hanging out but I'd go back for dinner.

We ordered the crab cake sliders , the lobster roll , and the shrimp cocktail . I also got a Heineken 0.0. Overall the meal was really good. We loved the bar atmosphere and being able to watch baseball while we ate. I enjoyed that there were also arcade games and things to do. My only reason for giving it 4 stars and not 5 was because of the lobster roll. The lobster meat itself was a little tough and the roll was a little soggy and not toasted up like we hoped for. But it was still okay. The sliders were delicious! And the shrimp were also pretty tasty. Service was phenomenal and we were seated right away. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop back in!

You're better off leaving because the lady will get snotty with you for being asking further questions about it. Left because of how we were treated, not because we couldn't be served. Edit: in response to the business owner, the reasoning she gave us was the color of the ID. If it were because of the DOB and she had expressed that, we would've gone to the car for our passports. Props to her for doing her job I guess?? So glad you support your rude employees!

It was not busy when we arrived, maybe 2-3 other tables. There seemed to be only one server who seemed to be hustling, but the wild part was the bartender. We all placed our drink orders and about 20 mins went by without any water or drinks. Meanwhile, the bartender was chatting to what seemed to be his friends stopping in. He was drinking a Truly can and dropped multiple glasses, so spent his time walking up and down the bar doing absolutely nothing. Eventually a margarita and warm blue moon were delivered, but we didn't order a margarita and still - no drinks for the rest of the party. Food was sub par and the whole experience was candidly miserable. I don't think I am even doing it justice as I can't relive it.

We decided to check it out and we are so happy we did! Jersey Roll is a bar and grill that was formerly Aztec Bar, and they allow leashed and friendly dogs inside and outside. The inside has bar seating and standard tables and the small outdoor deck provides views of the ferris wheel, amusements, and the bustling boardwalk. They are famous for their pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwiches and offer other breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, fat sandwiches, other delicious items, and a full bar is available to get your favorite drink. The staff is extremely friendly and we enjoyed talking to the manager, Rachel. She makes a mean cocktail. On the corner of the Boardwalk and Sherman Ave., it is easily located so you do not have to walk on the boardwalk for too long. Check their social media for current local summer hours.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE…read more My friends stopped by here to grab a quick, easy dinner after laying out on the beach. We were all craving different things, so Ace's seemed like an okay choice. It had a wide variety of items on their menu. My friend and I decided to split an order of fish & chips and an order of buffalo wings with onion rings. We initially ordered everything together and asked to split it two ways, but the waitress didn't really understand us, so we each ordered an entree and a soda. There was maybe a $0.50 difference between the the fish & chips and the wings & onion rings, but my order came out to be significantly more, so I asked the waitress why. She thought we had ordered 2 orders of buffalo wings and onion rings, but I clarified what we wanted. She started getting angry and said that we had never mentioned the fish and chips, but that was literally the first thing I ordered. She rolled her eyes and yelled at the cooks to change the order and asked my friend for $0.20 more because she had undercharged. The waitress seemed to not understand a single word of English. We asked for additional plates and hot sauce, but after each of these simple requests, she would give us a dirty look as if we were speaking Pig Latin. While we were eating, another customer also had similar issues with ordering and getting overcharged. It's not like we're asking for anything complex here -- the items are straight off the menu, and adding the prices is basic arithmetic! Food was terrible: all tasted like it was taken from the freezer and then deep fried for way too long. I also saw that they left their sausages out in the open all day (where it is sunny and warm) ... sounds like a recipe for some foodborne illnesses.
