Sunset Seafood of Seaside is a retail fish market and restaurant located on the edge of Seaside,…read moreOrtley and near the bridge to Tom's River. You can reach it by car or boat. There's a jet ski rental on the premises and a large enough parking lot. Prices are decent here for the cooked food. The retail fish market prices seemed a bit high to me. I ordered lunch takeout and things felt a little disjointed. I had to call a few times to get through to a person to place the order. Then upon pickup, I had to wander around inside to find someone who suggested that maybe I ordered from another location since they hadn't received any takeout orders. Then another guy told the girl that they did indeed receive a couple orders... And thankfully he had mine. There were only a few employees here. The traditional lobster roll was excellent. Good portion, very tasty and I loved the seasoned fries. The fish and chips treated a bit meh. The fish itself had a funny taste to it. My son liked his cheeseburger and I had the fried clam strips. It was about expected. The menu says they are fried littleneck clams, but they are indeed little strips. They're alright. It's hard to taste the clam either things as they're so small. Anyway, if you want a full, buttery lobster roll at a his price, I highly recommend it here. And, no credit card fee!

While it weighs between both boardwalk nostalgia and restaurant, it doesn't know exactly what it wants to be and leans toward both. Parking is, as parking usually is on the boardwalk, difficult. The pasta is genuinely good, and the service is okay with decent outdoor seating, I believe it's one of a kind on the boardwalk and in Seaside Heights. I appreciate it for what it is, and it saved us for dinner nearby. I definitely recommend it. The menu is one page, great for not having to flip through pages of mediocre food. The dessert was also really good. Lovely place, it's not the most fancy, but it genuinely has decent beach vibes.

We were pleasantly surprised to find Klee's Bar and Grill open. We were seated and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She brought our drinks and took our food order. I ordered a Ruben sandwich with fries and a cup of chili. While we waited there was live music being played by a one man band from behind the bar. He was entertaining playing classic rock and not to loud that you couldn't talk. Our food came quickly and was very delicious. My sandwich was served open faced and piled with meat. The fires were hot and fresh. I was also impressed with the hostess who was cleaning tables. She really wiped them down good with disinfectant spray and then wiped the chairs as well. There is nothing bad I can say about this place and would highly recommend it.

Our bartender was excellent and after hearing I was vegetarian, she recommended the eggplant sandwich. The eggplant is thin and perfectly crisp. I low key wish this was an eggplant parm or dressed with some type of sauce, but it's delicious on its own. Last night we went Klee's and the food was good but the service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely attentive. I got the eggplant sandwich with fries which I almost forgot about (I don't know how). Their fries are crisp and incredible. My mom got the meatloaf and instead of mashed potatoes got fries. Instead of broccoli, she got green beans. The portions were huge and she was very happy with the substitutions. We also got dessert which we regret not sharing because their portions were huge. She got the chocolate peanut butter pie and I got the apple crisp. The apple crisp was stacked. Both were good! Next time we will definitely split dessert because we were stuffed. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Started with chips and salsa - made on-site and they also brought us three sauces, also made on-site - a jalapeño sauce, a red sauce and a tomatillo sauce. 100% recommend-all were delicious. We decided to split our meals and ordered a chicken burrito and the shrimp quesadillas. The burrito was very tasty, with what seemed like freshly made refried beans and delicious chicken. A little too much rice for me, I would have preferred less rice and maybe some grilled onions and peppers. The shrimp quesadillas were NOT what we expected. The shell seemed almost flash fried and in addition to the shrimp it had lettuce and melted manchego cheese. It was really, REALLY good. Service was great and we weren't rushed. There were four other tables filled while we were there and three of them were speaking Spanish which made me feel like we chose the right place. Seriously, I felt like the food here was made someone who'd been cooking like this for decades. A very cool little restaurant that I cannot recommend enough! Great food, great service, and a great location. (Sorry, forgot to take pics here)
