Came with a group of friends. They only take reservations for groups of 8 or larger which we were. They had an event outside so we couldn't sit outside. We asked to sit at an empty table near outside but they said we couldn't. Drinks were eh... nothing to write home about but they did the job. I got the chicken parm which i enjoyed. My friends didn't love the steak sandwich or the burrata ball. Location is right on boardwalk so you'll have to pay metered parking or a lot. Prices were average. Service was a little slower but we weren't in a rush so that was okay. read more

We had a lovely Monday night dinner. Wife had a personal size hot honey pizza, garlic knots. Son had a tuna dish. I had a rib eye steak sandwich. Fries were crunchy. Even on a Monday night, they had a live three piece band on, playing 60s, 70s, 80s music. Outdoor seats were recommended because of beautiful ocean view. Luckily, it stopped raining that night. Big massive TV on the outside seating area. read more

Friday night! Family time. Decided on staying local. My daughter suggested The Ocean View Restaurant! Right on the Seaside Boardwalk! We sat outside! Food was good. Enjoyed my cocktail! Saw bride & groom celebrating their wedding! Congratulations! Live music! Street parking! read more

When is the kitchen going to get it right?! We ordered appetizers and asked them to come out first. The apps took 40 minutes then our main dishes came out while we were eating our apps. The sweet potato fries (an up charge) were cold. When the replacement fries came out, there was a small helping on a large, cold plate. Of course they were cold when they hit the table. The setting is so lovely on the ocean, so please get it right read more

The indoor and outdoor dining areas are inviting and well designed. I especially noticed the outdoor lounge seating, which would be a perfect spot to enjoy the sunset if it can be VIP reserved. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. One surprise was the limited selection of premium alcohol behind the bar, which made the cocktail menu more basic than expected. I opted to just enjoy an iced tea. The food was ok overall, although I found several dishes to be on the salty side. The standout was the sesame tuna - it was fresh, light, and refreshing without being over-sauced. Overall, I would return, particularly during quieter hours. I can't speak to the experience when it's busy, but it was an enjoyable meal in a relaxed setting. read more

The only thing this place Has going is location. Lobster bisque soup was tastless. $9.00. The boneless chicken was frozen processed meat. $19.00. When billed came There was a restaurant fee listed at $1.50! Not returning. read more

I was visiting Seaside Heights looking for a decent place on the boardwalk to eat. Took a chance here and was pleasantly surprised We were a group of 6. Had to wait a few minutes. But when we were seated outside it was worth the wait. Place is real nice. Right on the ocean. Service was prompt. Cocktails were good Clam pizza was almost as good as Denino's. I got the grilled shrimp over a salad. Quite food. Only miss was the drunken clams. It tasted good but they served clams that didn't open. My guess if it was cooked a few more minutes they would have opened. Otherwise a success read more

I was a little nervous to come here given the reviews but as a vegetarian the pickings are slim on the boardwalk. There is plenty of spaces to sit and the service was attentive. My partner got the lobster Mac and I got the vegetable panini. We were both incredibly happy with our meals, they had a ton of flavor and were good sized portions. I ate my whole sandwich! read more

This place was hopping on a Tuesday night. The outside seating looked full and they had some line dancing. There was a LOT of people dancing. Are food was great! I had the sesame seared tuna, lobster Mac and cheese, chicken wings!! Tuna was so good!! Lobster Mac and cheese was delicious!! We had a few beers from the tap. Great atmosphere. We sat at the bar and there was only 1 bartender and she was stretched out too thin so service got real slow. We really liked it here. I also can say they are a little pricey. But so are most of the restaurants on the bo read more

Good food. Great service. Fun atmosphere. We always stop by in the summer and it's a different vibe. We loved the Xmas decor. Very festive. We did not live or even like the music. It was all Christmas songs but not even happy and upbeat Christmas songs. It was very slow and sleepy music! All of the food was good except for the stuffed jalapeños. They were completely raw! They needed to be cooked 1st until soft and nicely roasted. Then the toppings can go on and it just needs a few minutes to melt the cheese. (I make these myself so I know). The Lobster Bisque was good but there was not one single piece of lobster! They can do better on these 2 items. The burger was huge and delicious! read more

My parents and I stopped in for lunch. When we arrived we found parking not too far. We walked into a cute restaurant right on the beach. Colleen was our server and she was great! We ordered: The Ocean Crush Espresso Martini New England Clam Chowder Spicy Drunken Clams Shrimp & Scallops Bruschetta Blackened Shrimp Mac & Cheese Shrimp Alfredo Surf & Turf Blackened Chicken Handheld Lemon Ripieno My favorite was the shrimp and scallop Bruschetta! I also liked the mac and cheese dish! All in all it was a great experience listening to the band and looking at the water! read more

We were looking for a place for our last night of vacation and very nearly didn't come here because of how low the reviews were but that's absolutely asinine. I think normally id have ranked it a four star, but I want to give the extra just to try to give this place a bump. Thursday night and it was very busy but we easily got a table outside. It should get an extra star just for the location overlooking the beach, boardwalk and pier. Food was all better than decent. Not over the top, but since we're accustomed to most of the places in the area as par at best, this certainly exceeded that. We 100% will be back in the future. read more

I'll start with the service. We chose this restaurant today for a late lunch date. No one greeted us. No one sat us. No one gave us menus. We sat ourselves and when no one approached us, we got up and grabbed our own menus. Eventually our server came over to take our drink and food orders. My husband ordered a bottle of beer and I ordered the ultimate Bloody Mary. His beer was good but my drink was awful. It looked nice but the bacon was limp, the shrimp was fishy, and their homemade mix was one of the worst I ever had. My husband went over to the bartender and asked him what kind of mix it was. And he said house made - my husband told him that I didn't like it at all and barely drank it. Thinking he would offer to make a new drink, he got snarky and said NO ONE has ever complained about it; everyone loves it! My husband said 'my wife orders this drink every place we go and she said it's the worst she ever had'. He was dismissed and told to go complain to the manager. What manager? The one who is hiding somewhere with our server who was MIA after bringing our food. At $21, the bartender could have offered another drink, instead of giving attitude. The food; hub had a double burger served with fries and a limp pickle. I had the ribeye sandwich also served with fries and limp pickle. My husband liked his meal, mine was just ok; the ribeye was fattier than expected. Definitely wasn't worth $92 for a late lunch so we won't be returning. read more

I went to Ocean View Restaurant over the summer with a friend for lunch. It was really nice to sit outside on the beach. We ordered a salad, which was surprisingly large and pretty good! The service was solid, too -- nothing to complain about. Overall, I'd say it was a good experience, though not great. read more

We came here because we wanted to have a late night dinner on our last night at the boardwalk because it seemed like a nice place and online it says it closes at 12 so we planned the whole day of eating around being able to eat later. We walked in and they looked at us like we had 10 heads and didnt say anything until I said table for 2 and the "security" said very rudely that the kitchen was closed like around 10:30 anyways never coming back here because of the misinformation read more

Great bar and restaurant right on the water. super nice views and spacious bar area. the outside is really nice too

Wish I had checked the reviews before we came here. There was a 35 minute wait on a Saturday afternoon so we sat down at the bar and had drinks. Bar service was relatively fine other than they were out of one drink I had ordered..no big deal. We get seated outside and the server was polite however the food took a long time to show up. Our party ordered Mac and cheese, steak bites, wings, a burrata salad and a sandwich. The bacon Mac and cheese came out first which felt kind of bland. The steak bites were relatively small for the price and the wings appeared super dry. This feels like one of those places you come for the view and that's as much as you get. Felt kind of let down because they do have great options on the menu read more

How can this place be so consistently bad. The service is the absolute worst we've ever experienced and it's everytime. We go for the View and ambiance after that it's bad. We went last night sat at the back bar. Damion great guy but geez he was rattled. 5 orders came out wrong within 15 min. Girls next to us ordered shrimp cocktail as the food runner was carrying it piece of shrimp fell on ground, never replaced they ordered pizza with shrimp but they bought out margarita and asked if that was ok. This place needs new management because the current manager can't handle it. It's such a shame to see something that should be so good be so bad. Even the entertainment isn't consistent, we understand same group or owners, own Bar A how are the two so bipolar opposite. We can only hope sooner or later something will change. The ironic part is everyone says samething. Great ambiance service sucks. read more

I wish I could give it a higher rating because the view was great and our waiter was very attentive but I have to give two stars because of the Lobster Roll and the blacken steak bites. First the Lobster roll was the smallest roll I've ever seen. It was tasty but I'm sorry I did not send it back. It was so small and sooooo not worth the $28. My friend's husband also got the Lobster roll and it was literally gone in 3 bites, total rip off. The blacken steak bites that my friend got were also pretty pricey and were just OK. the thing that bothered me even more was the presentation. They were just thrown on a plate with a cup with the horseradish sauce. They could have at least thrown a leaf of lettuce on the plate to dress it up. Once again over priced for a small serving. It is an appetizer, but for $19 there should have been more on the plate and some effort put into the presentation. My husbands hamburger was very good, but you really can't mess up a burger. My $15 frozen Pina Colada at first tasted good but then realized the bottom half was like watery ice. Sorry but I can't recommend this place, it is over priced, cheap with serving size and just mediocre. read more

Service was good, food decent! In a setting where even children's arcades have air conditioning as do all the stores in the boardwalk this place really missed the mark with no air or even a fan in our seating area. The last thing we needed on a 90+ degree day was to eat dinner sitting in statgent air fanning ourselves with menus. Maybe we'll go back, but not likey especially on a warm day! Definitely do not recommend unless you like to eat in a sauna with no air conditioning, or even fans. read more

My girlfriend and I LOVED this place. Seriously. We sat at the bar for the happy hour and ordered a glass of wine/a transfusion. After a bit we added a flatbread. I don't think I have ever had worse service in my life. The drinks are great I'll give them that. But on multiple occasions I sat at the bar for 10+ minutes waiting to be acknowledged. I ordered chicken tenders and fries for my daughters, they took over an hour to come out. It's literally the worst service I've ever had in my entire life I am shocked and would never recommend this place minus the ambiance. The views are great right on the beach. It's a shame their service is so terrible. read more

Please do not go here. This place is racist. The male waiter that was serving on 5/08 had horrible service. He never sat us down or cleaned our table. We waited for 15 mins and decided to leave. Never saw him. This is the worst experience I've ever had. read more

Please don't waste your money here. Ordered bbq wings and got tasteless teriyaki sauce. I got the Cajun chicken sandwich. No hint of Cajun anywhere. The views are the best thing about this place. I was hoping it got better from last year but sadly it didn't. Understaffed for sure. The menu is limited as it is, we went to place our order and they were out of stuff. Then we finally pick something else, food was brought out cold and wasn't good. They couldn't heat it up because they don't have a microwave so they would have to remake it. We just canceled it. The service wasn't great. We barely saw our waitress. We had to keep asking for basic things like a soda refill or forks etc. When you get the bill they add in a surcharge for a card, even if you pay cash but if you question it you get it back, otherwise they keep it. Do better Ocean View. Huge expensive disappointment. I really home management sees the reviews and works on them. read more

Service was very good. Food was fair. Had lobster Mac and cheese, not much lobster in it. Was also too hot, but not their fault.

Food was great! Waiter so accommodating! Would give more stars if liquor wasn't so clearly watered down. I'm the woman who goes out to eat for the one double shot drink. Idc about the food the music or the smiling waiter. I wanna go home with a little buzz, and at my age that's a given with a one drink double shot... unless it's watered down. Then the meal was a waste of time. If u don't care about the drink strength, then this is ur jam. Even the music was on point! But I'll probably bring my own vodka next time. And order a virgin! read more

What's to say that hasn't been said already. Looking at the other reviews, there needs to be some changes in this rather new venue. Service is slow. Emily, a very amiable server did her job well. There has to be better communication between the kitchen and the waitstaff. The pizza was decent, though it took a better part of an hour to get it. After all that wait, I was comped for the pie. Ha ha. Entertainment was good plus the ocean view was great. This is one of the newer structures on Seaside Heights Boardwalk. Food was ok. The roll was cold like it was just pulled out of the fridge so didn't feel fresh at all. Burgers all come well done. Thin patties. Atmosphere is dry in off season.
