The best service I've had here! We took our mom out for Mother's Day, and the light where my dad was sitting was beaming directly in his face. The managers and staff went above and beyond trying everything they could to dim the lights for him. The whole team was amazing, and you can truly tell it's a positive work environment. They even gave us a LongHorns T-shirt for the inconvenience. My family and I felt so welcomed and taken care of, even after we complained about the lighting. Also the food was great ! Very disappointed with service and quality. Bowl of chili was very spicy and watery , only a few spoonfuls. It seems they were short help in the running around our waiter did. Every one's meal seemed adequate in quantity. In our party of ten, some were finishing up before the last of us were served. Took for ever for everyone to get our checks. Longhorn for me. Used to love running in there for a drink & soup & salad, which was okay, since i was just returning from the beach. Since then, I wish it's going to great like used to be.. so I try again, now it's horrible, I was so mad at myself for giving it another shot.. I am an OUTBACKER like forever.I think you get great value for the money, BUT..........a few nights ago went to Brick location with wife. Got seated immediatly. Had one cocktail and ordered a center cut sirloin. The bar tender was our server, The cesear salad was great. The steak was very tough and had a very wide fat strip on each side. Wife's meal was great. I'm not the complainer so I sawed thru the steak and chewed it to death. the only other remark is the music which is loud and impossible to identify. read more

I have reviewed this outback before - it was not good. However, I visited again today for the first time in a couple years and it was awesome! We were seated immediately, we got our drinks and food order in right away. The appetizer came out fast, fresh and hot. My steak was cooked perfect with no fat on it, everything looked good on the plate. Servers were attentive and kept our glasses full The manager even came over to see how we were doing. Why did I decide to give this place another chance? So disappointing! For a steak house I just had the most inedible steak. Before I could even take a bite I had to cut 30% through it to find an edible part which was hard and chewy. It took so much work to find a part that wasn't veiny and full of tendons that I gave up. I was soo turned off and disgusted that I lost my appetite. Never ever again. Outback you need to get your shhhht together!! Maybe change up the menu a bit and get some quality food. It's like eating at the equivalent of Mc Donald's. Same old shilt!. In response to the owner referring me to Outback's website, nice way to pawn off the responsibility. I understand it's a franchise but it's your store and the local people are your customers. Is it too much to ask that you make sure your franchise is running in a manner that you can offer quality food and a great dining experience. Went to the one in Brick. Not so great , the service was very slow and the food was mediocre at best. We had the blooming onion and it was not cooked in clean oil . It came out dark and greasy the steaks had minimal flavor and the food was put on the wrong plates. And the o ring on the cake was hair on a plate . We're done with this joint. read more

The last time at the Outback was my last time. I took my parents for lunch around 1:15 on Wednesday for my Dad's birthday. My Mom has dimensa, with that disease it takes longer for her to decide what to eat. I write on a piece of paper her options so she can decide, crossing one off each time she can't decide. I am not one for complaining but the waiter/waitress appeared to be slightly annoyed each time he/she returned to take our order and we weren't ready (it took at least 4 times before I finally made the decision what my mom was going to eat). I mentioned she had dimensa and asked for some patience. I was upset when I saw the rolling of the eyes when we still weren't ready. I spent almost $100 dollars for lunch with soups and an appetizer and dessert. How would you feel if that was one of your parents? If you've been to Peter Luger's in Brooklyn any erstwhile steak joint is bound to be a disappointment but a meat chain like Outback has virtues all its own. The service is crisp and if you close your eyes and forego a gimmick free dinner (sans Bloomin' Onion or "Tasmanian" Chili) and keep it simple with a Caesar, Ribeye and a baked potato the fare may make a liar of your inner cynic. And joy of joys, not one comic waiting in line had the memory or temerity to tell their friends "I hope they put another shrimp on the barbie." Australian Tourism should be very proud of that moldy chestnut. Honestly, they'd do themselves a favor and class up the joint if they swept all the upsell collateral off the table pushing an endless parade of specialty cocktails and Aussie-themed desserts. This Outback Steakhouse has been in Brick Twp a few years. First time I have been to this one. The place was not crowded, seated immediately. There are currently three menus to peruse. So tell your server you need extra time to digest them. The origin of this chain is American, but the ambiance and food presentation are Australian, at least that's what is stated. Some of the examples of Aussie fare are: Bloomin' onion, kookaburra wings, Sydney shrooms, Aussie cheese fries. Keep in mind if you do not like fried foods do not order these. The wings are fried and made with mac & cheese, The Bloomin onion is decent with their homemade sauce, the Aussie cheese fries are made with bacon and onion bits.and the shrooms are "lightly" battered with ranch dressing. Ordered a char grilled ribeye. I would not give my dog this food. First of all a young man comes to drop off the food, a baked potato with nothing, not even butter. Did not ask if I wanted anything. Actually the potato was well baked. THE STEAK WAS FAT ON FAT ON FAT. It was not edible. Sent it back for a 6 oz filet mignon. That was delivered on a small dessert plate with no potato. Great Porterhouse steak here with mashed potatoes. Cooked the way I like it and very filling. The complimentary bread, which I found out is Honey Wheat and not Pumpernickel, was tasty and warm. This is definitely something that you cannot stop eating while waiting for your meal or during. The Porterhouse was a nice size and easy to slice off the bone. My server Jennifer was attentive and friendly and made sure that there was bread in front of me while waiting for the main course. This location has a nice sized parking lot and was actually quiet when I went there. As always, I was not disappointed with my meal at Outback. Be sure if you want a steak, to give this place a try.
