You get a nice vibe when coming in here. I heard it's been newly renovated in the last year. The last time that I was here a few years ago, this place was called Luigi's. Service was good & cordial though somewhat inexperienced. I told Marco, the server, you have to start somewhere. Food was decent, not great. Had a veal platter in which the meat was somewhat hard. Prices decent. Ample free parking. *** 1/2 stars

Dance floor lit up for the entertainment

Hangar 21 is fun for more than a quick bite on a night you just want to go out. We went a little late around 8 on last Friday night, and there was a singer on his break, so there were lights flashing so it was festive. We were seated quickly and found the waitstaff friendly and attentive. We had our drinks quickly. We both ordered from the specials. I don't recall waiting too long & our food was hot. The singer started & they let us move so we could see him. As for the food, I ordered the crab cakes and i enjoyed them. My meal came with rice and veggies. Overall I loved my dinner and almost ate all of my crab cakes. I loved the smoky flavor of the rice. My hubby wasn't as pleased with his rib eye steak. It was on the fatty side and had a gravy on it that didn't taste fresh. The dessert we ordered, a peanut butter chocolate ice cream bomb, was fun and delish. Overall, we enjoyed the evening and may return to try something else from their large menu. The entertainment was a fun bonus, though he does cater to a certain local age group. I thought he was fun and want to take my parents there. I recommend though.

Sugar cookie martini (highly recommended!)

Hangar 21 Tavern is located in Downtown Lakehurst, and I had passed it many times before. I finally just went and tried it. They have both a bar and a dining area. While I usually prefer just to bring my own wine to Italian bistros in New Jersey, I took advantage of the bar. That was great for solo diners. The bartender was actually highly experienced. She made me the Sugar Cookie Martini, and it was her creation and the best part of the meal. The food is standard Jersey Shore Italian food, which is in line with the market in the area. It came with soup and better bread, too. I liked my meal, but it was not fabulous. The place has dimmer lighting and a slightly romantic feel, so it should be good for a date. But I think the whole family would enjoy it, too.

Prime Rib, mashed potatoes, and green beans

Comfortable and pleasant tavern for a refreshing drink, lunch, or dinner. Prime rib tender and delicious. Veal Parmigiano one of the best I ever had. Fried calamari with a light breading among the best in the area. Pizza with a nice thin crust so good. Italian hoagie on a sub bun excellent for lunch or anytime. Sal, owner, always makes you feel welcome. Look forward to returning for lunch and dinner.

Top entree is Stuffed Rigatoni w/Bolognese sauce and the bottom is Salmon Picata

5- stars for the food, location & ambiance. This is why we keep going back, and honestly? We'll…read moreprobably go back again, but buyer needs to beware. Each time we return I am met with a 1-2 star review feeling based on cost / billing / and service I just can't shake. Go for the food. Stay because you get left for untold amount of time. Service is slow. We've been there 4 times and 1 time service was amazing. This last time we went, we were sat a table that was not a dinner table. I think it was an ill sized coffee table with a table cloth on it. The adults knees were above the table and the kids were sat in a couch that hit the floor. No mention or thought was given to who was sitting in this ridiculous makeshift table. Finally and the reason I was compelled to write a review - watch your bill. You have to put a downpayment down for reservations and 1x I went this was not deducted from my bill - I should have checked of course before I left, but last time I did not and had to go back and forth a few times to get my money back. And finally, soft drinks / lemonade. Glasses are small, packed with ice and when the server asks "do you want another drink" - he doesn't mention it will be nearly 5 dollars for minute maid lemonade. When you are (gladly) spending nearly 30 dollars for a burger to then have to spend 5 bucks a soft drink that is clearly understood as a free refill is a bummer. Hunched over celebrating my birthday this year - hit with a silly bill $20+ in lemonade - left to sit with no check in for a silly amount of time. There are some small changes to service and experience that would make this place a true 5 star event.

Very friendly and her knowledge of the menu was superb. My wife had the meatloaf and she loved it. She said the flavor was on point, you know I had to get A taste and she was right that meatloaf was really good. I had the French Onion soup and that soup was amazing. The flavors the used went well together. They use a four cheese blend for the French Onion soup and it is good. Now on to this pork chop, I have to say certified FIRE , that pork chop was juicy, and had awesome flavor. The brown sugar apples went well together with the chop. I had a great experience here and we will go back to try other dishes. Now the location is hard to find at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, NJ. But when you get there you will not be disappointed.

I called the restaurant to find out that they are now closed on Sunday's. Never heard of a restaurant that's only opened Sa-Sun. It was one of my favorites. Will not be going as I tend to stay away from AC on the weekends. Very Disappointing (worse for the employees)

No more broken chicken bones! Came here yesterday after shopping at the outlets. I basically…read moreordered the same thing I got last time. Chicken wings nekked with a side of BBQ honey sauce, mild sauce, ranch dip and an order of onion rings (not on the menu). I love their BBQ honey sauce dipped in ranch. I never had their mild wing sauce, but tried it and wasn't a fan. My mom ordered the Greek salad. Their wings come out crispy which we both enjoyed (my mom is very hard to please), the onion rings were good, and she very much liked her salad. Service was great and the ambiance is nice. Our lunch here came out cheaper than breakfast at Hash House at Tropicana. The only thing problem is that only 7 pieces of wings come in one order. That's an odd number for wings. Should be at least 10 pieces. I mean if people know your wings are good, not sure why you wouldn't offer at least 10 pieces like most WING places.

A happy hour event was also on the calendar for Thursday, meant to be a cheerful punctuation mark on a long work week. Then came the news: Wingcraft had closed its doors forever. No warning, no farewell, no wings. It is strange to feel stood up by a restaurant, but that is how it felt. One moment there was a place with burgers and beer flights, a hum of televisions and bar chatter, and the next there was only silence and a locked door. We were left wandering near the Convention Center, hungry and confused, like pilgrims whose holy site had vanished overnight. I give it two stars because once upon a time, the food was decent and the beer cold. But the sudden disappearance left us stranded, and the city felt emptier for it. Atlantic City is cruel like that, swallowing places whole and leaving only echoes where the laughter used to be.
