Met a girlfriend here for dinner last week, I arrived early and sat in the dining area in the back by the party room? my friend arrived and we ordered iced tea. After looking at a pretty extensive menu, I ordered a minestrone soup, Becks beer and the fish & chips- when I say that this piece of fish was huge it literally took up the whole plate it was served on! it was light, flakey and delicious- My friend ordered the turkey & stuffing dinner and she enjoyed it very much, for dessert I had the lemoncello dessert parfait and I really liked the tangy taste of the lemon, she had the cheesecake and said she couldn't possibly eat the whole thing, but did! lol and we also placed a to-go order for her grandson who was still at work but needed to eat when he got home from his shift, so chicken fingers and fries to go. Have had good food here in the past, but after today I will never go back. My wife and I went in for lunch, it wasn't overly busy but we decided to sit at the bar. We sat down just before noon. Bartender gets our diet cokes and gives us menus. We order calamari, a rice bowl and Cuban sandwich. (It should be noted a party of 3 came in at the same time we did). After approximately 30 min of being there the calamari comes out. Just before that a couple of guys came in and sat next to us. After another nearly 30 min our food is not out - the party of 3 had 5 plates of sushi delivered and the guys next to us got both of their sandwiches. I ask the bartender what the issue is and tell him to just cancel it as I have a flight to catch and had things I had to handle. He walks around a bit looking for lord knows what and comes back about 5 min later with a $25 bill for calamari and 2 cokes. Never again! read more

By far the worst food ive had all year at any restaurant in ocean county. Apps were ok..mozzarella sticks and wings, Had the special german schnitzel and it was a slop of inedible mushrooms smothered in gravy and terrible what was supposed to be potato pancakes and pretty bad sauerkraut. the two pieces of pork were tiny and tasteless ,total disaster of an entree and they should be ashamed of themselves for this kind of food product. we aslo had a crispy chicken sandwich with french fries that was even worse. the chicken was chicken tenders cut up it little pieces that wasnt even edible ,dry ,no taste and mushy.. tried to salvage a couple of bites and it was sent back and manager only took of 1/2 price . very unprofessional act by managment. also had onion soup which was just ok and a pasta dish which had very small portion was also just ok. this place is trying to pass itself off as a decent restaurant ,but its very obvious the kitchen staff are not experienced chefs . would not return here even you paid Me to eat there. btw bathrooms are run down ,wallpaper peeling off the walls ,dirty.... read more

Food is good, I had the meatloaf. My posting only 3 stars is because the service was slow, even though it was mostly empty and there was plenty of wait staff. My other issue is the bill... My bill came out to $30.80. I gave the waiter a $100.00 and he failed to give me all my change. He only gave me $59.00. Now it seems like I might be pretty to be angry over .20 cents, but it seems like all restaurant staff are doing this. This is not the first restaurant to do this. To me, this is a form of theft. My family owned restaurants, and we never did this. If your staff cannot figure out the change, then they shouldn't be touching the register. So, the waiter's tip was short...after all, having 4 waiters standing around doing nothing and then shorting me cash, I feel you need to do better. read more

The last few times, the food had no flavor. I ordered food tonight and regret it. My burger was ok but very oily. My fries had no flavor and were kinda cold. They had the menus waiting for us already and we were immediately seated. The waitress came over, introduced herself and we put our drink orders in. The waitress offered us bread and came back for our order. Unfortunately, I forgot her name. we ordered appetizers, clams. bacon garlic knots and stuffed mushrooms to split. 5 giant garlic knots. 5 big mushrooms and garlic clams, the smallest I've ever seen but it was 2 dozen if they were the big ones and after the apps no one would've had room for dinner. Main courses were amazing. Large portions so be careful when ordering, sides are extra. If I had gotten anything else, I would not have been able to finish my meal. Salads were very fresh and a good size. We all were very satisfied, and we stayed a little while after the check came ands were still talking and catching up. No rush like some other places to get you out when you're done. 10/10 on everything from all 6 of us. It's a defiantly on the yes, we're going there again with the family soon. read more

Overall just mediocre food. My Jaeger Schnitzel had very little flavor. I couldn't taste any garlic, paprika or even pepper. The oil in the fryer was either old or no one watches the time as my potato pancakes were very dark and reminded me more of hush puppies than latkes. The mushroom gravy had a lot of mushrooms but the gravy itself tasted like it was from a pre-made base. My friend's fish and chips was also mediocre with the fish very obviously from frozen as it was mushy and overcooked. This restaurant is following the trend to charge for using credit cards so expect a 4% surcharge. The service wasn't as attentive as I've received in the past but our food did come out hot.
