Came here for brunch on w Friday. The place was packed so they gave me a buzzer after adding my name to the wait list - no big deal. While waiting I walked to the bathroom where I was greeted by roaches on the door and frame. I was too stunned to react. I looked around to see if anyone else saw what I was seeing. The table to the left corner of the bathroom door was a large party and they didn't seem to notice. I waited a little bit for them to scatter away. Against my better judgement I went in to use the bathroom & got out as soon as possible. I ended up handing the buzzer back to the hostess and found a sushi place near by that was just as gross. Sorry this is a week late. I'm sure this place has gotten many five star reviews. It was last Sunday and my ex and I wanted to try this place because I heard a lot about it. It's a stand alone building and I believe there's an overflow parking lot next to the regular parking lot. The place is very busy. We arrived there around noon and it was about a half an hour wait for a table. They have a counter too. They give you a little pager. The place has that old country store feel to it. I heard some people complaining about the hostess, but she seemed perfectly nice to me. Our waitress was fine if a little on the elderly side, and the coffee was excellent. The prices are very reasonable and I must say the food is very good. My ex had a veggie omelette with home fries and buttered rye toast. Truthfully, I've had better home fries, but they were still good. I had a nice normal size stack of pumpkin pancakes. Their texture and consistency was way better than average. You didn't need that much syrup because they had good moisture to them, and even though they had a fluff they weren't dried out. They leave butter packets out on the table, which is great because then the butter is soft. A lot of people don't know that butter doesn't have to be refrigerated. My ex asked for her omelette light, on the softer side and it came out just the way it was supposed to. What more can I say? Everything was great, for a very reasonable price point. it definitely has the feel of a place that has many regulars. I'm sure we will be back. read more

This is the second time I've been the first time The food was good not enough to make me make a review the second time I got the chicken fried steak breakfast order this was the best breakfast I have had probably all year the chicken fried steak was perfectly cooked, but the topper was the biscuits that were served with it. They were unbelievable, soft tasty with a taste of honey mixed in oh my God, I was in love the only thing that could've improved. It was the gravy got all over my eggs and potatoes. Generally a very friendly 'neighborhood' restaurant. Most waitresses remember customer names (if one comes often) Yes, prices are still reasonable for lunches and dinners. Naturally prices have gone up from 5 years ago, but the portion size is decent. There's new faces of waitresses since October and NOT 'as friendly.' (but that I suspect is because they are new to the job and don't know me, who does not come as often, due to increased prices) One complaint was Nov. 26th, I went to pick up 3 take out Turkey dinners (special dinners one could order for Thanksgiving) Before picking up order, I decided to use a 'reward coupon' and have breakfast. As I was eating breakfast, Sandy asked TWICE 'do you want the take out Thanksgiving dinner now?' Twice I smiled and said "I'm still eating." (which she could obviously see) Must have been THE BUSYNESS and the Thanksgiving thing, but for the first time; I felt RUSHED in eating (at the counter) When finally I went to pay for breakfast, I said ok, bring the take out dinners, I wanted to look to see everything was there as ordered... and one new wait staff person got a bit 'huffy.' (again RUSHING ME as if my asking to see what was inside the packages was somehow wrong of me.) Packages NOT MARKED and I wanted to see what was inside. But, that's human nature 'sometimes.' All in all a friendly neighborhood eating spot. And the food is tasty. Oh yes, the parking lot spots are limited so sometimes its best to avoid peak hours: 9 a.m (breakfast) and 12 noon (lunch). SUGGESTION on parking situation: rather than a sign saying one can use a strip of area in the used car lot next to Sandy parking lot (separated by fence). Consider, Sandy... fully renting that strip of lot space and paving that strip of land (it's currently gravel and not enticing for elder folk) Move the fencing to surround this strip of land. Of course, even with the strip of land asphalted complete for Sandy customers, it would not improve parking. Just give more wiggle room to get out of a space. Parking is a problem. (MAYBE it's time to move location to a larger piece of land and more parking?) Off hand, can't think where that could work. (renting in a strip mall with shared parking lot spaces would cost more rent) There is the strip mall nearby in the Hall's automotive area. (oooh my, all those potential new customers who come in for a lunch while waiting for car repair?) There is an empty store currently in this area I believe. This is a little gem! Had the fried green beans to start. Lovely coating, thin, not at all greasy. Sauce was a horseradish blend. Then had for lunch the grilled cheese with tomato on whole wheat. This simple dish was elevated!. Fresh beefy tomato. Cheese was super melty. Double stacked! Fries were not greasy and had an exterior of crunchiness paired with a creamy center. Cole slaw was fresh and lush. Sister had the turkey sandwich with cranberry and gravy. Exceptional! My new fav spot. Great art to purchase and all staff were lovely people. What a enjoyable experience my husband and me had at Sandy's! The owner was friendly and welcoming. Adrianne our waitress was suffering from allergies and not feeling her best, however she couldn't have been nicer. I was impressed by how hot the eggs were ( I never get hot eggs even when I make them myself). Portions large and prices reasonable. Very cozy comfortable booths and tables. If you are in the Manchester stop by to see Sandy, I am sure she will give you a warm welcome. I definitely will be stopping again soon. read more

I finally tried Sandy's and now angry Ive waited so long. The restaurant is decorated adorable, the staff,including Sandy were all friendly and attentive. There was about a 15 minute wait and it was definitely worth the wait. Anytime I try a new breakfast spot I get the usual breakfast so I know if I will be back to try other menu items. My daughter got the Nutella french toast and said it was delicious. I got a breakfast special with eggs, toast,home fries, sausage and bacon. Everything was delicious, especially the home fries. My dad and I always wanted to try this place. We were very disappointed. My dad had pancakes which he said were ok. I had French toast which was mediocre. We both had crispy bacon which came out cold. Our waitress was a nice lady however never came over to ask if we wanted more coffee or ask how everything was. I had to get up.and ask the owner for more coffee. The first cup of coffee was decent and the second was not good. There r way better breakfast places in the area!!! Sandy's is a cute, rustic local eatery that some friends recommended. I finally got there, after procrastinating for months! Prkg was hard to find, & there was a 15 min wait, on a weekday at 1:30p. They have one waitstaff take you to your booth, and another takes your order. Lunch specials are from 11-3:00; a drink is included. Waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the menu, and their expertise helped me make a decision. I went with the New England Clam Chowdah & the Chicken Pot Pie, which was huge! There was some overpowering spice (garlic?), that made me gag; something not usually found in a Pot Pie. We also ordered a Cheeseburger with fries, which was very good. The pies in the pie case looked so fresh & delicious, so we ordered Choc Cream pie, which was a bit disappointing....the 'whipped cream' tasted like whipped Cool Whip, and the Choc Cream was a bit too thick and could have been more chocolate. With tax & tip, we paid $50.00, a lot for lunch. read more
