I'm definitely a regular when it comes to Kristy's, it makes me sad to see the decline in service and ordering to pick up. This isn't our first bad experience, usually something is missing from the order baked potato once , dessert, salad dressing, and there amazing bread but this time it was the whole base of my meal. How do you give someone chicken Francese with no pasta or rice!? My husband always orders the spinach pie and we received something like frozen spanakopita nothing like spinach pie you can see my past orders. I called the lady told me we changed the menu. Change the menu? Does that mean every dish is different from it's name? I'm glad I payed for a side of spinach because my meal would have been blah!look at my picture and tell me if it's me expecting something that is completely different without telling me when I ordered. read more

Horrible hostess charged me almost double the amount the sandwich I get all the time, and did nothing about looking into how she upcharged me, paid twenty one dollars for a cold cut turkey sandwich. The only thing they cooked was my French fries. What am I paying over twenty dollars for. Especially when the larger triple decker turkey club with everything that's in my sandwich and more is somehow cheaper. Make that make sense. Just really upsetting from a diner that I used to enjoy. I absolutely LOVE Kristys diner and everything is always packaged w loved and cared and that really does mean a lot to me after a long day that the restaurant that I just spend a ___ amount of amount of money isn't behaving like all other services ; upping their prices and slashing their services with it . The food is delightful honestly and it feels like home cooked. The soup is so yummy and hits the spot just right !!!!! The Grilled Cheese w bacon is beyond feeling cozy and snuggys. Let me just say... my parents love diners... they always stick up for bad food for some reason... we ended up not having dinner plans since everyone was booked up but this place was dead.. on a Friday. Anyways.. my parents chose this place so we went, they always enjoy themselves. My boyfriend and I went with them 2 times prior to this and didn't really like it then either... we both thought we ordered safe meals.... We were wrong. I could've made both of these meals so much better. The bread was good. My mom got a turkey dinner, she was pretty unhappy as well, she said she was quite disappointed this time..My dad had chicken parm and claims he usually gets it and enjoys it but I tasted it and it sucked... I wish we didn't go last night but all that matters is that I got to spend time with my family. I didn't even finish half of my food nor did I take it home... oh and I got a free piece of carrot cake with the special and ended up leaving it in the car by accident so I can't tell you if that sucked or not. I tried to politely and quietly tell the waitress it was not a panini and My husbands Rueben wasn't fresh ( I didn't want our experience to influence the others around us) she didn't do anything to make it right so I had called and left a message for the manager who never called me back I called again today. He offered to do nothing for me refused to take the receipt info, no excuse on the food or service, just defended that it was panini bread and he kept repeating that he wasn't there so there was nothing he could do and when I said to him "well how do you know you weren't there I never gave you the date" he hung up on me!! We literally had our food boxed up and left because of the enormous amount of flies! They were all over us! It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen! Honestly I'm done ordering from Kristy's Diner. I used to go there all the time and honestly the last year it has gone completely down hill and no one cares about customer service there or their regulars ..... There have been countless times they messed up my pick up order. Countless times I've asked for an extra dressing and never got it you have to pull teeth to get anything from them. Also when you order it's NEVER consistent. I would order pasta dishes from them and sometimes it would come with dinner bread and sometimes without or they would forget to give you butter with bread and other things. Also utensils they never bother to give you any when you ask for them. Tonight really just pushed it for me. This is the last time I'm buying food from them. Tonight my fiance and I just wanted a simple soup and salad for dinner so we ordered from kristys... I asked for 2 house salads ( because we like iceberg lettuce ) and 1 12 oz turkey soup I asked for extra Caesar dressing for the salads. So he comes home with the food. ( $13 ) it's 2 SIDE salads with 2 regular size dressings... So I call back and I talked to the woman and I said .. Hi I ordered 2 house salads with extra dressing I got 2 SIDE salads and no extra dressing... She said that I asked for 2 SIDE salads... I told her I asked for 2 HOUSE salads and I didn't even get the extra dressing i asked for. So she said do you want to come back and pick up 1 or 2 more side salads. I'm like I'll pick up 2 because then we can equal 2 full size salads and please don't forget the extra dressing... So my fiance leaves and gets to kristys and he has to pay another $9 for 2 side salads... And they still didn't even give us the extra dressing we asked for. Like wtf seriously ... So we spent $ 22 on 4 side salads. Shit is honestly ridiculous ... Never again am I going to spend another dime at this place. I'm going to Lake Side Diner their service is better and they give you what you ask for. Honestly it would have been better if I just stopped at shop rite and bought a bag of salad and made it my damn self. It sure as hell wouldn't have cost $22. Great local casual dining/diner. We mainly go for breakfast or an early lunch. The service is always great and the food is consistently good. They have a breakfast sausage that tastes amazing. It's not like the frozen store bought garbage, but a mild flavored sausage you would expect to purchase from a butcher shop. I find them to be reasonably priced and is a go to place for my family. Try the sweet potato pancakes, French toast, breakfast sausage, and gyro platter. Maybe not all at once, but you get the point. My only gripe is that they only have the "breakfast syrup" vs a maple syrup. It seems almost counter productive to have such great fresh food choices and then cover it in corn syrup laden sauce. read more

I went yesterday for breakfast and I wasn't impressed. I got the Greek omelet and it came with home fries. The home fries were just frozen potato shavings fried. No flavor whatsoever and undercooked. The omelette lacked feta. I think it had maybe a teaspoon of feta in the whole thing. Their side of bacon came with 3 small slices of bacon....That's when my eyes nearly popped outside of my head. The waitress was VERY nasty to boot. She didn't want to be there thats was for sure. Get a new job? And when the meal was over we waited 25 minutes for the check. Just left Kristy's. This meal was a hit and a miss for us. Service was ok. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork panini and my husband had the steak panini both new items on the menu. I ordered the side salad instead of the fries, $2.19 up charge. When we we received our sandwiches, I was surprised to see that they were on regular white bread and pressed, I don't think this constitutes as a panini. With the BBQ sauce and caramelized onions every time I took a bite of my sandwich it just got soggier & soggier. Server asked how our meal was, I explained how I thought my sandwich would be on sourdough and she said that's how they make it...really, no kidding SMH. Flavor was really good so I tried to power through but just got worse and I asked her to take it back, of course she was courteous and asked if I wanted anything thing else but I told her that I was good and appreciated the offer. My husband was good with his steak panini as he has no sauce on his sandwich and it was not falling apart. Fries were really good. I have been here many times. The food is always good. Never had a bad meal here. As far as the hostess and wait staff its hit or miss. Some of them are very nice some of them are kind of cranky.
