This is the best Chili's in CenTex bar none! The service is much better than the other "local" Chili's.

This location is by far my favorite, as it is perfectly located and the experience is always remarkable. Being that Chili's is one of my favorite family-friendly restaurants, naturally I take advantage of every opportunity to visit a nearby location. The bar service was absolutely horrible. We seated ourselves, and waited for the waitress/bartender to help us. The Marguerita was watery and the boneless chicken was not thoroughly cooked. We didn't have to pay for the uncooked wings, but our intestines paid the price later. So unhappy with the attitude of the staff. We won't do any Chili's ever again. read more

Went to eat tonight with another guest, it was only the two of us and we seemed to wait around forever to be sat even though I could clearly see empty tables scattered around the restaurant. After finally getting a booth, we waited forever to be greeted by a server, multiple servers and what looked like management walked past our table and looked at us and made eye contact but no one came over to greet us, finally a young man came by and asked if "Alicia" had helped us yet, when we replied with no he said he would take our table. I don't know if he was new to serving, but he barely talked at all. Our food was alright, definitely overpriced for the quality. When we cashed out at our table it took at least 10-15 mins to get our change back. Everyone knows chili's is known for not the best service but somehow I think it will change. The waitress was very nice, only one waitress for the whole place. 3:30pm Cajun pasta was aldente not done. Wife fajitas were almost raw ( onions and peppers.) other than that it was ok. read more

This is the worst Chili's I have ever eaten at. The service is awful and the food is rarely as good as you get at other Chili's. I don't know if the problem is management or what, but we have given this location numerous chances to get it right and every single visit was awful. My wife gave birth to our son 3 days ago. My mom is visiting and wanted to treat us to a great meal. She ordered our food and paid for it online. I drove 15 miles to pick it up and then 15 miles back home to find our order was incomplete. My 5 year old daughters 6 ounce sirloin steak, corn on the cob, and fries was missing. I called and spoke to Josh who only offered us a $15 gift card. SERIOUSLY!!! We should have gotten a FULL refund of $67 for the aggravation and frustration. Our meals were decreased because we shared with my daughter so she would have food to eat. You can be sure that we will not patronize this store again and we will tell our friends and family about the uncaring incompetence of this Chili's. If a couple of minutes would have been taken to assure our order was correct, this review would have been totally different. Order with caution from the Chili's in Temple. If possible, go somewhere else where you can get great service because you will not get it here. read more

Poor Service. I placed a to-go order while dinning-in. I expected the to-go order to be ready upon completion of our meal. We ate our food and after I checked out, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our to-go order. When I asked why it took 50 minutes to cook a burger, I was given a poor excuse and was asked what do I want them to do. I believe the proper response should have been a monetary credit right away and an apology before we had to wait 30 minutes after we checked-out. read more

WE ATE ON NAPKINS FOR MY BIRTHDAY. Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!!! I called ahead to let them know I'd be coming in with a party of 11, I came in for my birthday party & had 5 of my guests eating their dinner on a napkin because our waitress would not come back to bring us plates. We waited for drinks for 30 minutes after being seated, then waited for our food for an hour after that. Then had to eat with a damn napkin. My guests were angry & upset. I ended up going back to the kitchen to find a manager & let her know we have barley been talked too, our waitress never brought us plates after asking 2 different times after having our food served 20 minutes prior. If I could give less than a 1 star, I sure as hell would. DO NOT COME HERE TO EAT, ITS THE AWFUL STAFF!! Thanks for making my birthday so stressful & embarrassing chili's. If possible I'd give 0 stars. Just picked up ribs to go and the meat resembled a cross between jerkey and shoe leather. I've eaten at this establishment since it opened and have never had food so bad. The manager offered to take care of my meal if I brought it back or take care of my next meal but he scoffed at doing the right thing and refund me for this meal in particular. I'm sad to write my first bad review. Granted my friends and I have been here 3 times in the last couple weeks but this was the last straw. 1st time they got a free pass because the server was obviously brand new, understandable. 2nd time it was Sunday afternoon and they were jam packed, understandable. But this last time the service was absolutely horrendous. It was our server in particular. She was lazy and took 30-45 min to ever check on us even when we attempted to get her attention she kept walking. Our issue was the poor attitude and eye rolling whenever she did check on us and we needed something. Granted we're polite and well mannered people so it kinda took us by surprise. We could see her playing around in the kitchen from our view and she also took the time to come out and sit at one of the tables to chat with her coworkers, but didn't check on us. We're all adults and have jobs...don't take your frustrations out on the customer. I would mention her name but I don't recall it. I don't plan on going there again. They don't serve Caesar salad anymore...the reason it's not healthy! Are you freaking kidding me?!? The food isn't very good and 80% of the time it comes out cold. The service is slow, like waiting and hour for your cold food. I have been to other chili's in other towns, states, and countries. This one is the worst. Don't bother wasting your time. The waiter came to our table and made it sound as if chips and salsa were free he asked would you guys like some chips and salsa we said sure he did not tell us that they costed money it would have been nice if he said would you like some chips and salsa for $3. The steak was stringy the mashed potatoes tasted like instant ones out of the box the service was okay would probably recommend eating somewhere else read more

This place, in my honest opinion, has gone way downhill in quality and way up on prices over the years. I was seriously craving a steak for dinner, and since there was an hour and a half wait at Roadhouse, my husband and I decided to bring the family here since we hadn't been in a long while (due to a crappy visit last time) and we figured things may have gotten better since our last visit. Everything was going great up until our meals came out. First off, it took at least 30 minutes for our meals to come out which I wasn't worried about because we were in no hurry and weren't "starving to death" so no biggie. But I ordered the ribeye steak (medium rare) with loaded mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and a full side of grilled shrimp and the first thing they always ask you to do is cut into the steak and see if it's cooked to your specifications and mine was definitely over cooked. The manager asked if I wanted to send it back and since we had already waited so long I decided to stick with it but after a few bites I wish I hadn't. It was hard on the top, hard to cut into and hard to chew. The broccoli was raw and not steamed and the shrimp was borderline raw and slightly clear still. The potatoes tasted like they were made from potato flakes. The manager gave us a discount for the meal but once again I will not likely be coming back anytime soon. read more

My family and I all enjoy Chili's. We start off with the cheese fries every time. The kids get burgers or the chicken crispers, while my husband and I enjoy the steak. Went to Chillis last nite with my boyfriend and his family, and having to wait almost 20 Minutes just to get a table,,empty tables everywhere in the restuarant, most of then not even cleaned off, The lack of urgency for customer service was so obvious inadequate and lack of service, finally getting a table the same lack of urgency for service was there, with the server...all the reviews I 've read say the same concern inregards to the lack of, or lack of training in customer service in your restuarant... read more

I stopped being a fan of Chilis about 7 years ago, the food had just gone down hill. But after my husband and I stopped into our Chilis in Temple recently, we knew we would be back. The past three times we have been now have been a great experience. The restaurant is clean, the service is great and the food was delicious. We ordered the shrimp tacos and the black bean burger and were very impressed. I would recommend this location to anyone. read more

We frequent this Chili's often during lunch hours and usually have a good experience but we went there around 9:30 last night after the movie was over & it was very disappointing. We stood in the doorway for 5 min without ever being greeted though 3 waitstaff walked right by. Hubby had to go to a bar waitress to ask to be seated. Host was apparently setting up table for the 5 other folks standing there. When the waitress took us to our booth, it was to the furthest one by the very loud kitchen that another waiter was wiping down. She plopped the menus down & walked away. We had walked by multiple empty booths, some clean but most piled with dirty dishes & no attempt was made to even dry our table, when we noticed an entire row of clean tables to the side of us so we moved. The waiter who was to be ours that had wiped down our table walked right past us but never returned to take our order. We waited & waited. So we are into this experience about 15 min when hubby has to go again to find someone. He returns with the female manager who explained there were no servers for that section. We asked her if we needed to move & she said "I have no idea." Really? Aren't you the manager? Then she did say we will just figure it out. She had been on her way out the door or just coming in because she had her purse on her shoulder but she did finally take our drink order & delivered those quickly though she brought me unsweet tea when I ordered sweet & then took our order. Then a different waiter came & he apologized for the start but said it would get better. Well, the food he brought out was part of our order but one thing was not our order he said. Then he did quickly bring the rest & it did taste good overall but the ranch dressing I got was spoiled. I had my daughter taste it just to be sure it wasn't just me & there were chunks of lettuce or maybe avocado in it? Waiter did ask us if we needed anything a couple of times but not once did he bring or offer a refill on our drinks. Then when I was trying to pay it wasn't showing on our kiosk. Then he brought me a printed ticket & I said we are done but expected to pay on the kiosk. He didn't understand why it wasn't showing our bill until he realized the wrong one was on our table so he had to switch it out so we waited again. He was nice enough but his awareness that we could have used another drink was poor. Overall a very poor experience so I'll hesitate to come again this late at night. read more

We've never had very good service or good food at this Chili's. It is the worst Chili's we've ever been too. We recently went again and after ordering cups of soup with our entree, we were brought and charged for cold bowls of soup. We might have tried to do something about it, but the waiter was never around and it didn't increase our price much. The chicken crispers and basically all chicken entrees we've tried involve lots of fatty parts that aren't removed so it is disgusting to bite into and you have to spit it out. The strawberry lemonades don't taste like lemonade or strawberry at all....tastes like dirty water. When you spend $40 on 2 drinks, an appetizer, an entree, and 2 bowls of soup that were supposed to have been cups of food you expect it to be decent. We ate a lot of it because we were hungry and just wanted to get out of there without having spent $40 on food we threw away. read more
