ENVIRONMENT: came in at 8:30pm on a Friday night. Very calm, very easy going. Tables clean and servers doing what they are supposed to. I'm actually really shocked as I come from California and the places there are a little crazy to say the least. STAFF: very friendly but way too young to ask for recommendation on alcoholic drinks. However some have the ability to tell you they can ask the bartender what's good according to your likings which is amazing. The only con would be that some servers do forget what you ask for but you can always ask for it again. SERVICE: AMAZING! It's been a while since my husband and I have been to a Chili's. We stopped here on a whim the other night and had almost zero complaints. We were seated quickly, and our table and others were clean. Our server didn't take long to greet and get us started. It surprised us a little when our meals came out before our appetizer, but it soon followed. We appreciated being asked if we still wanted it. Within the past few months, my husband, myself and some friends have been going to Chili's more often. This is because the food has been great and the service is amazing. Just recently we went and I was so impressed. The host in the front was so nice, our server Coco was very attentive, and the food was GREAT! My husband got the smash burger and I always get the trio. I hope Chili's keeps it up because it is my new favorite spot to go out to eat with very affordable prices (which is so hard to come by now days). What's it good for? Drinks and Southwestern Egg Rolls. We are enticed by their commercials and ads. They have excellent marketing strategies. Their photo ads and menu presentations are the best I've seen. Not all restaurants can deliver and meet the senses that their ads propose. In the case of the sampler platter we ordered, approval nods go only to their Southwestern Egg Rolls. If the bar can get a separate rating that would be another 5 stars for their cocktails. I don't get the hate for this place it's pretty solid. Me and my wife used to frequent BJ's brewhouse but the prices have gotten so ridiculous there that we've gravitated to eating here as an alternative. Honestly the quality is pretty much the same but you get way more bang for your buck here. The staff has been nice and friendly every time that we've been but I know they probably have a high turnover rate with the staff. The prices are hard to beat and the food has never disappointed. We were so impressed with our service tonight from our waiter, Leo, so I had to take a moment and write this review in hopes the management will see and recognize him for his hard work. Normally we don't have the greatest of experiences with chain restaurant service, so we don't eat at restaurants often. But tonight we decided on a whim to go to Chilis and watch the A&M vs Bama game. It's clear that this location has stepped up its game in customer service - or maybe we just lucked out and interacted with some awesome team members this evening. Leo was kind, attentive, informative, and speedy with his service. We enjoyed his positive attitude, small talk, and could see that he was a positive team player with the rest of the staff too. As a nurse myself, I told my husband he's the type of person that would make a great nurse or leader in whatever field he's placed in, simply due to his personality and clear desire to do his job well and efficiently. I regret I didn't catch the names of the other employees that were a part of the teamwork, but I must point out the gentleman that sat us at our table and the gentleman that helped Leo out with serving food / drinks were also very kind, quick, and engaged in small talk about the game that made our experience warmer and all the more enjoyable. Our food was also super good. I ordered the margarita grilled chicken which was cooked to perfection, and my husband got a combo appetizer that had several things to try (mini burgers, chicken tenders, etc) which he also really enjoyed. We have stopped here many times as we travel from Dallas to San Antonio. The food is normally good and the service likewise. However, today, we we entered the restaurant with our masks on, absolutely not a single employee was wearing a mask. If they are 100% vaccinated, then they should post a sign to that effect. Came in with the wife and kids order drinks and after that we had enough time to finish our drinks wife and I both, our waitress walked by twice before she ask us if we were ready to order or if we needed a refill. Once we order she brought us the wrong drinks and on my food they put the wrong stuff on my food. I sent it back and and then sent it back with the wrong stuff on it and finally on the third time they just wiped it off a left or on the patty. I only wish I could give it lower then 1 star. Went for dinner with my parents. Usually there is a wait but we were seated right away. The place was filthy. The windows between our booth and the booth on the bar side were covered in little greasy handprints. I looked at the front doors and I don't think they've ever been cleaned. The floors were filthy especially the area back by the bathrooms. They have a server area by the back door that has junk piled up under it. I understand being short staffed but the greeter had nothing to do and should be cleaning the front windows. I was really disappointed in the condition of the restaurant. Some really cruddy reviews but I was in the mood for a Quesadilla Explosion Salad and to sit at the bar. It's my usual seating arrangement when I am on the road. There are several things that make bar service better than table service almost anywhere. First there is often 2 bartenders tag-teaming so it's easy to get what you want. Second, Bartenders are usually more experienced and bust their hump a bit more. Third, it always seems I am surprised how quickly my food is presented. Maybe they have more pull. On the off-chance something is wrong you have someone to tell right away-you hold them captive. Not in an inappropriate way, of course. I find the worst meal at Chili's is generally still good. I have been coming to this chili's for a very long time and it went very downhill. I just came in for dinner with my mother and first it took forever to get our appetizer and then we finally got our entree and the burger was so greasy it was a huge puddle on the tray and I fillet 2 napkins with grease just from my hands trying to eat it. Even though I came in shortly before closing he still had a smile and positive attitude unlike most restaurants would if I went in this late. (Short summary toward the bottom of this review) Issue: I ordered online. The payment page kept spooling. I tried the app. Same thing--spooling. I tried it once more online and once more on the app. Same result. Finally got an error message saying that I would need to pay inside. I go inside to wait for someone to man the cash register as everyone in the back seems to be ignoring myself and others waiting for their order. I'm not even sure if my order is even being made because I haven't paid. I had waited with 6+ other patrons (5 of them doesn't have a mask on either) to be serviced. Some realized their food is on a shelf that, frankly, anyone can come in and take, so they've been waiting unnecessarily. After waiting for more than 15 minutes, one of the cashiers are at the register and a customer who's checking his food strikes up a casual conversation with her. She stops what she's doing to complain about the workload. At this point, I left. I ordered through a competitor's app, was able to pay on the app, and pick up curbside, as I intended the entire time. Why I wrote this review: I am terrified--TERRIFIED--of this virus. And although I'm fully vaccinated, I have a toddler who doesn't qualify to get the vaccine (yet). When I order out, I purposefully order online and drive up to curbside for the sole purpose of minimizing contact as much as possible so that I don't contract/transmit to my little one. Summary: 1. Nothing was wrong with my credit card, the website and the app is the issue. 2. There are too many people in the To-Go space to allow proper social distancing (very small square footage). 3. The staff manning the registers should at least acknowledge when new persons arrive instead of pretending they aren't there. 4. My parents live in Temple and we've found ourselves eating at the location there twice now. Our location in Round Rock has been so disappointing that we don't even go anymore so I didn't sent my expectations high for this one. I was really happy to be pleasantly surprised with quality. Both times we had positive experiences with the waitstaff. They were friendly, quick, and accurate. We generally bring in a booster for our toddler but they were quick to offer a high chair and kids menu in case we wanted one. Those who ordered drinks from the bar got them quickly. Appetizers are out with enough time to actually enjoy them before your entrees show up. The food was hot and had good flavor. While we won't be going back to the one in our neighborhood, we will probably enjoy a meal at this location when we are in town visiting family. read more

We grab to go food on our way to rodeos in McGregor. We've done both a call in method and the mobile app. The food has been typical Chili's (YUM) and hot and fresh. Keeps us coming back. When you place food to go at Chili's, you deal with the bartenders. They are always hustlin' as usual. No problem. But I usually pick up on some tension between the staff on who is handling what..... The last 2x's, after inspecting my food (I do this before leaving with all to go orders) I have had no utensils. Her: I'm not sure Our server again: "I'm just waiting on those shrimp, salad, and your appetizer, but your steak is done." Am I in an alternate universe?? The table behind us with two adults and four children left because they never got served. They were seated before us, and we were there for an hour and twenty minutes.
