Tried to go eat lunch at the Temple chilis. Empty tables on both sides. Told the host we were on our lunch hour. He kept looking back and forth like there were no tables and said we would have the wait ten minutes for a table. We left and won't go back. read more

Probably our most frequent restaurant (esp from the kids' standpoints). It is typical Chili's. Tristan is our fav waiter. If you like Chili's menu, you will be fine at this location read more

Food & service was ok. Husband used the men's restroom and said it was filthy and no soap. All soap containers were empty, makes you wonder about employees washing their hands??? Personal he told didn't seem to concerned about it. read more

Chili's: where their food tastes like excrement and their desserts are the price of entrees. Waste all around, especially waste of time.

After waiting 40 mins for our meal, the steak was not the way we ordered. The server called the manager who arrived with two to-go boxes! We explained about the steak. She apologised about the lack of communication with the staff and offered to have the food to go. Why would we take the food if it isn't correct!!!!!! We left the food but had to pay for our sodas. I checked in online and waited 20 mins to get next in line just to find out I wasn't checked in until I came inside. NO where does it say that here. Now another 15 min wait. What the hell was the point of checking in. read more

Arriving ahead of reservation still couldn't get seated. Not enough staff to serve or in kitchen. People bailing out after waiting 20+ minutes. Poor management or low pay so individuals won't stay. I'm done with Chili's. read more

almost every time i've been to this location of chili's there has been a problem. Every time i order the guacamole there is a problem, most recent time i went there was an orange in it and the waitress just said "Oh wow" and had the face that it had happened before. A time before i ordered a side of broccoli and there was a hair in it! That or the wings are always cold. I go to chilis a lot, and this one has been bad almost every single time. I went to the one in killeen a couple days back, and no problems at all! Honestly even though i live in temple i'd rather drive to killeen every time. read more

I was reading through the reviews and to be honest I frequent this location because my son likes Chili's. I personally have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the food can be a little hit or miss but i think that's due to who is on the line at the time. Beer is always cold and I am happy that they added some new beers to their selection. Service has always been great. Friendly and attentive servers. I have never left there not feeling satisfied. read more

Came when the store was not very busy. Took 15 minutes to get a waiter to acknowledge us after we had been seated. We ordered an appetizer and entrees, all at the same time. I asked to make sure that the entree was brought out before the meal. (Because we have had this happen before) We waited 30 minutes before appetizer showed up. Had asked for a manager and the manager's attitude was nonchalant like it wasn't a big deal of waiting half an hour for an appetizer. Not even 2 minutes after our appetizer is out, here comes our entrees. Each time the waitstaff has been OK, but the kitchen has been slow and management didnt seem to really be all that concerned. Our waiter actually had to make our appetizers. Manager actually said that they ran out of food and the eggrolls were still frozen. On a Friday we arrived at 4:45pm.....how do you run a kitchen when it's slow and not prepped for the upcoming dinner shift??? On that note, no one even told us they did not have thawed food. Or even asked if we wanted something else. Poor management reflects with poor service, when you have poor service it's due to poor management. The "It's good enough" attitude is what causes problems and course poor service. Instead of going above and beyond for quality service its "meh" in here. I still tipped the waiter because he did try. Tips stand for TO INSURE PROMPT SERVICE. This was definitely not prompt service. When you have a poor management system it trickles down-the-line , therefore the lag in the kitchen reflects the lag in service. read more

Worst Chili's I've ever been to. Waited 15-20 minutes to be seated. Ok. Ordered drinks which came in a reasonable amount of time. They were out of chips, chips? Which they supposedly make on site? so we didn't get the appetizer we wanted. The food took 45 minutes possibly longer to arrive. The waitress came a few times to tell us sorry for the wait. The chicken fajita appeared to be a pack of frozen chicken they defrosted in the microwave. Definitely not cut and cooked on site. The steak appeared to be cooked on a pan or griddle. It was really only cooked on one side and looked like it wasn't flipped. Was ordered medium and it was well done even though it was only charred on one side. The manager came over and made a snide remark about the food not tasting good and I had to tell him we waited 45 minutes or more for a meal we would feed to the dog. Will never go back to this location. read more

It's Chili's. It's whatever. We took our nephews out and they put us in a high booth. The hostess said they didn't have any high chairs and gave us a booster. Total fail with a toddler that was basically climbing all over the table. Finally we asked our waitress for one and immediately got one...too bad they seated us at a high booth next to the kitchen exit... A bus boy complained and told us we "can't have a high chair because it's too close to the exit" like we just walked in and seated ourselves. Mediocre food, mediocre service. Waitress talked to us a handful of times and we had to order our dessert 3 times (it was apart of the 25 for 2 deal and def wasn't a secret) with 3 different people. read more

Me and my husband came in lastnight for our anniversary dinner and we LOVED our waitress GATOR! She was absolutely amazing! Me and my husband were honestly about to give up at chili's due to poor and slow service in the past but we decided to give it another try, I'm glad we did! I got a rack of ribs and my husband got the fajitas, so good! She brought our drinks in a good timely manner. Our chips were a bit too salty for my taste, but she took them back and brought out fresh ones for us! (Which did take a bit) BUUUT I totally understand severs get busy and we were ok with that! (I used to be a server) so we pay good money for good service! And Gator definitely deserved it! Thank you so much Gator for listening to us babble on and actually having a conversation with us (which not a lot of servers we had in the past ever did) and working hard to make our anniversary amazing! We will definitely be back and Gator now has another set of regulars! Can't wait to come back and visit. read more

I don't eat here often and I realized why we don't. Food mediocre fajitas tough and the quesadillas were mostly tortilla and the service is super slow. Made a to go order of chicken tenders for our daughter after we received ours and 25 minutes later still asking for our order. As I'm writing this it's now 30 since being ordered. The restaurant is half full. read more

Chili's is the best!! Always a great atmosphere, amazing food, friendly servers as well as managers, just all around my favorite place to go and eat. read more

The service is fine the food is not. They seem to do things quite differently at this location than others. I even order a cup of cheese for my nachos, and they gave me a tiny cup of shredded cheese topped with a few tomatoes. I was confused and called the resturaunt. i was told that was they way they served it . I went the second time and didn't receive much better. read more

Went to Chili's for a nightcap with my mate. Drinks were very expensive, and we were at the Bar, it was after 10 on a weeknight so not so busy. We had to wait forever for the bartender to acknowledge us, then we had to try to get his attention to get refills. We left him a cash tip but he also helped himself to an additional tip on the charge card. The last I heard that was stealing. read more

So first off my drink came after the appetizer came, The drink which was supposed to be a Long Island iced tea had too much sour mix in it. The next issue was the sliders that they have were raw. When my mail came out it was missing the chicken for which was given onto another plate. The quesadilla that I got was overwhelmed with spiciness and you cannot taste anything else inside of it. The ribs for which they are good for we're actually really good. I had the dry rub ribs. Then to the no fault of chilies the people that sat behind us were rude obnoxious and inconsiderate of the present atmosphere for which they were presenting themselves with. In other words the actor like 12 years olds. To include the way we have been seated should've just been spaced apart from others seeing that it was an earlier time in the day to where we didn't have to be crammed next to other people as if they were busy when they were not. Overall I will not be returning neither will be my family. I do believe the only things good tonight was the corn the ribs and the french fries everything else was subpar or ever or overwhelming. read more

We didn't have terrible service, besides our appetizer taking over 45 minutes to come out. (All we ordered besides beer) every single table around us had terrible service. People were waiting over an hour for food, a lady best to us ordered a quesadilla, and it took near an hour to come out. Another table next to us ordered fajitas and we could literally smell them burning and the smoke coming out of the kitchen from where we were sitting, they brought them to the table anyway, then the server was extremely shocked when the table sent the food back. Super terrible service. The table ended up leaving. The manager also tried to sit someone at a dirty table. I'm not sure if this location is just understaffed, but wait times were absolutely absurd. read more

I have been coming her for several years and never had a bad hostess and waiter , until tonight where this hostess and waiter treated use like garbage and was rude to us. I will never come back to this place and feel disrespected. Horrible service, horrible experience and everything they did ruined the night. read more

I really go here for the corn. There food is ok. The drink specials are not that great compared to apple bees and a couple others. The other food is ok. Never really to crowded. the corn itslef gives this place the 4 stars! read more

I am a HUGE fan of Chilis. But when I get no refill and have to wait for someone to take my ticket for ten minutes while the waitress sits at another booth taking, irritation is very high. I have waited tables, this is completely unacceptable behavior. Needless to say I will stick with the Chili's right down the street from me. Do NOT go here. read more

Usually Chili's has good food in a pinch, but avoid this location if you can. All food was lukewarm. The cheese that came with the soft pretzels was watery and the burger patties in the Big Mouth Bites were like hockey pucks. The chair backs had a nasty scummy film on them and the toilets looked like they hadn't been scrubbed in weeks. The good points: the hostess was friendly and was the only employee smiling and our drinks (sodas, iced tea) tasted normal. read more

Wow I really don't get the low reviews. My sister and I go here every now and then on our lunch breaks and we always get amazing food and fairly fast service for a cook to order establishment. The couple of times the food wasn't cooked perfect they immediately made us more and often would comp part of the meal like fee drinks. That's rare, however, and we've gone there for years and it hasn't happened in a long time. read more

Will never return to this Chili's. Never. I'll start from the beginning. A family member had soup a month or so ago at this Chili's location and got very ill shortly after. She had soup. Next trip we ordered take-out, and I ordered the guiltless chicken sandwich. They got the order wrong, and gave me the fattening one (with fries instead of broccoli), but no worries, I can still eat it, right? Wrong-o. The chicken was grossly undercooked. I called the manager after discovering this, and he said he would credit us for the entire meal purchase (a whopping 27 bucks). This credit was never applied to the credit card holder who paid for the meal. As a bonus, we waited a considerable amount of time at the bar waiting to be waited on. I won't risk getting another meal that could end up making me sick again. Never again will I return to this Chili's location. Not even if they actually paid me to eat there. It is not worth it. I should mention that my family and I love dining at other Chili's locations, however the service and quality of the food at the TEMPLE location is abysmal. How are they still open? read more

Surprised I never posted a review about my experience... Christmas Eve Eve I had the Cajun shrimp pasta from here and Christmas Eve I was in the hospital with food poisoning. Six open 4 tops and at least one open 2 top and an entire lobby full of people waiting...absolutely absurd.

Good drinks, good food, good service. What more can I say? This Chili's ranks among the best I've dined at.

Nice place to hang out. Low key, blue collar and not crowded. The staff is friendly and attentive. Very good finger foods like the southwestern egg rolls and buffalo wings are on point. read more

It'll do in a pinch...low quality food....good happpy hour prices....and close to my hotel

Great service from our waitress "Amber". Food was good and quick ticket time. On the flip side, the lighting was horrible in our stall but that's a small issue. read more

Poor poor poor service waited to be seated for the longest time till we decided to sit down next to family and friends. Waiters and waitresses just kept walking by and never ask us if we wanted to order. After we order nearly thirty minutes till we got fed up and wanted to leave to go somewhere else. Chili's will be closed down at this location if the service doesn't get better, will not be coming to waste my time!!! read more

I don't go here often, but have always heard good things. We were a party of 2, arrived around 730pm on a Friday. We expected to wait so no problem. The server was very friendly, but either she had too many tables or her head just wasn't in the game. My margarita came first, but the strawberry lemonade didn't arrive until much later. Ordered an appetizer and when it came to the table we still had no flatware or napkins. After our entree was brought to the table, we told our server that we needed flatware. Instead of bringing a fresh strawberry lemonade to the table when the glass was low, the glass was removed from the table , refilled and then returned; we had to ask for glasses of water, whereas normally the server offers to bring some. When the bill came, we were overcharged for the margarita. A manager was walking through to check on the service and we informed him about the overcharge. He apologized and corrected it immediately. Although I live in Temple, I probably will not return to this location in the near future. read more

Good, decent food, usually not crowded.... Too bad they don't have as good of a happy hour as Apple Bee's.

Dirty silverware. Gave me someone else bill the refused to correct the problem. Tried to use a Plenti card at this location twice and did not work on either visit. Avoid this location. read more

Above average chili's, cold beer and typical good food. I went with the Cajun chicken pasta and it was ok, needed more Cajun to it.

Love the new menu items. Accurate wait time was given and appreciated. They keep you waiting to avoid slamming the kitchen and ruining everyone's meals. Manager very politely explained this process and reasoning to a grumpy customer and was treated poorly in return. Kept his cool and moved along. read more
