almost every time i've been to this location of chili's there has been a problem. Every time i order the guacamole there is a problem, most recent time i went there was an orange in it and the waitress just said "Oh wow" and had the face that it had happened before. A time before i ordered a side of broccoli and there was a hair in it! That or the wings are always cold. I go to chilis a lot, and this one has been bad almost every single time. I was reading through the reviews and to be honest I frequent this location because my son likes Chili's. I personally have never had a bad experience. Sometimes the food can be a little hit or miss but i think that's due to who is on the line at the time. Beer is always cold and I am happy that they added some new beers to their selection. Came when the store was not very busy. Took 15 minutes to get a waiter to acknowledge us after we had been seated. We ordered an appetizer and entrees, all at the same time. I asked to make sure that the entree was brought out before the meal. (Because we have had this happen before) We waited 30 minutes before appetizer showed up. Had asked for a manager and the manager's attitude was nonchalant like it wasn't a big deal of waiting half an hour for an appetizer. Not even 2 minutes after our appetizer is out, here comes our entrees. Each time the waitstaff has been OK, but the kitchen has been slow and management didnt seem to really be all that concerned. Our waiter actually had to make our appetizers. Manager actually said that they ran out of food and the eggrolls were still frozen. On a Friday we arrived at 4:45pm.....how do you run a kitchen when it's slow and not prepped for the upcoming dinner shift??? On that note, no one even told us they did not have thawed food. Or even asked if we wanted something else. Poor management reflects with poor service, when you have poor service it's due to poor management. The "It's good enough" attitude is what causes problems and course poor service. Instead of going above and beyond for quality service its "meh" in here. I still tipped the waiter because he did try. Tips stand for TO INSURE PROMPT SERVICE. This was definitely not prompt service. It's Chili's. It's whatever. We took our nephews out and they put us in a high booth. The hostess said they didn't have any high chairs and gave us a booster. Total fail with a toddler that was basically climbing all over the table. Finally we asked our waitress for one and immediately got one...too bad they seated us at a high booth next to the kitchen exit... A bus boy complained and told us we "can't have a high chair because it's too close to the exit" like we just walked in and seated ourselves. Mediocre food, mediocre service. Worst Chili's I've ever been to. Waited 15-20 minutes to be seated. Ok. Ordered drinks which came in a reasonable amount of time. They were out of chips, chips? Which they supposedly make on site? so we didn't get the appetizer we wanted. The food took 45 minutes possibly longer to arrive. The waitress came a few times to tell us sorry for the wait. The chicken fajita appeared to be a pack of frozen chicken they defrosted in the microwave. Definitely not cut and cooked on site. The steak appeared to be cooked on a pan or griddle. It was really only cooked on one side and looked like it wasn't flipped. Was ordered medium and it was well done even though it was only charred on one side. The manager came over and made a snide remark about the food not tasting good and I had to tell him we waited 45 minutes or more for a meal we would feed to the dog. Me and my husband came in lastnight for our anniversary dinner and we LOVED our waitress GATOR! She was absolutely amazing! Me and my husband were honestly about to give up at chili's due to poor and slow service in the past but we decided to give it another try, I'm glad we did! I got a rack of ribs and my husband got the fajitas, so good! She brought our drinks in a good timely manner. Our chips were a bit too salty for my taste, but she took them back and brought out fresh ones for us! (Which did take a bit) BUUUT I totally understand severs get busy and we were ok with that! (I used to be a server) so we pay good money for good service! And Gator definitely deserved it! Thank you so much Gator for listening to us babble on and actually having a conversation with us (which not a lot of servers we had in the past ever did) and working hard to make our anniversary amazing! I don't eat here often and I realized why we don't. Food mediocre fajitas tough and the quesadillas were mostly tortilla and the service is super slow. Made a to go order of chicken tenders for our daughter after we received ours and 25 minutes later still asking for our order. As I'm writing this it's now 30 since being ordered. The service is fine the food is not. They seem to do things quite differently at this location than others. I even order a cup of cheese for my nachos, and they gave me a tiny cup of shredded cheese topped with a few tomatoes. So first off my drink came after the appetizer came, The drink which was supposed to be a Long Island iced tea had too much sour mix in it. The next issue was the sliders that they have were raw. When my mail came out it was missing the chicken for which was given onto another plate. The quesadilla that I got was overwhelmed with spiciness and you cannot taste anything else inside of it. The ribs for which they are good for we're actually really good. I had the dry rub ribs. Then to the no fault of chilies the people that sat behind us were rude obnoxious and inconsiderate of the present atmosphere for which they were presenting themselves with. In other words the actor like 12 years olds. To include the way we have been seated should've just been spaced apart from others seeing that it was an earlier time in the day to where we didn't have to be crammed next to other people as if they were busy when they were not. Overall I will not be returning neither will be my family. We didn't have terrible service, besides our appetizer taking over 45 minutes to come out. (All we ordered besides beer) every single table around us had terrible service. People were waiting over an hour for food, a lady best to us ordered a quesadilla, and it took near an hour to come out. Another table next to us ordered fajitas and we could literally smell them burning and the smoke coming out of the kitchen from where we were sitting, they brought them to the table anyway, then the server was extremely shocked when the table sent the food back. Super terrible service. The table ended up leaving. The manager also tried to sit someone at a dirty table. Wow I really don't get the low reviews. My sister and I go here every now and then on our lunch breaks and we always get amazing food and fairly fast service for a cook to order establishment. The couple of times the food wasn't cooked perfect they immediately made us more and often would comp part of the meal like fee drinks. Went to Chili's for a nightcap with my mate. Drinks were very expensive, and we were at the Bar, it was after 10 on a weeknight so not so busy. We had to wait forever for the bartender to acknowledge us, then we had to try to get his attention to get refills. We left him a cash tip but he also helped himself to an additional tip on the charge card. The last I heard that was stealing. read more

I don't go here often, but have always heard good things. We were a party of 2, arrived around 730pm on a Friday. We expected to wait so no problem. The server was very friendly, but either she had too many tables or her head just wasn't in the game. My margarita came first, but the strawberry lemonade didn't arrive until much later. Ordered an appetizer and when it came to the table we still had no flatware or napkins. After our entree was brought to the table, we told our server that we needed flatware. Instead of bringing a fresh strawberry lemonade to the table when the glass was low, the glass was removed from the table , refilled and then returned; we had to ask for glasses of water, whereas normally the server offers to bring some. When the bill came, we were overcharged for the margarita. A manager was walking through to check on the service and we informed him about the overcharge. He apologized and corrected it immediately. Although I live in Temple, I probably will not return to this location in the near future. read more

Usually Chili's has good food in a pinch, but avoid this location if you can. All food was lukewarm. The cheese that came with the soft pretzels was watery and the burger patties in the Big Mouth Bites were like hockey pucks. The chair backs had a nasty scummy film on them and the toilets looked like they hadn't been scrubbed in weeks. Will never return to this Chili's. Never. I'll start from the beginning. A family member had soup a month or so ago at this Chili's location and got very ill shortly after. She had soup. Next trip we ordered take-out, and I ordered the guiltless chicken sandwich. They got the order wrong, and gave me the fattening one (with fries instead of broccoli), but no worries, I can still eat it, right? Wrong-o. The chicken was grossly undercooked. I called the manager after discovering this, and he said he would credit us for the entire meal purchase (a whopping 27 bucks). This credit was never applied to the credit card holder who paid for the meal. As a bonus, we waited a considerable amount of time at the bar waiting to be waited on. I won't risk getting another meal that could end up making me sick again. Never again will I return to this Chili's location. Not even if they actually paid me to eat there. It is not worth it. I should mention that my family and I love dining at other Chili's locations, however the service and quality of the food at the TEMPLE location is abysmal. How are they still open? read more

Too bad you can't select negative stars to rate it!!!! worst lunch ever!!!!!! went there with 4 people (2 were older kids) first we waited well over 45 minutes to get our food. I was on my lunch break and ended up not being able to eat my lunch. My mother's soup came out ice cold and then her chicken sandwich came out cold and not cooked all the way. mind you we only ordered 2 mac and cheese meals for the kids, i had a burger and my mother had the lunch sandwich/soup. the male server (sorry i didn't catch his name) was very nice but the female server that took over waiting on us was rude and unhelpful. when my mom made a comment about the chicken sandwich being terrible, the server just ignored her and walked off. And I will add that it was after 1 and there was no big lunch crowd and there were plenty of tables so not sure why the service was so terrible. I'll start by saying that the food is normally good and I've never had bad customer service. However, if you order to go, always check your order before you leave the place!
