I have been to this Chili's restaurant in Simi Valley several times, and I've never been disappointed. The staff is able to accommodate parties of all sizes, with my visits ranging between a party of two to a party of 17. Whenever I have come here with a large party, we've always made a reservation in advance; but I have come here a few times, spontaneously, with a smaller group. In every scenario, the host/hostess has always been able to seat us relatively quickly, and our waiter/waitress is almost always attentive and pleasant. Every time I have been to this location, the food has been excellent. Most of the time I like to get one of their burgers, but I have occasionally strayed from my norm and ordered something different. I've never had a bad meal here, and I've never had bad service. Throughout all my visits here, I've either had a 4- or a 5-star experience, so they have convinced me that they are consistently an excellent place to eat. We eat out once a week and for some reason we completely forgot about Chili's... until this week. When it came time to discuss where we should get dinner someone mentioned Chili's and everyone agreed. The menu is large, but not overwhelmingly so. They have a great selection to choose from and everything sounded great! We ordered our meal with the curbside pickup option and the food was brought to our door in moments. When it arrived home everything was still nice and warm. We didn't have to reheat a single thing! We ordered the guacamole and chips to start and it was delicious. The guac was creamy and the chips were salty with the perfect crunch. Next we moved on to our main course and everything was delicious. Make sure to try the roasted street corn! Chili's in general is alright. The food is okay and the price is decently cheap. This location is probably the average Chili's experience. The service was nice and it wasn't too loud but nothing was exceptional either. My favorite thing at Chili's is the bottomless chips. Another L for Simi Valley. I've been here many many times and it's been average at best but has really gone downhill since. There are tables , food is awful and they seem understaffed. The floors inside and restroom looked like it haven't been cleaned in months!! The kitchen floor looked like a disaster area. I waited 45 minute for a cold burger. Reviews are valid / this chilis is in rhe bottom ten percent for sure of all chilis locations. Expect to spend about an hour and a half to two hours here at any given point. We both chose a salad as the additional side. I asked for mayo and mustard on the burger buns but only came with slight mayo. The burger pattie was quarter pound size and cooked well but absolutely no seasoning on the pattie. Dressed with finely sliced lettuce, tomato slice and a little bit of pickle. The fries were tough as if they had been sitting for a bit. The service was overall good. Just expected a tastier burger and way better French fries. Never consist, never know what kind of service your going to get or the quality of the food you will receive. Especially their rice and broccoli.The rice is dry and the broccoli is hard. I always send the broccoli back and the rice I never eat,always dry.Maybe the way you store your rice on the steam table or if its held in MPH handling unit. Your line cooks should always taste the food,during your off peaks hours and an before lunch and dinner. Managers should also check the line,follow up with your cooks,because it's not being done for me to right this review. Not sure why you also have so many microwaves on your line. I wanted to say that our waitress Lauren I believe her name was, was very attentive, not over the top and made a great recommendation of the tortilla soup which I had never tried but really enjoyed. We also received our food in a decent amount of time and the food was just really appetizing as well. I ordered the sirloin steak with broccoli and loaded potatoes, everything pleased my tastebuds like crazy. I usually go to the Northridge or Encino locations but this one in Simi just hits differently. Thankfully they do seem to have a food runner, but I have seen servers bussing their tables as well. It's a lot. 2) The kiosk machines. I love them - makes my visit so much easier, but they are gross. Always sticky...always have food caked on. Just bad. Would it kill you to thoroughly wipe them down each night? We waited almost 40 minutes to receive our drinks of water with lemon.... we also ordered two margaritas they were never delivered to the table well after we were almost done with our food and beyond freezing so we finished our meals that took almost an hour and 15 minutes to receive. Our experience at this Chili's was positive. Jake, our server, was friendly, attentive and accurate with our order. Our Triple Dipper appetizer came out right away shortly after our beverages (their flavored iced teas are so refreshing). For dinner, I had the Ancho Salmon, which came with rice and broccoli - simple, tasty, and perfect if you don't want a heavy meal. My boyfriend, on the other hand, had the steak fajitas and I was low-key jealous with the sizzling, the amount of meat, and boat of ingredients. I reminded myself that we had a 2 and a half hour drive ahead of us (I did all the driving), and fajitas would've been too heavy for me. Such a great choice today to take advantage of their 3 for 10 dolars special. Since my company moved to Simi Valley, I started trying places here since we don't have a fridge in the office yet. I had a reward to use for their 3 for 10 dollars special going so I was able to get my sirloin steak. For my sides I just got double fries and chips/salsa for my appetizers. I was bummed they didn't have the Texas fries as an option. Ordering online and selecting curbside pickup was so easy. When it was my time to go pick up my order, I was the only one there probably cause I put in my order right when they open. This Chili's location is shared with Costco so be prepare for the traffic inside the lot while going in and exiting. When I pulled up to the designated pickup spot, I sent a text that I was there and someone came out within 5 minutes to give me my order. The lady was very friendly and made sure I had all my sauces in the bag. I love their Sirloin Steak, keep in mind when you get your food that's hot .. open the container a little bit so the steam escape and doesn't continue to cook your food. I generally like Chili's, and have fond memories going back to watching the Lakers in the 90's in the bar at the Oxnard location. Had a memorable family meal at the Westwood location about 8 years ago when we inhaled the molton chocolate cake for a birthday meal, then all laughed at how we couldn't stop to speak till it was finished. Sat with friends as they shared their loot from attending the Ellen Show about 6 years ago, including a diamond necklace. Lots of fun times. . . That said, have only been to the Simi restaurant a few times over the past years. We went two nights ago with our Adored Grandson. AG and Papa shared a half rack of ribs. I was surprised when they came with fries on the side. Often, the accompaniment might be cole slaw and beans, or maybe corn on the cob. My turkey club sandwich was exceptionally tasty. And filling - brought half home, where it made a good lunch the next day. The reason I am only giving 3 stars is that our server was so busy being efficient that she moved too fast. She clipped her words and spoke so rapidly that it was hard to understand her. Which became more annoying add time went by. There were also cleaning materials left out on one of the wall dividers in view of dining guests. Seemed tacky. The rewards computer at our table wouldn't boot properly, so I wasn't able to post my points. The menu has changed and prices have crept up more than I expected. Also, my strawberry lemonade was very weak on the strawberry side. A number of little things knocked down the overall experience.
