Chili's is my favorite restaurant chain, and I go in to each one with high expectations. One thing you can depend on is great, thin, crispy chips with delicious salsa, and this was no exception. That was the high-water mark. Note to self: don't get the Honey-Chipotle Big Crispy Chicken Sandwich again. That's on me. What's not on me is sub-par service, especially disappearing for a half-hour right as we needed to leave. We tipped accordingly. My family and I waited over 20 minutes just for our drink order to be taken on Monday July 28th. We finally walked out after making eye contact with multiple servers continuing not to get service at all. Keep in mind people that came in after us were served their drinks immediately and it was no where near busy. This Chili's has seen some ups and downs since it started. Service is at times amazing and other times not so great. Depends on who you get as a waiter/waitress. The meals are typically fairly priced and there is a lot of good options. Seems to have undergone some recent renovations which I enjoy. Doesn't feel as cramped in the restaurant as it used to. I like the fajita meal and some of the lighter choices such as the Margarita Grilled Chicken. Appetizers are pretty solid and chips/salsa are very good! The drink options are great too. This location does have a bar and multiple TV's which typically have sports on. Seats are comfy and restaurant is well maintained. Location is perfect right off Highway 26. Parking is plentiful. *UPDATE* 12/09/17 Last visit was very unpleasant. Food was bland. Ribs I received were so chewy I had to spit it out. Drinks weren't made well either sadly. Took a trip out to Nebraska for work and came across this gem of a chain. From my past experiences they've seem to have stepped up their menu with different choices. Service: I sat at the bar where the service was on par. The bartender regularly filled my iced tea, answered my questions, and checked in with me occasionally. Food: For a chain I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a house salad that seemed fresh enough. For the main lunch I got the smoked chicken quesadillas with a green roasted aioli sauce. I could actually taste the smokiness of the chicken while the peppers and onions were sautéed well carrying that same flavor. The aioli sauce made the dish much better as I drenched each piece. I'm not a huge fries fan but they were OK. Overall, this is a solid place for a quick lunch but then again, Scottsbluff, Nebraska isn't known to be a foodie town haha. read more

We grabbed some bar seats, a cowboy playing the roll of bartender was quick in the saddle and rode up to rope us in. I think it took him 8 seconds to get to us. Coby was his name, he wore a rodeo champion buckle, and struck me as a nice kid. No black hat there. He made a beer suggestion, I was pleased with the call. Giddy up! We placed our order, i went with beans, and Cookie went ta cookin...kidding...Blazing Saddles. I ordered the chicken avocado sammich, pretty darn good, brioche roll? When Chili's first reopened for indoor dining, their staff was down and we understood perfectly. However, they have now been reopened for quite a while. Yesterday, a Saturday at noon, more than half the seating was available. The couple ahead of us we're told that there would be about a ten minute wait. He asked, "why? I see many tables & booths available for seating?" He was told that to seat more patrons at this time would cause an undue burden on the servers to give prompt service. So, I don't usually feel a need to leave a review for Chili's. I mean, you pretty much know what you're going to get when you walk in the door. This was true for us too, but I saw the low rating and feel like I need to talk about our experience. Based on the others reviews, I did not have high expectations, but we were getting to town at a weird time, with hungry boys that wanted to get to the hotel to swim/break up our long road trip. We picked Chili's (despite the low number or stars) because we have significant food allergies that are hard to work around. There may be more local flavor, but we have to be careful and the allergies (Celiac and dairy) cut out a lot of the good stuff. We've been in less than stellar Chili's of late (you know the type- greasy film all over menus, tables, windows, everything), but figured it was quick and the boys would know what to expect. It really was the cleanest Chili's I've been in in years. Our waiter (I later realized was the manager as he was handling staff related issues) was a pro about the food allergies. He spoke of his own family member dealing with something similar and how not fun it is. He was great with my boys-spoke directly to them, and stayed on top of the chips and drinks, which was no easy feat considering we were starving. For real, the allergy thing is so appreciated! We have experiences all the time where people just don't understand and don't prioritize it. This can lead to trouble for us down the road. So, when he changed the chicken on my salad to be grilled and it actually came out that way (meaning, I didn't have to wait for them to make another when they forgot it) I knew I'd write a review. Thanks Chili's! I'm sure it is hard to keep trained staff way out here, so I'm not discounting others experiences. Just wanted to say that at least someone there knew how to get it right! This was the worst meal I have ever had at Chili's. Their "signature" chili was extremely salty and inedible. The brisket was way over cooked--dry and cooked to a crisp. They over salted everything, and put a ton of mustard on my Husband's cheeseburger. When the waitress was told this, she did not offer to let us speak to a manager or anything else. Used to be our go to restaurant in Scottsbluff. But the last 4 or 5 months, something has changed. Saturday around 430 no hostess to be found...not uncommon recently. So we wait and finally get acknowledged. Order chips and salsa. Waitress comes back and says they are out of chips. How is that possible? Even a run on the restaurant between two and three shouldn't clean you out of chips and salsa. Bummer. Wait staff severely understaffed. Manager was behind bar, helping seat people and greet. Wait has been so long at the front that people have started seating themselves which I know create havoc for the wait staff. I really hope the owners can fix this problem as we really enjoy this restaurant. But won't be back anytime soon based on multiple past experiences. Well starting off pretty good with blackberry margaritas and a free sample of the pineapple,blueberry margaritas. The main dish chicken and beef enchiladas were nothing that brought you a wow factor. The rice and black beans were also there but again nothing to set them apart from any other fast food place. Should most likely drank supper. Stay with the burgers and other entrees. Chili's Scottsbluff, One of the only places I have found to correctly make a steak. That is a bonus to me. Also the make one of the best Margarita's I have ever had.
