Bad, horrible, awful. The absolute worst service and dining experience. Went for a birthday, waited over an hour for 4 meals and drinks. Server told us that because she wasn't supposed to be our waitress, she was having to serve us when she had time. There were maybe 7 full tables in the whole place with people. Not exaggerating, someone dropped ranch dressing and every employee including the host walked over it the whole time. IT WAS SPILLED BY THE HOST STATION. I am shocked at the poor service we received. The Texas cheese fries were like a brick. Just a solid mass of cold fries and disappointment. I used to come here a lot in high school and college and it was a fun place with good food. Not anymore. With the way Ruston is growing and all the new food coming in, I give this location maybe a year before they close. What a disgrace to Ruston and the Chili's brand. read more

I have to give this Chili's credit where credit is due. Sadly I see the 1 star reviews that exist and figured I should add my two cents to not scare away any potential customers that actually check Yelp first. This place is your standard Chili's and at that, is actually a bit nicer presented and the staff is even friendlier than most. My friend and I went on a girls night date here and shared the two for $35 deal (an app, two margaritas, two entrees, and dessert) and we were checked on frequently by the waitress, she even offered suggestions. She brought us extra napkins when asked, always refilled our drinks - nothing but exceptional. We were seated immediately, to address the other poor review, so perhaps that was a crazy busy night, not sure why ANYTHING in Ruston would have a 3 hour wait. That is ridiculous and for a place with no traffic, I don't see how anything here could be that populated in one given moment. However, reading the fine lines of the review - there was a special engagement going on which makes sense... I would've gone somewhere else then. I would definitely come back here again if in the mood for a great deal or 2 for 1 drinks. Nothing beats there margarita specials. And they are strong and yummy too. Win win. read more

This Chili's was towards the bottom end of any Chili's I've visited. The restaurant was somewhat dirty and unorganized. While the staff were not rude or poor I just felt they were not overly happy to be employed or like people very much maybe. Felt like they couldn't wait to all get out of there, kinda like myself. The air conditioner was also set at about -20 and I'm usually not one to complain about cold rooms, might be the only place in LA that you need a jacket. We are a college group that frequently travels together and has made a tradition of eating at a Chili's on the way home. Unfortunately, this was one of our worst experiences and definitely my worst one personally at a Chili's. First, we came in and they said they didn't have any room and didn't act like they would any time soon. As we persisted they said a table would be ready in under 10 minutes, which conveniently it was. Next, after waiting for our server longer than is usually considered normal, he was noticeably unfriendly. Thirdly, we waited excessively long for our food which came out extremely mixed up. For example, I ordered a side of corn while my friend had fries. When the food came out he and 2 other friends who did not order corn or anything that came with corn, had it and I had no sides. When I asked about my corn he brought fries which I exchanged with my friend for corn. Overall it was a disappointing experience for our whole group. The only reason I gave it as many stars as I did is because the food itself was good as expected. read more

I agree with a previous poster who said that it has recently gone downhill. It used to be one of my frequent stops and the food is still good, but the staff is almost nonexistent. Instead of one or two isolated events of bad staff experiences, it's one or two isolated events of a good waiter. It takes at least 20 minutes to get a table (even when no one is eating in the restaurant) mainly because the host/hostess is nowhere to be seen. Then once you are there it takes forever to get your orders and for them to bring your food. However, food is good but because of the bad service it usually comes out cool or warm instead of hot. I still go hoping that it'll change but I keep getting proven wrong. read more

Waitress was super nice but got my order wrong and had to ask for refills several times. I received my food several minutes before my husband which was awkward while he sat there waiting on his. It was hard to find her and it made our experience unpleasant. I can't say we will be back. read more

I'd rather go to the one in West Monroe... The wait staff takes forever. On some (particularly busy) nights you can hear the kitchen staff yelling at each other. The food is sub-par even for a chilis. I've only eaten here a handful of times and I don't intend to make it any more. read more

This is for Togo orders specifically. I ordered through the app and asked for it to be curbside. I arrived about 10 minutes before I was told my food would be ready, no problem, and so I waited. I saw my food inside be put on a counter and left there. A server was going back and forth from the Togo station to somewhere I couldn't see. I waited for about 5 minutes before finally going inside to get it myself. The most ridiculous part is when I gave the woman my name on the order she said, "You had curbside, right?" Yes, that means you were supposed to bring me my food when it was ready and I texted the automated number that I was here. Service overall is poor, food is decent. read more

I normally don't leave negative reviews bc I know how reviews can affect a company. But I think in this case maybe it will get someone's attention who can do something about it. We love Chilis. But for last three times we have gone to the Ruston location the service has been horrible. Today we went back to try it again. It took ten minutes before Anyone took our drink order. When we finally got the chips and drinks the drinks were all wrong and very little ice. We asked for it to me corrected. After waiting and seeing the waiter several more times we decided to just leave. We paid for the chips but I refused to pay for the drinks. They offered free coupons but I refused those too. We won't go back to that location. I should also say it was not busy at all. read more

Haven't figured out why people continue to go here. Service has tanked over the last few years. Takes forever to get service and food. Last time I ate there the chicken tenders were tough and almost seemed to either be overcooked or reheated. Worst chillis ever! My coworkers and I have a saying that chillis is "consistently average" and we chose chillis quite often during our travels. We arrived at 9pm and stood at the door for 6-7 minutes before someone even came to seat us. Once we were seated the poor service didn't end there. The service wasn't atrocious, but it was certainly sub par. Once our sales came out, 30 minutes later, the chicken on them was a joke. We had 3 different grilled chicken salads, and not one piece of chicken had a grill mark, mine appeared to not even have seasoning on it and tasted as such. My coworkers had cold chicken and warm lettuce. All three of us that got salads ending up sending them back and leaving. The 4th guy got chicken crispers and they were by far the smallest portion of chicken crispers I've ever seen served. It appeared as though the kitchen staff had already started to clean for the night and were trying to do the absolute least possible to prepare out meals in a reasonable fashion. read more

This restaurant gets a bad rap in the reviews, but it is quite honestly one of the easiest places in Ruston to get in and get a decent meal for cheap! We go in often on weekends to see the friendly bartender and get drinks (especially draft beer) at the best prices! If you don't like this place, your expectations may be too high for a $10 meal. Terrible! My party waited for 3 hours to be seated! (we met family here while passing through because my elderly father wanted to eat there.) They had roped off an entire section for a high school girl's ball team, and they were there for forever with all the other potential customers waiting outside in the cold. Sometimes a franchise does almost everything right. My food was exactly how I wanted it, the servers were friendly, and the location was pretty clean. What could have made it a five star visit to chili's? I would have to say that our initial walk-in was strange, the greeter lady clearly didn't want to be there. Never again! Doesn't even deserve the one star. I had not eaten at a Chili's in a long time and decided to give it a try. Disappointed in menu choices. Did not realize they had gone completely Tex Mex or burgers. I ordered one of the lunch specials, and when my chili finally arrived it was cold. After the waitress explained that we could pay with a card at the table, and made sure to ask us to give her a good review, we told her we would be paying cash. She never brought us a ticket, just took our cash and brought back change with no printed ticket. The place was freezing!! This is not just me saying it was cold, most of the other customers were complaining about the temperature too. The music was so loud you could not carry on a decent conversation. I have no idea how this place is still in business. I called on a Thursday night to place a Togo order. They do not close until 11. I called at 9:20ish the first time to order a triple dipper then Man told me they were out of burger bites and egg rolls. I hung up and me and my coworkers thought of something else to eat there. When I called back to order around 9:40 the lady on the phone told me they were out of pickles, avocado, and a bunch of other stuff. I proceeded with my order and then she tells me they are no longer taking Togo orders. Horrible customer service on the phone, I can't imagine how the dine-in experience would have been. read more

Do I have to give this Chili's any star? This is by far THE WORSE Chili's I have EVER been to. My sirloin was ordered at medium it came out an hour and a half later as beef jerky (not exaggerated) and I had more broccoli than I had steak. My friend's and my niece's hamburger was like ground beef jerky. It took about 45 minutes just to get chips and salsa. Overall, we were in the restaurant for 2 hours with about an hour and a half waiting for our food. I will be contacting this corporate office. read more

My kids love Chili's so it's usually their choice when we are out. Even they hated this one. We were seated quickly at 11:15 on a Friday. We were one of 5 tables of small groups, 2-4 people. There were 4 servers and a bar tender in addition t the manager and hostess. We waited for 15 minutes before anyone brought menus or offered drinks. Then we waited another 15 minutes to receive drinks and our server bustled off before we could order. We waited another twenty minutes to order our food. I watched the kitchen staff plate our food with their bare hands. I used the ziosk at our table to order refills and dessert. My kids couldn't understand with a near to empty place what was taking so long, where our server was when they needed refills. Four starving kids wolfed their food down and we left almost immediately at 1 pm. The food was fine and our server perfectly nice, so 2 stars, just so slow and unconcerned about taking care of patrons. We won't be back. read more

This chili's has bad plus rude service and food. My daughter and I ate hear around 10pm one night. It took so long for our waitress to take our drink order and bring us our drinks.. I had to ask some other waitress to find our waitress. The night staff lets selected people smoke in this restaurant.. This is a non-smoking establishment.. I personally ask my waitress Emily if it was a smoking restaurant. She told me no. My question would be. Why are they letting people smoke cigarettes in a restaurant they do not own. DO NOT ORDER PRIME RIB!!! I love Chili's sirloin and salmon, but tonight I decided to try their new prime rib fajitas. What I got was absolutely nothing like the picture. It looked like they took the prime rib and put it in a blender with some water. It was runny slop that looked like wet dog food. The service time and order accuracy was horrible! Ordered queso and chips it was 20+ minutes before we got them. We ordered fish tacos, hamburger without peppers, shrimp Alfredo, bbq hamburger. The fish taco came out shrimp and the beans were ice cold, my hamburger had peppers (requested without) and the the other one did not have BBQ sauce and was burnt. Consistent horrible customer service award goes to.....(drumroll) Chili's Grill & Bar Ruston #1052. The last three visits my simple order has been screwed to hell! Not only did the person taking the order mess it up but the bartender screwed it up then the manager treys to fix it and you guess it.... Screwed up to. This is all in one visit for a burger no bacon and sweet potato fries. How hard is that? After I went back in and showed the manager the bacon and cold regular fries she just gave me she asked me to hold on so that she could get the order right... A hour has past at this point and I'm like "NO!" My frustration has to surpassed my hunger. And I'm guilty because I tossed the burger out the window at the first red-light along I-20 W. I typed an entire review about a week ago but had to download Yelp to post it so it was deleted. We went on a Tuesday night about a week ago. Bottom line, we had horrible service. Our bartender was more concerned with flirting with the girls across the way than he was with making our drinks. Darrick also acted annoyed as if we were asking too much of him. We waiting an hour and a half to finally get our to-go orders. When we got into the parking lot I realized I needed condiments. I went back to the door and it was locked. I stood there banging on this door while employees ignored me. I had to call them to get there attention. They then had me wait outside in the cold for them to bring it to me. I took my 2 granddaughters for lunch and I have been numerous times. The waitress was rude and very unprofessional. Took forever to be waited on and when taking drink order ask for water with lemon and told me she would have to cut lemons. When received drinks there was no lemon and I mentioned to waitress and she said I told you I have to cut them! When she finally brought lemons she slammed the bowl of lemons on our table. This kind of behavior lasted the entire time. I left a tip but regretted it after I left. The food was not its best and this is a place we go to often.
