The 1.5 T-bone we ordered medium & though it was flavorful, some parts were med rare, some med well & also medium. Overall we will visit when back in town.

The shrimp Poboy featured 6 huge shrimp! I loved it! It was lightly seasoned and the shrimp were perfectly cooked and juicy. My wife's gumbo was very peppery, she knew that it would be from previous visits and she wasn't disappointed. She told me she would be able to eat only one or two spoonfuls at a time before taking a drink. But she ate the whole bowl! The decor is vintage. There are all kinds of Budweiser mobiles and pub mirrors on the walls. There was even a vintage cigarette vending machine with pull knobs for each selection! The machine was not in use but it was still fun to see.

We had a great meal at Roxie's Southern Bistro. I ordered…read morethe oxtails with rice and candied yams, and both were excellent. The oxtails were tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. My only suggestion would be to include a few more pieces, as the portion could have been a bit larger. For dessert, I had the peach cobbler, and it was delicious--the perfect way to finish the meal. The only downside was the restaurant's new policy of adding a delivery fee to all carryout orders. I placed my order to go and waited at the bar until it was ready, then took it home myself. Since I picked up my own food, I don't believe a delivery fee is appropriate. The server explained that this fee is now applied to all carryout orders. That extra charge is the only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars. The food was very good, and I'd definitely return, but I hope they reconsider this policy because it takes away from an otherwise excellent dining experience.

The shrimp and sausage appetizer was another standout, with both cooked well and tasting great. We also tried the smoked salmon, which was fresh and delicious. For the main course, I had the ribeye topped with their house sauce. It reminded me of a house-made version of A1 steak sauce--rich, tangy, and a great complement to the steak. The sides were just as enjoyable. The mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, but the grits were the real surprise. They were outstanding and easily my favorite side of the meal. Overall, the food was well-prepared, flavorful, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you're looking for a quality steakhouse with excellent appetizers and delicious sides, Okaloosa is definitely worth a visit.

They were super busy, and they had given away the reservation...but luckily- there were a few open tables! Bar was backed up a bit, but pomegranate martini was on point, and Bonanza Cab was tasty. Duck wraps were ok. Could use more glaze as a finish. Oysters Rockefeller were really good- they didn't scrimp on the spinach for sure!! Karli was slammed, but super sweet and personable. Shrimp primavera w/caesar was flavorful with plenty of shrimp & fresh veges. Caesar was awesome. Halibut was moist, sauce was tasty, but would definitely ask for more sauce! Caesar was good, small mistake of asking for the dressing on the side and it was on the salad. Spinach Madeline was delicious!! Red Fish was a bit overdone. Didn't know the fish and the twice baked potato casserole (it is a casserole and not a single twice baked potato) would be spicy (for me). There wasn't any sauce on the fish vs it came blackened - different from what the menu said. I would get a different side other than the twice baked casserole on the next visit. Overall, good vibe- 1 tv playing football behind the bar, there is a covered patio adjacent to the main dining area, and relaxed. Some were eating at the bar also. Will be back to order and try different menu items.

We were in the restaurant nearly 2 hours between waiting for our order to be taken and waiting for the food to arrive. The ugly: the service was very lacking, our drinks were never refilled in the hour after getting them the first time to when our food arrived. The waitress also failed to mention that changing our side to onion rings would result in a charge for a full appetizer rather than the "up charge" she said it would be upon initially ordering. Overall: we will not be returning.
