My roommate and I decided last night to try their to go order system. It was great, easy to use web site and payment and they where ready exactly when they said they where. The young lady who brought our order out was awesome and the only complaint was missing items, no big deal didn't need french fries. I will definitely be using this service again, I had the most amazing sticky yummy chicken and waffles. The waffles were Belgian and OMG yummy! We also got some cheese curds and my buddy had shrimp tacos which he consumed so fast I though he only got 1 taco! Our mistake - doing take out on Mother's Day. Their mistake - getting the order completely wrong. And with it being takeout and we live no where near Chili's, we were kind of stuck with it. Food is good enough. We went early at 11am. They were not busy which makes the mediocre service not acceptable. I got the chicken fajitas. They had microwaved my three tortillas into oblivion. Being a fat guy and not one to wait or send food back, I got to work. The chicken and veggies were great. Waitress didn't come back for a good 15 minutes. That means I got no more tortillas. She asked If I needed more tortillas, but my plate was clearly empty. Good job on timing! My wife got the cheeseburger sliders, they were delicious and the fries were wonderful. I love this Chili's. Yes, i know it's a chain resturaunt, but the service is always good here. I love the El Nino Margaritas. The menu selection isn't overbearing. The chicken avocado sandwich is huge and flavorful. But my personal fav is the 6 oz. Classic Sirloin with Grilled Avocado. Yum! The prices are reasonable. It's been many years since I've been to Chilis. I went tonight with a group of friends. Mom had a coupon for Free Chips and Salsa/Queso/Guacamole, for downloading the Chilis app, so that was cool. We opted for the "queso" which was a gross mix of what tasted like Velveeta and canned chili. Sorry, but YUCK. We got salsa with it too and that was ok. For dinner I got one of their current Smokehouse Platters with chicken strips and ribs both with Honey Chipotle BBQ Sauce, fries, and Mexican Style corn on the cob. The ribs were good. Tender, meaty, and the perfect amount t of sauce. The 3 chicken strips were small and sad. They really amounted to on full chicken strip. I almost asked for more because they were so small, but I didn't have the mental energy to deal with it. Mom had a 6oz Sirloin, Medium Rare with Mashed Potatoes and Corn. She said her steak was bland and rubbery. I could tell it wasn't gonna be good because when I saw it, there were no grill marks or a nice sear on it. I make a better steak at home on my grill! The other 5 people said there food was ok, nothing special. But it's Chilis, it's what we expect. Ok food at ok prices. Our server Amanda was AWESOME! Friendly, knowledgeable, fast, just an all sound great server! She was tipped VERY well! Thank you, Amanda! Overall, Chilis is just a run of the mill, mid level chain restaurant. I don't expect anything amazing when I come here, just an average experience which is what we got tonight. And that's ok, it's not necessarily a bad thing. I don't know what else to say about Chili's! I love love love their watermelon lemonade--it is by far the best lemonade I have ever tasted. Their lemonade is made fresh everyday and when they run out, they quickly make more. I personally love the 2 for $20 thing they have going on. It's wonderful and really is affordable (if you have another person that is lol). I stay simple and either get the chicken strips or the cajun chicken pasta which are both very good. I substitute the corn that comes with the chicken strips with extra fries because the fries there are good as well. It's a weird thing to write about but I have to comment on the ranch as well. The ranch is not the best ranch I've tasted, but it is still very very good. My boyfriend and I ordered desert here the last time we went and the desert is great too. The warm chocolate chip cookie in the pan along with the cold vanilla ice cream was yummy. The service is always good when we go to Chili's and needless to say it is our go to place when we have no idea where to go for dinner. read more

We had a great time. I had my daughter and my nephew with us. I had the spicy shrimp tacos and my wife had a jalapeno margarita. She shared the jalapenos with me. They were very fresh and spicy I loved it. The kids had dessert and shared with both of us, and both dishes were very delicious. Our server's name was Rose. She had tattoos they were awesome and she provided excellent service. With the distraction of the tabletop touch screen video game I was a little distracted from the food for a moment which made me feel rushed a little when asked how my meal was after being served before I was even halfway through it. Never had such horrible service here as we did today. I went with my 2 daughter's, my grandson and then my husband joined us after about 30 minutes. We were sat immediately after arriving but no server came to greet us or take our drink orders. After about 10 minutes the table next to us got sat. They were greeted and ordered their food within 10 more minutes. We still had not even been greeted or asked if we wanted drinks. My daughter got up and walked over to the bar to buy a glass of wine, came back....still no server had come by. By then we'd been there for about 25 minutes. I finally went to the host stand and asked if anyone was going to come take our drink and appetizer orders. A server came by, no introduction, no apology, and asked to take our drink orders and the order for my grandson. We got our drinks and my husband arrived to join us. We ordered our meals which came out fairly quickly which was nice. However, our server never checked on us and when my husband asked for a refill on his diet coke, it never came. I wanted my favorite dessert but as I mentioned before, we never saw our server again. The server never even came to collect payment. I guess he just assumed we were paying with card on the little table kiosk. I did pay using my gift card I'd gotten for my Birthday on the kiosk which was out of paper. My daughter, who was paying cash actually had to go to the bar to see if the bartender could pull up the remaining balance so she could pay. We have dined at this Chili's on several occasions and never ever had such horrible service but after today, I'm not sure we'll be back. read more

What a place. I was really disappointed with this place. One of the employees that was cleaning the tables that had a gray shirt that said the RIB on his left side was scratching his growing all the time. It's not just over his pants, he was putting his whole hand inside himself. Yes I was watching him all the time to make sure he would not touch our food or anything that came to us. He was also seating new customers graving the menu with his dirty hands. I did tell another employee and said that she was going to tell her manager. First time trying Chili's. The staff is nice, prices are good, at $8 for a lunch combo or $8.19 for bottomless soup, salad, chips and salsa. Unfortunately, that's about all I can say on the positive side. Seating was uncomfortable all around the restaurant. The salsa was the saucy kind, not the chunky kind, and had no flavor to it other than spiciness. The chips were super oily, almost transparent from being oil soaked! And there's just too much cheese involved in the soups and salad. I had the bottomless soup/salad/chips. Didn't like any of the soups. Not much flavor to the Chicken Enchilada Soup and the Southwest Chicken Soup other than spiciness, and having the Potato Soup was like drinking molten cheese! At least the salad was normal, but for some reason they had to top it with cheese. Even if I had asked for everything with no cheese on top, the flavor of the food is still not something I'd return for. We used to eat at Chili's several times a month and usually had a good experience. A couple of days ago we decided to try this Chili's again after several disappointing visits (very poor service) and an absence of over a year. It wasn't busy and we had a great server. and the food quality was almost excellent. That is a wonderful improvement over the last time we were there. The question now is whether or not they can maintain that experience. There is one very annoying but minor issue they have, along with a lot of other restaurants. The "Gratuity Guide" on the charge slip calculates the % on the full amount of the charge, including tax. Tips are never calculated with the tax included, never have been and never will be. In my view this is a blatent error that the management surely knows about but doesn't want to fix. It really says something about what they think of their customers. read more

Went yesterday, a Saturday afternoon at around noon. We were in the office working on computer training and decided to go there for lunch. There were nine of us. We were handed menus. Took about 20 minutes for the waitress to show to take our order. Took another 30 minutes to get the food. In the meantime, we had chips and salsa to stave our hunger. The chips were kind of good, thin and crispy like. I wasn't a fan of the salsa much. It was thin and not much flavor. I had a chicken wrap of some kind. It was OK. Not worth the wait, though. Chili's, what can you expect. Typical mediocre bar food. Decent chips and salsa, and beer selection. If you are after a quick, on-the-cheaper side meal then Chili's may be an okay choice. The Chili's restaurant staff needs to be reminded sweep once in a while. There were food particles, fires, chips, and other stuff scattered around the restaurant floor. If you had not been in a Chili's before, this would lead you back out the door. Chili's food is just "okay", nothing special. Chili's food has that it was prepared somewhere else and reheated here taste. So the food experience aside, what I saw was the worst thing about the Chili's restaurant at 5090 Smithridge Dr. Reno, NV. was when we were leaving. A couple walked in with a forty to fifty pound boxer dog. No signs of it being a service dog, just a simple leash. What was more appalling was that the Chili's staff seated them. What does the Health Department have to say about animals in a food establishment? What I have to say is that my family and I won't be back to this Chili's. A line has to be drawn on what is acceptable as hygienic in restaurant. Wake up Chili's, you bent to please two people with a dog. My family has been taking vacations to Reno from California for many years. As everyone who frequently eats out, chain restaurants have been a necessary scourge on trips but this one instance it was a blessing. Traveling with my wife, son and brother, we decided to go to Chili's only due to my brother having gift cards from Christmas. We couldn't have had a better experience if we went for a much fancier fare. Our server James instantly out us at ease and even my son (who is on the autism spectrum) was relaxed enough to eat in public (which is very rare). We we're all thoroughly parched from our 4 hour drive and our cups never went dry and our food and updates on it's time to table were given freely. Once again, we regularly frequent this city and will now frequent this restaurant absolutely as often and I highly recommend Everyone else do the same. 5*s is rare for this Yelper but in this case well deserved. read more

We normally come here to this location and have never had a problem until this last visit. Marissa was our server and have been served by her before. Marissa was very pushy about what we wanted to order and didn't come to fill out drinks. It wasn't busy so none of this made sense. Another person brought us our food. Our drinks still weren't filled. We start to eat our food and my steak fajitas tasted like soap like everything on my plate. Marissa finally came around to fill our drinks and I mentioned to her the soapy taste. Marissa rolled her eyes at me and proceeded to tell me it's the oil that they use. She did nothing to correct the situation so I didn't eat my food and just drank my drink. At the end our visit I get a phone call and I step out side to take the call. Marissa and a tall red headed woman treated me and the other person I was with like we were going to leave without paying. I simply explained I had to take a call and the other person I was with sat at our table it's not like we both left the table. I'm paying for the whole lunch and I was upset that the steak fajitas was on our bill even though I was not satisfied and our waiter Marissa did nothing to correct the situation.
