We used to go to this location all the time. NEVER an issue. Now the past three times we have been in the parking lot is almost empty and there is a 40-50 min wait. Today it took someone 10 minutes to show up to the hostess podium as we stood there with three other families at 3:30pm. The girl was extremely rude to the family in front of us and then told them 40 min wait. They left as they weren't waiting that long for an almost empty dining room. Then as we stood there staring at her, she messed with the computer and another staff member came up to maybe help her. They never looked up and said two words....like....just one moment....it will be one second....nothing. Then she rudely asked our phone number and told us it would be an hour wait. Ok. This place is absolutely terrible. First we ordered food and they brought it out with all the wrong stuff. Like completely wrong. Food was missing and we couldn't get it remedied until we were almost done with our food. Second we needed itemized receipts and it literally took 20 min to even get them while the manager took her time and stood around in the back in plain view not doing anything. We asked to speak with her as well and she did not even come to the table. Then I was charged for things I didn't order and when I asked to get it fixed that took another 20 min and I still couldn't get a correct receipt or my correct change! i had awful service from the short blonde haired older lady with glasses. she was very hateful with her actions as she snatched a menu out of my hands. we were still very polite as she kept being hateful to us. i then proceeded to pay on the tablets and left a 0$ tip because i was going to use cash. before i even had a chance to give her my tip she approached the table and said "just so you guys know i make $2.13 an hour so tips are appreciated and i saw one of you payout with no tip" so i asked for the manager and he proceeded to not say he was sorry for our bad service, he just stood there and looked at us like we were stupid and then our waitress decided to come over and start arguing with us and said that we just took her in a rude way because she's just very efficient in her job, which is NOT true. IMMEDIATE HEALTHCARE WARNING: Girlfriend and I ate here Sat., May 16. She ordered pork carnitas and immediately became overwhelmed with horriffic diarrhea followed by vomiting the proceeding two days. For two weeks after the dinner, the violent diarrhea persisted. As of Thurs., May 28 we have admitted her to a hospital in Lafayette, IN where we were informed of her kidney failure and potential blood disorder. One nephrologist immediately equated the kidney failure to a previous Jack In The Box incident where undercooked meat caused kidney failure in many customers. One nurse even suggested contacting her family's attorney as the root cause of kidney failure can only be linked to the Chili's dinner. She has had no previous health issues, never even stayed in a hospital overnight as a 22 year old woman. I wish something positive could be said of the service, but that would be an utter lie. Our table was sticky from residue, had to remind our waiter for silverware numerous times, and were never greeted when entering the building. After our dinner, we have been vehemently warning others to stay away from all Chili's locations in fear that our friends and loved ones may succumb to this awful situation. Now, awaiting plasmapheresis and dialysis sessions tomorrow and Tuesday we can't help but let others know of the immense risk posed to their health. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION WHEN EATING AT THIS SPECIFIC CHILI'S AND ANY OTHER CHILI'S LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXHIBIT SUBPAR HEALTH STANDARDS AS WELL. I've made Chili's one of my frequent lunch spots during the work week. They've added a nice lunch menu in the past year or so that has some good variety and prices. I usually go with a half sandwich and soup of some kind. They are always changing up the sandwiches and soups which makes it good. Do not order carry out from them. Called and was told it would be 90mins for carry out, that's fine we want to support different places. Daughter showed up 80mins later to pick up. Had had to call over one of the staff to let them know she was there, 20mins later she called and was told they did not have our order, she ended up talking to 2 other people and when the food was brought out, no discount was offered. The food was fantastic! We've been twice in the last two weeks to two different Chili's locations, one in Florida and this Plainfield location and the food is consistent in both locations! Yum! However, the service was sub par. We were seated by the hostess by her just motioning to the table. There were no words, not even silverware was brought to the table. The waitress took 3 minutes to arrive at the table and we politely both ordered a sweet tea and she just stared at us. We understood that some food service locations don't carry sweet tea up north, but she awkwardly said "uh okay" and walked away. She brought us our teas and we ordered an appetizer. It was promptly brought to us and we ordered our food. She said "okay" and walked away again. The food came out quickly. We didn't have our silver wear yet so we waited patiently thinking our server would come to the table to check on us but after 3 minutes we walked up to the hostess stand to get some. The host said she would bring us some in a minute. It took another 3 minutes for us to begin eating our meal. The meal was great but our server never came to check on us until she brought us the check and said "cash for me, card for this" and pointed to the card reader. We paid and left. We had the best server ever! Her name was Samantha. She was very attentive to our needs and we were a needy party of 5. I think I had 5 refills alone! I came into Chili's to pick up a to-go order for the office, which we've done a handful of times before. The hostess was polite and directed me to the pick-up spot. When I walked back, I had to wait for five minutes before a waitress noticed me and sent someone to help me. We had two salads, a salmon dish, and two drinks, which needed to be split between two credit cards and cash. The waiter helping me ran one of the cards for the wrong entree but couldn't open the charge, so he went got the manager and ran off with the cash in hand. He came back a couple of minutes later with the manager and the cash. She couldn't open the charge, so finally she just adds a second charge for the rest of the amount for the first card, runs the second card, takes the cash, but doesn't have change. She sends the waiter to go get cash, and then remembers that she can open the cash box. The whole process from walking in until I walked out with the food took almost twenty minutes. I've done to-go orders from plenty of other places around Main Street and never had any kind of problem like this. Poor customer service and the restaurant was not busy at all - one guy sitting at the bar and a handful of tables full (1 pm on a Monday). read more

The waitress didn't refresh our drinks and also didn't check back with us to make sure our burger was cooked thoroughly. It was not. (For both of the people who ordered burgers with bacon.) We have one problem with Chili's, i.e., we always leave too full. The menu is SO good and the food selections are awesome. We skip eating all day in anticipation of going out to Chili's. We're always saying, "Oh! You HAVE to try this!" (offering bites to the others) and then we try this dish and that dish and appetizers and desserts and drinks and then we waddle out of the restaurant hoping no one saw what all we consumed. We love trying foods that are outside of the normal range of things I cook at home and enjoying all the different spicy dishes offered.
