Ordered a double burger plain with corn on the cob and chips and it wasn't bad for a basic burger. I enjoy logans burger more as it is jucier and has more flavor, however, this burger was cooked to order and made fresh. I have no complaints.

30 minute wait on a Saturday evening. Good service. They were out of their burger bites but that must mean they were good enough to run out. Atmosphere was chill.

I was super disappointed with this Chilis. I've always loved Chilis, but this visit just made me want to sit in a bath filled of hand sanitizer. When I first walked in, I had to use the restroom. Im not sure why, but the left sink drain was filled with hair. I just thought "ew," brushed it off (no pun intended) and washed my hands in the next sink. Got back to the bar, my spouse was for some reason standing and talking to the bartender. He was ordering our drinks, waiting for her to clean a booth (all booths in the bar were dirty). I asked him why we didn't just sit at the bar, he said that we "weren't allowed to" because of covid... but by the time I get out there, it was just a dirty place setting where someone had just left. After our drinks got delivered, my spouse made a gross face, and picked a long hair off the outside of my drink. Disgusting, but it was the outside so I didn't complain. Then, after literally about 7 minutes of sitting down, our bartender asks if there's anything else she can get for us tonight. Granted, they closed at 11, but it was literally 10:15 when she asked this. Slightly frustrated, I asked for the check. She quickly apologized saying "she has a lot of cleaning to do, but this is the payment method" and turned the iPad towards us. I can't make this up, there was a huge hair hanging off of it!!! I mean, come on. We are in a national pandemic. Literally saw hair everywhere not once, not twice, but 3 times in maybe a 25 minute visit. I won't be returning to this Chilis. Just thinking about it, it makes me want to vomit and scrub myself in hand sanitizer. I would honestly avoid until they have better cleaning measures, and maybe not so rude staff.

I haven't had Chili's in over a year partly because the one closest to me closed. While shopping in Plainfield on a Saturday, I decided to do curbside pickup here. I was reminded that their lunch special is unmatched. I was able to order and pay online. A member of their friendly staff brought our food right out, once we alerted them via text that we were there. Order was packed well, food was hot and tasty. Both meals also came with a small salad and drink(not pictured) all for $10. I ended up eating my salad and corn on the cob later that evening. Portions are really good for the price. Will be back!

    "Fajitas" no flavor at all.

Food was overcooked and my hamburger was crunchy, service was horrible and the waitress spilled my soda all over. Server was not attentive.

I got the quesa birria tacos, which is shredded beef and melted cheese in a double corn tortilla. They come three to an order, with a cup of red consomme to dip them into, and a couple of lime wedges to squeeze over everything. They do not come with any sides, so I ordered the refried pinto beans and carrot rice, because I really wanted some rice and beans. Beans and rice are my litmus test of any Mexican restaurant, and I'm happy to say that the rice and beans at Tlahcos passed the test with flying colors, and they are sublime. I don't practice Santeria, but perhaps the people at Tlahcos do, because their food is bewitching. The carne asada was also ordered, and it came with grilled nopales (cactus), cebollita canbray (little onions), grilled panela cheese, plus guacamole, salsa, rice and black beans. It was a 98%, and what would have raised it to a 100% was if it came with tortillas. But really, it was a great dish! If you're a person who is used to eating carne asada on a regular basis, you will be satisfied with this one. Chips and salsa are complimentary, which shows that Tlahcos knows its Plainfield-area visitors. My children, who eat like birds, filled themselves up on chips and salsa and declined a full meal, but Tlahcos does have a kids menu. On the kids menu, you'll find arroz con pollo, mini cheese quesadillas, a taco, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and a mini pizza. Kid meals come with your choice of side, which are fries, rice & beans or a cup of fruit. They have a full cocktail list, as well as beer, wine and hot beverages (coffee and tea). I got a Paloma, which was a little light on the booze, but tasty nevertheless. The rim of the glass was beautifully decorated with Tajin, which added a nice, spicy kick. It was one of those drinks that makes you want to lick the glass.

The drinks are great. I have had the Birria tacos, the guacamole, the refried beans, and black beans, as well as multiple food options. Seriously, I have taken clients here as well as family. My most recent experience was still great, but there are two items I would never order off the menu. Let's look at the good and bad of these items: Baja Fish Tacos- I was looking for the cabbage-filled delicacies that are light but flavorful. What I received appeared to be small fish sticks stuck into a tortilla. The cabbage and sauce were tasty, but they could not mask the main cause of the tacos' failure: the fish. Do not order these. Ceviche Yucatan- looking for flavor with the light ceviche? That is not what this is. This is a large portion of ceviche dressed in a sweet sauce that completely overpowers it. Not even sure that you can call it a ceviche at this point. But the portion was good, and the ceviche ingredients looked fresh. Otherwise, we had the house guac, which was so so good, the birria tacos, which were amazing with the sauce as usual, the fundido, which was flavorful cheese and chorizo, as well as the Zapopan, which was a wonderful fusion of mango and spice (who knew bacon in this would be great). Housemade Horchata is great, not too sweet and flavorful as well as the Rita margarita! GREAT. Overall, a great night, some great food, and I will be back, but I will just not order the two items discussed above! PROS: Great flavors and food Good seating Good service Parking garage or street parking, easy CONS: Smaller actual bar top area

Almost resembling a chain restaurant( which it very well might be--no idea if it is). We were promptly greeted and seated. A friendly server took our drink orders. I had the happy hour special margarita and hubby had a Modelo. We even put in our second drink order immediately since happy hour ended in a few minutes. The drink I received was salty and not sweet at all--however, the second one proved corrected and refreshing. We gave our food orders which consisted of the ceviche and the molcajete. The food came very quickly! Which made us very happy as we were starving! If you have never tried a molcajete--it feeds two easily. It has beef steak, chicken, shrimp and nopales. And the broth in the bottom of the bowl? Ask for more tortillas--because it's delicious! My goodness-don't leave it! We definitely couldn't eat it all and had to take the remainder home. As I write this--my stomach is growling. I can't wait to return!

Lately, though, everything has become very mediocre -- it honestly feels like there's been a change in the kitchen. Even the chips, which should be a slam dunk, are bland and forgettable. The physical space is still fantastic -- the restaurant is beautiful and the huge bar is a major plus. But what's going on with the food? With prices as high as they are (like everywhere these days), the quality should match -- and unfortunately, it doesn't. I hope they find their way back to what made them special in the beginning.

Customer Service: Our server was friendly and patient as we were a group of 6 ordering a little of everything.
