Chuys used to be better to me or maybe it was because I was in college. Either way the house salsa is spicy. They use Serrano peppers in it (not family and heat sensitive friendly). We were told they have new owners. The food is commercial Tex mex. No complaints on the food it was ok but our server was great.

Amazing takeout at this place. I was staying at the hotel next door. Ordered a steak burrito on their website. It was ready 20 mins later. Paid $17 including tax. It was delicious and full of meat and came with two sides and chips and salsa. Can't enough.

The plce was a cute little place decorated with a texas /mexican decor. Which left me so confused but anyway. The service was okay it wasnt bad just no above or beyound and definitely not personable. Now the food taste like unauthentic people were cooking it. It was just okay. Probably will be my first and last time there.

While I've been to Chuy's in other locations this was my first trip to the location in Greenwood. Like the others, I enjoyed it and I think it's my favorite 'large chain' Mexican option. Wife, son and I showed up after the dinner rush as we were in town for an event. We were seated immediately and there were plenty of tables available. Our hostess asked for our drink order and if we wanted queso, etc. and our server arrived a bit later. Wife ordered flautas, and was surprised at how many (6) were in her order when they arrived. She loved them and asked for a box so she could have them for lunch the next day. I had the burrito as big as my face. Indeed it was. Tasty too but no need for a box for me as I ate it all! I chose ground beef but wish I had done the beef fajita mix. Got it Tex mex style and love their sauce. Son had chicken tacos and also liked them as well. Good food, good service, and we were stuffed when we left. The salsa was a bit spicy but that's the way I like it so a win all around for this trip!

Having lived in Texas for over two decades, I LOVE Chuy's and am so sad that the locations that appeared in Illinois briefly for a few years didn't last. So when my boyfriend spotted this location on a road trip, we knew we would have to hit it on the way back! I could honestly be happy just eating their chips and creamy jalapeno dip with a house margarita, but we needed more substance so went for the queso: a good consistency, not too thick or thin, and doesn't break their ultra-thin chips! For dinner, I got the tacos al carbon (like fajitas but less work) and he got the chicken flautas (having never been to a Chuy's before, he was suitably impressed and I have made a convert out of him). Our server was friendly and kept an eye on us for chip and drink refills. I also chatted with another staff member before we left; it turned out he had opened the location in Texas which was the most recent Chuy's I ate at on a different trip, and we also went to the same college! Chuy's is proof that a chain can endure for years and also be really good! We'll be back on our next road trip!

Dust hanging from the ceiling, and this wasn't the worst of it. Scary to think what the kitchen looks like!!

Highly recommend going somewhere else. The food was horrible, so much, we did not eat it. Beer was warm, and glass brought with it was dirty. No manager to be seen. The filth of dust hanging from the ceiling was disgusting! The only good thing about this place was the dog pics on the walls. Don't waste your money, go elsewhere! The photo below shows the dust on the ceiling,

I was greeted when I walked in. This was my first visit. I didn't really know what I was going to get. They had a decent happy hour menu so I chose a dip from it. I wasn't disdisappointed. The chips were a little thin but nothing to complain about.

My daughter took me here recently. She loves this restaurant. They have a manageable and reasonably sized menu to choose from. Their food is fresh, made in house and is plentiful and tasty. The price point for the food was acceptable too. The space and atmosphere is decorated nicely, and is also welcoming and clean. I liked my dinner and the extras were great too - queso dip, salsa and guacamole. The chips are exceptionally thin and fresh and they are salted perfectly, just the way I like them. I only wish they had (stuffed cheese poblano peppers) chili rellenos . They said they don't always have them available on a consistent basis. Their multi condiment sauce offerings are a nice touch and addition to the food. I tried the ranch sauce and it's right on. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The varied kids menu is an added plus. I would recommend them and would go again if I am in the area.

I met my girlfriend for lunch at Chuy's on the south side off of Southport Road. She had never been, so it was fun to take a life long southsider to a restaurant she'd never been to. We were seated immediately with a busy Friday lunch crowd. I was surprised how much busier it was around 3:30 than at 12:30. I guess it was that busy so late because it was a Friday afternoon. They have a nice selection of signature Ritas, 3 types of Martinis, Texas size cocktails, beer, and wine. The New Mexican Martini was very refreshing. I love that they use all fresh ingredients and make all their own sauces and tortillas. I was told they do not have a freezer on-site because everything is made fresh. My friend loved the fresh, thin, hot chips and salsas. The queso dip was fresh, hot, and a perfect choice to accompany the chips. I ordered the hot Hatch Green Chili sauce, which I love, but my friend didn't care for. She did like the mild jalapeno ranch dip and the mild tomatillo sauce. She ordered the "Big as your face" roasted chicken burrito filled with refried beans, chicken, and topped with a generous amount of queso sauce. She enjoyed and took half of it home for her husband to enjoy. I ordered my favorite, the Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom Enchiladas, with roasted chicken and cheese and topped with their delicious Boom Boom sauce served with rice and beans. I ended up taking half of my home also after devouring to many fabulous chips. The menu offers all of your favorite Mexican from tacos to fajitas. I do wish they'd bring back their charro beans, which they discontinued during the Covid outbreak. Their are several locations in Indianapolis to enjoy. Whether north or south side, you'll enjoy the experience.

This was my first time at Chuy's but wasn't impressed with the food or customer service. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with boom boom sauce and the chicken was cold and hard and didn't have any flavor to it. The customer service wasn't the best either...we had to go find our waitress to request warm tortilla for the fajitas because the one they gave was cold. The chicken fajitas were a lot more seasoned than the enchiladas. I would go back again but would order either the chicken fajitas or the chicken and rice bowl.

It wasn't my first Chuy's experience and it definitely won't be my last either! As a huge lover of chips and salsa, Chuy's is the perfect spot for me to go on a date night. Our server was very helpful and friendly and recommended some dishes when I requested. I was torn between a couple different things but settled on a beef Tex-Mex burrito bowl per her recommendation. My fiance got a burrito and added cheese on top of it. While we waited for our food we enjoyed some chips and salsa and whatever the other dip they give is. I really love how thin and crispy their chips are. They're perfectly salty and crunchy. Our food came pretty fast, and it took us no time to dig in. Their meat was cooked to absolute perfection. The beef was tender and seasoned well. I was on a mission to finish the whole bowl, but it's stuffed so much with cheese, pico, and guac that it's a tough task! My fiance managed to finish his entire burrito which was quite an impressive feat. They aren't lying when they said they're "As big as your face". I am certain we will be back soon. We moved only 5 minutes away from their Southport location so it's a close option for us!

First time at Chuy's and while not my favorite Mexican place, it was very good. Most of the menu items have a sauce that vary in heat level. Even the mild sauce I had, had a kick. Service was very attentive and food came out very quick.

Was in town so we decided to try this out. Walked right in and was seated. Took a few for our server as she was hustling around. Drink orders were taken and chips and salsa brought. No queso as the set up so we ordered a side. Orders were taken. Chips and salsa were refilled as were the drinks. Took abt 10 minutes or so to get our food. The salsa has a slight bite but I wanted more so I asked for a side of their green chili salsa which was listed as hot. It wasn't but had a good flavor. The regular setup salsa was actually hotter. Everyone got the correct order. Food was very good and the flavors and spices stood out. Everyone pretty much finished their meals and were very satisfied. Our server, Alisha, was awesome. She had a loud voice and carried well. Dessert was offered but we all passed. We got there at a good time as it is Black Friday. There was a waiting line when we left. Was a good stop.

It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. The daily food and drink specials made choosing lunch even harder (in the best way). We ordered the breaded tenderloin and the Hot Italian sandwich, and both were excellent. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and exactly what you hope for when ordering a Hoosier classic. The Hot Italian didn't disappoint either--loaded with flavor and paired with fries that were crispy, well-seasoned, and dangerously addictive. Fries Worth Fighting Over?
