If your really hungry I guess this isn't the place for you. I came here on Monday after work to dine. Chili's has this 2 Fajita Special on Monday's where you choose to get 2 meats of Chicken, Steak or Shrimp. Also, they have $3.00 Classic Margarita's. I walked in and was greeted at the front entrance. There were like 3 young ladies standing behind a small booth. I told them that I would sit at the bar. I walked over to the bar to take my seat. The bar stools are not stable and very wobbly. I saw a small empty booth and decide it was best I sit myself in a more comfortable area. I sat there and waited, waited and waited. Ok hmmm Is anyone coming over to at least give me a glass of water. I finally saw one of the hostess and asked if anyone was coming to take my order. The young lady was very polite and said someone will be here shortly to take my order. Again I waited, waited and waited. The young lady walks past me again and she noticed that NO ONE had come to take my order. She was attentive and nice to ask me what I was ordering even though that wasn't her area. She took my order and brisk away and finally came back with my much needed Classic Margarita. Finally here comes my server after 15 or 20 minutes ready to take my order. Excuse Me. I will give an extra star because she did apologize. I had to ask for a glass of water and more napkins. My food arrives in no time sizzling hot just the way I like it. The chicken fajitas were seasoned and delicious. The steak was a bit tough and hard to chew and my rice wasn't good. I ate as much as I could and was just disappointed and ready to get my check and leave. My server came over and gave me a container to pack up my food. When she came back with the check. I noticed that my bill didn't equal up correctly to what I had order. My server correct my bill and I couldn't wait to exit this place. I wasn't going to leave a tip but my good side wouldn't allow me to be mean. It's just really disappointing that I had to sit and wait for 15 to 20 minutes to be served. Wow. This place is awful. Let's start with the manager. She is checking vaccination cards with her mask around her chin. Lovely. The bar. Our bartender was so sweet. You could tell she was busy and had a lot going on but was so nice through it all. The way they have the bar situated makes zero sense. Someone with no brain organized it. There is this huge cooler that also had bottles of liquor/mixers right in front of the draft beer spouts. The bartenders have to contort and injure themselves to pour a draft beer. After I saw that once, I ordered bottled beer. No one with any sense would put something enormous in front of draft spouts. Please fix this for your bartenders. It's making their job more difficult. Now the food. The queso dip. It looks like what's in a baby's diaper. It tastes like puréed hormel chili with no cheese (that's what queso means in English) to be seen. It was so gross. The southwest egg rolls were ok but chicken was nowhere. I'm sure the restaurant gets them frozen so it's not the cook's fault but talk about more terrible food. Came here Friday night. The food was wonderful and came out right on time. Josh was our server and he was polite and quick. The only flaw is the place is so dirty. The walls are damaged and seemed to need a wash down. The booth seats were so deflated, misshapen, plus worn and torn. The isles had paper straw wrappings about. My family and I came in at 12:35pm to have lunch. Since we love Chili's. A party of 4. The place was pretty empty but I understand if there wasn't enough staff. Since, I also work in the restaurant industry. The host told us the wait was 10-15 so we said that's fine. Another party of 4 came in after us 5 minutes after give or take. Initially was told by one of the workers because doordash delivered it, ill have to be refunded through doordash. [Chili's & Doordash are in partnership as far as delivery FYI]. Immediately asked to speak w/ the manager because the poor baby didnt know a thing. SCOTT the manager resolved this issue only verbally, obviously, and we agreed on a e-giftcard. Giftcard never came to my email. This is where it gets interesting. I called every week or so, because SCOTT said it may take a week to come via email. Here's all the outgoing calls I made to follow up... 9/11/21 (17 mins), 9/22/21 (15 mins), 10/4/21 (4 mins), 10/18/21 (28 mins), 10/21/21 (4 mins), 10/27/21 (4mins). On these days I've left my number and info EACH TIME for a manager to call back. I also spoke with MELISSA the other manager *twice and she was suppose to follow up and call me back. Just imagine 6 sticky notes somewhere in Chili's w/ my name and number and NO ONE followed up. NO INCOMING CALLS, NO EMAILS. NOTHING!! And thats why this place... ZERO. The food is good, but God forbid something is wrong w/ it. Chili's cannot help you w/ Chili's mistakes apparantly. Tommorow morning I'll just call corporate. Well what sucked was it was my graduation day, I was with my spouse and mother in law and thought going here after a long commencement would be a cake walk. Sh*t. First the host had an attitude when he welcomed us, then sat us for no reason in the bar area. You know because my 70 year old mother is going to be chugging shots like a frat boy since it was the weekend. So besides that being highly inappropriate all the tables and seats were barely clean. Oh and my mother asked the host for a decaf tea and he immediately asked what was her second choice wtf???? He did not even check to see if they carried decaf or explained if Chilis did not carry decaf just give me another choice bs. Then came our waiter who throughout the meal was missing like a "where's waldo?" puzzle. If he did appear it was to socialize with the other misfit toys in the bar area. Only time they ACTED like they were doing anything was if the manager (I guess) came out from the back. At one point we had to ask for napkins, (yes!) and then waited forever before he returned with about a handful. Mind you I am all about recycling and saving the tree but this was ridiculous. I ordered a Steak (well done) and fries, but the steak was pink inside and the fries were yuck, no ketchup no steak sauce to give this meal a chance. I would have asked the waiter if I could find him. So the wife did a spiderman impression and crawled on an adjacent table to get ketchup. Which did not help. Oh and drink refills? Nope none of that. We also ordered the bottomless nachos and salsa we ate the chips to the bottom. Yes we found the bottom! There were two other customers that had problems with locating the waiter as well, and were asking if they could pay the bartender so they could go. Someone had to physically get the waiter to show up with the check. When it was our turn to leave we had a similar problem as we waited forever for our bill because the waiter was hanging out with the other employees. UNTIL management reappeared. That is when we Finally got his attention and our check. Ah but when we tried to sign the the check, the pen that did not work and again our waiter could not be found. My wife alerted one of the other employees behind the bar to find a pen for us during this ruckus Captain timely (our waiter) appeared about 5 minutes later. Came in the other day and walked up to the host who looked at me like I was out of place, then reluctantly sat me. I came ahead of my friends by 10-15 minutes and asked for a table for 4. Was sat and ignored completely until 5 minutes after my friends arrived (20 minutes total). I believe I was ignored by the staff because I am a WHITE man and the staff seemed cold towards me until my African American and Hispanic friends joined me. Our gentleman server was very nice once we were finally attended to and I didn't see him until the very moment he came down and asked if anyone had attended to us, so I wouldn't count him in as part of the group that neglected me for my race. The food was pretty horrible. I don't think this was due to slow service or anything, I think that's just how the food normally is. Glasses weren't exactly very clean and the utensils were pretty disgusting. The menus were covered in food and stains and we were only provided with a few paper napkins for the whole table. We stopped in while shopping nearby for cocktails and their Quesadilla Explosion Salad which is my favorite. I am glad they shrank the salad size to avoid waste because it used to be twice as large. The portion size is now perfect for one adult. Their Captain's Castaway cocktail was delicious (I typically dislike rum but it had only a light tinge of rum). Service was good, but servers should always bring glasses of water and napkins. We should not have to ask for these items hence the one-star deduction. read more
