This was my first time coming to this location and the customer service was amazing. Our waiter took care of our needs and we were in and out the restaurant in a little over an hour. When we walked in we were seated right away. The food arrived to the table fresh and hot within 15 minutes. The drinks were not watered down. We.got there at 11:30 the place was relatively empty but we were quoted a 20 minute wait. we waited maybe 5 minutes. Our server got sat 6 tables back to back so once he took our order we didn't see him again till it was time to go. He was very nice but a server getting slammed like that is honestly because of poor management. The food was ok. We only came to try their mozzarella sticks. It was shift change so I can understand some things may have gotten missed, but we got sat in the bar section and saw 3 other tables get sat in the same section after us. Our server (James I think) was really good and the food was good as well; so good that I forgot to take pictures; disclaimer I do usually get the same thing every time, see my Tips below. I'm not sure where all the negative reviews come from perhaps people just don't know what to order. The chicken was not crispy, looked freezer burned, the fried cheese was stale, over cooked on the outside and not gooey at all on the inside! I opted for the enchilada salad that was a joke, nothing like the picture, was not served with the cheese quesadillas, and the chicken was not good at all! We paid, left, and went somewhere else to eat! There were so many dirty tables, and even the two seated booth we sat at had food and what looked like wine all over the wall! The food was standard for a Chili's, nothing to write home about and definitely not a place to take your date if you're trying to "wow" her. Perfect place to take kids, though. Service was great, both team members brought food to our table. The appetizer came out after the main dishes though after I asked. And the sides for the fajitas were forgotten until I'd finished my first one. The table has a piece of lettuce on it so not great, but may have been wiped down. The food is the same as all Chili's but was over cooked and dry. It didn't take a long time so it was the preparation not a heat lamp situation. After picking up a family friend in Montgomery, Al. we searched and found Chili's at Eastchase. They were one of the few which had a minimal wait and kept their establishment very clean and appealing. Upon entering, we were greeted promptly and sat down to order. Our server took the order and then we waited. We waited much longer than expected, but when our orders arrived we dived right in. Although my soup was late and arrived with the meal, I was pleased. The one star loss was due to the inefficiency of the staff. We not only had to explain our order more than once, there was a jumpscare when the server dropped a loaded plate onto the floor. All in all everything tasted well and we had a good meal. I will return again. A great lunch at a decent price. read more

I just recently moved from Arizona to Alabama last October. In Arizona, we ate at the Chili's near our home almost every week and sometimes more often. I'm very familiar with them. Today I met friends at this Chili's and was very disappointed in my service. I ordered the Lunch Endless Soup, salad and chips & salsa. I asked for a side of Guacamole also. The tea I received only had a few pieces of ice in it and was warm. I asked for a refill and was refilled from a pitcher with NO ICE! I asked for some ice. NEVER got the ice and never got the guacamole. She never offered a refill on my soup or salad. When we were ready to leave, I asked for a take-home container for my chips and salsa. I was brought a black Styrofoam container for my chips and a container for the salsa. I know from experience that Chili's gives a special clear bag for their delicious chips that come with reheating directions. I didn't get that. Upon checking out, there were problems with trying to checkout with the table unit, and she told us she couldn't bring us individual receipts so we could check out using our cards. The service was terrible our server came to the table all of three times and I had to flag her down for two of them?... the food was good once we got it 30 minutes after we ordered it and the restaurant was half empty. I had to flag down another server to bring my soup because she never came to the table to see if the food had came out correctly or to see if we needed anything but it was good food. I had to ask for a refill after our drinks sat empty for 20 minutes after my boyfriend had already finished his food and I was halfway done with mine. We then waited another 20 minutes for the check after having to ask TWICE. She never once smiled at us or even introduced herself to us. We were clear in what we ordered never asked for anything extra and we are overall a very laid back simple couple never complicated. She treated us like the biggest inconvenience of her night but her other tables around us who got there long after we got there got their food before us, refills before us(multiple times), and check before us. Once we finally got our check my boyfriend paid and I put in the the tip because the service we received was horrendous (I was a server for years so I understand a bad night here and there which I have NEVER tipped bad for because I understand, but this experience was the first time I haven't because of the service we received). Lastly after tipping it gave us the option to do a survey and I was going to put my experience there and not blast it on the internet here but she literally SNATCHED the tablet from my hand after she saw me typing my review of her service and walked away. In the 50,s I was stationed in Del Rio, Tx and crossed over into Mexico regularly on the weekend. Mine and others at the time adopted a place on the Mexican side called Orlando's Hideaway and they served nachos that were individually individual made on wedges of really good Individual tortilla with beef & chicken, cheese and Jalapeños pepper slices. That was in the 50's as I said. Then to LA, UK, NE & AL was were I found them again in Montgomery. Several yeas past and I frequented Chilies often. Today I wanted nachos and order a pickup. Tropical sunrise with a Triple Dipper. Can't beat it. I enjoy the sliders, honey chicken and the southwestern egg rolls for my three choices. Sometimes the burgers/sliders come out over cooked but for the most part it's good and the chicken and egg rolls are pretty standard no matter the location. Service was good but not great. The bar tender looked like she was waiting the tables around the bar and servicing the bar. Hey, management? That might be too much, when the place is full of people, for one person to handle. Well, haven't eaten at chili's in a while because of bad food and service at another location. We walked in just at 2 in the afternoon to see it a little less than half full of customers. 90% of the empty tables were still full of dirty plates and glasses. Saw no less than 10 staff members in the eating area. They attempted to seat us at one of the small booth areas. The table, though free from dirty dishes, was very dirty. We pointed it out to the host and he said he would seat us elsewhere. He spoke into his radio and then picked up a dirty rag and attempted to clean the table top and seat us at the same seat. We sat and noticed the table still wasn't clean. The host said it was the "wood". We pointed out that it wasn't the wood. At that point we departed and went elsewhere. read more

I came here to put my name in for a large party. I told the hostess we were willing to split up. She and the other hostess rolled their eyes and stared at me. When I asked if they could put us down, they said they'd have to talk to a manager. I know every place is short staffed, which is why I said I was willing to split between 2 or 3 tables, if needed (we have 17 people). My family and I are fans of Chili's and wanted to stop in for a quick bite as we were traveling home from Georgia. The service, and food was deplorable to say the least. Once we walked in, the hostess asked us "how many?" I told her "Three." she replies "Umm, okay I gotta clean a table I will be right back." a few minutes pass by as we wait for our table. My Wife goes off to the bathroom while we wait. The Hostess returns to the podium and does not acknowledge me, or direct me to the table. She she just started watching the television above the bar. "This is awkward." I thought. I guess after a minute or so goes by she realized that she still needed to seat us. "Okay your table is ready." She seats us next to the bar, and leaves. My wife returned from the restroom and met us at the table. Once we ordered our Entrees, our server and virtually every employee in this establishment disappeared. No servers, bartenders or managers were on the floor at all. At the point where we were going to get up and leave, our server comes to our table with our food, after an incredibly long wait. I get my ribs, and they are as dry as desert sand. My Wife's quesadilla was dry, with burnt cheese and bacon inside. My son refused to touch his macaroni, and when asked why he isn't eating, he replied "My spoon smells funny, kind of like smoke." My wife inspected the utensil, and as did I, and on the handle of the spoon it smelled like marijuana smoke. ( I am a former police officer, as well as a restaurant manager, so I am well versed on both subject matters) Our server was gone and we could not find him, so my wife went to the bar and spoke with the bartender and asked for a manager. The manager arrived and explained that she examined the spoon and could not identify the odor we happened to smell. While the manager tried to discredit my wife's claims, I had to interrupt and explain how bad the service was from the moment we opened the doors of the restaurant. she stated that she was sorry and would make adjustments to our receipt. To my surprise, the entire bill was taken care of. Not one of us ate our meal, all we did was consume nachos and beverages. I believe the staff all went outside together (this explains why there was no one on the floor at one point) all had a smoke session together, while my families food sat under a heat lamp for an excessive amount of time. Once they all came inside, our server probably did not wash his hands and grabbed a spoon and put it into my son's macaroni. I was glad to just get the heck out of there and never look back. Taking care of my bill for me was not enough. Other people will eat here and they need to know what type of food and service to expect. It would be a disservice to not publicly state my experience here. Kitchens are supposed to have standards, as well as in the front of the house. I hope that the right person reads this review, takes it into consideration and uses it as a tool to fix the deficiencies. I love cooking, and I want no restaurant to fail. I however, refuse to let bad food practices, bad customer service, and irresponsible managers get away with collecting a paycheck when millions of Americans are unemployed and would happily have their job. read more

Chilies was the restaurant I, along with 3 other friends decided to dine for dinner. I ordered the quesadilla salad, was not good. There was more lettuce and tortilla strips, and hardly any chicken. Normally the salad comes with guacamole, this one did not. Two members of our party ordered quesadillas, and it, too did not come with guacamole. The waitress was asked for guacamole. She finally came with the guacamole, they were almost finished there meal. They also wanted refills on their drinks, the waitress never checked back to see if we were ok. Another waitress (I assume), came to our table. I assume she saw me waving my hand trying to get someone's attention. She came over to our table to check on us. Their request was given to her. One person in our party ordered the double cheeseburger and said it was delicious. So, I believe in giving flowers when they are earned.
