First time in, the staff was super helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. The food was good, came out quickish, and continually checked on by multiple members of the team to make sure I had everything I needed. Parking was a bit dicey but eventually found a spot read more

Lunch did not come to play today. Taco Momma really understood the assignment because baby... this grilled chicken & shrimp nacho salad??? A whole masterpiece. A whole moment. A whole mood booster. I sat here minding my blessed business while this plate healed parts of me that a pep talk couldn't reach. Seasoning? Perfect. Shrimp? Grilled like they had a point to prove. Chicken? My friend and I met here for lunch with our two daughters and our dog! We were actually meeting them halfway between Georgia and Florida and ended up here at Taco Mama to take ownership of the German Shepherd :-) I think the vibe and ambience of this restaurant is really fun And cool. Laid-back but lively. The young man that took our order was great. All of our food was delicious actually. My friend and I shared nachos. My daughter and her friend had a quesadilla as well as tacos. The chips are great and the salsa too. I would definitely eat here again and will keep it in mind that it's not far from the mall area there in Montgomery. read more

Taco Mama has really grown on me. I moved here a few months ago and was recommended to try this place. Upon the first few visits, I thought the prices were high and the food was just meh. I started switching up my order and finding what I liked the most. The queso and the chips and salsa have me in a chokehold!!! Sometimes the salsa or the chips can be way too salty, but it would only be select bites. I always get a mi casa margarita which has never disappointed to me. I got the Fisherman burrito and it was disgusting. The flounder was incredibly salty and had a glob of sour cream plopped on top of it. I couldn't even eat the burrito. The judge used to be my go to until today. I went it on a Tuesday for half priced margaritas and chips and queso. I decided to try the q-burrito and the cashier said it was really good. I was served my food in less than five minutes. Everything was hot and the server and cashier were so nice! When I tell you I ANNIHILATED that burrito. I love pulled pork sandwiches, and even though this was barbacoa, it was the closest thing to it. It was delicious and I think I found my new favorite meal. I give everything a 10/10 today. We had lunch at Taco Mama today. Very disappointed! The food was as very bland and tasted like they only had a salt shaker in the kitchen. We both had burritos - the judge and the happy hippie with shrimp. Both were full of liquid and the tortillas did not hold up. Every time I bit in watery juice went everywhere and on my clothes. Same scenario with the other. The Mexican Mac and cheese had no spices in it. Very bland. The prices are horrible for two burritos and two drinks the tab was $44. It's definitely not the quality it was and not for that kind of money. read more

My wife and I stopped into Taco Mama for a quick Sunday lunch and we had a great experience. The food was excellent and the counter staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating. My wife has a cilantro aversion and the fella behind the register insisted on allowing her a sample of the cilantro rice before ordering. Truly above and beyond on the service. Well done Taco Mama!! First time coming here and I'm so impressed. Love the decor and high ceilings here, makes it feel very open and fun. The food was top notch.. got the shredded chicken tacos. I was impressed with my first visit. Jeremy greeted me warmly, explained the entire menu, how to order, and what he recommends based on personal preference and general popularity. The food was fresh and delicious and incredibly well-priced for the amount they give you. I ordered take-out and I took longer to finish my conversation with Jeremy than it took for my food to be ready! It traveled home well, too. My burrito was a little rice-heavy and steak-light, but was still quite good. My only complaint is that they don't carry bell peppers!! I would love a quesadilla with onions and peppers. Decent flavor. Overpriced for what you get in your dish. The ambiance from sitting outside staring at a parking lot is rather comical. They could have placed this TM in a much better location than this "strip center". There are better restaurants for Mexican. read more

Fast friendly knowledgeable service in a clean environment. COVID common sense not so much. The Justice is Served signature taco itself was good. Flounder was well cooked and seasoned. The Ancho Slaw, avocado and other toppings worked. I do prefer the traditional concept of the toppings on top not the other way around. The side of corn really brought nothing. I was very hesitant to come here with my food allergies. I was able to get corn tortillas and fish and shrimp tacos. Seriously some of the best tacos I've ever had! Even their salsa was amazing! My husband had their burrito and was pleasantly surprised at the amazing flavor and how packed it was with meat and veggies. They know how to do it right! Can't wait to come back!! read more

This was our first time trying Taco Mama. The wait was very long and it took quite a while for our order to be taken , however, we were very surprised how quickly our food came out right after ordering. They had tasty queso and chips. We also tried the bbq taco and beef taco. They were tasty as well. All in all, I did not have many complaints on the food. If the wait was not as long I would try it again in the future. read more

The food and service was great! My chicken bowl was $9.90 and you get as many toppings as you want for FREE! Yes! Free guac, free queso, free avocado. Chips do not come with a bowl, they are an extra $2.00. The margarita was surprisingly good. I didn't think it would have much of a kick but it definitely did. Well we got there at 11:36 am today. There was a line out the door. We had heard so many great things about the place we decided to wait it out. The line barely moved. We waited in line for 30 minutes before they took our order. They had one register open the whole time with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors until we were next in line then they opened another register. We did get our food and I it was awesome. My wife got the nachos and I got 4 soft tacos. We also had some queso with chorizo and it was amazing. Unfortunately I don't think I would go back if they are only going to run one register with people lined up out the door. Food was awesome though! read more

This restaurant is new, so that may be part of the issue. But, last night we waited entirely too long to order. I'm not sure if the customers weren't sure what they wanted, or if the staff was just still too new. (Also note that we didn't arrive until 7:45, this was not peak dinner time) However, the food came to our table quickly after we ordered, I would say within 5 minutes. It was fresh, hot, and very tasty. From the taste of the crispy taco shells, I would say they are made in house. All of our orders seemed to be correct. And the staff was polite as they came around to see if we needed anything. We will definitely return, I'm just hoping to have less of a wait! read more

I wasn't a fan of the tacos so for this review I'll focus strictly on the fried chicken and I must say the fried chicken is off the chain. It's thick, juicy and just the right amount of heat and flavor. The fries show up and show out as well. The blend of Mexican-southern spices is faint and addictive. I've definitely added this to places I know I can trust to stop by and get some good chicken. Highly recommend

The food itself was delicious and there's something about the Salsa that made me use it as a side sauce for the entrée itself and not just the chips They're interior had smaller and larger tables which could accommodate larger parties if need be, but often in the corner, there were folks working from their laptops, enjoying supper All in all, it was a great experience and my group had a lot of fun so I'm glad that we went and would definitely go again when I'm back in town for school

Communication prior was great. Everything went well and we had a great time. With the added bartender and outside dessert fee, the total was roughly $105/person for 18 people. This included the pimento cheese board, wedge salad, entree, and small dessert. It is a tiny bit pricey for the size of the entrees, but was worth it for the private space, service, and quality.
